I'm just saying... if people try and control how others run their characters / gimmicks it will lead to less newbies wanting to be here than if there were no restrictions. If people want to run their characters like Stone Cold then so be it. If people want to run their characters like John Cena or Undertaker that should be okay too. As they say... more laws lead to tyranny

We just need to sell each other for what we want to be and have LESS Stone Cold types. That kind of promo should be earned. It's a crutch. Not everyone is the best and crazy and can no sell everything. That sucks for everyone else trying to tell a story beyond "you're dumb, I'm the best, go die."

I think running a stone cold type character is fine so long as you still acknowledge who and what your opponent is. I dont think many people (if any) approach matches the way CD just explained with the "you suck, I'm the best, go die" thing lol

I've won and lost through tap outs. That's no problem. No one cares how you win or lose they just look at the record.

Would it hurt to be a good enough writer to get that across? I mean..If you can't bring your character out and make the reader feel the danger then its pointless. I mean..if I'm a character named bobby who is 8 Feet tall and muders..im scary...but my rps dont get that across and I'm just saying "hey I killed a guy" with no real feeling of danger..that kind of hard to reply to. How do I make your character seem strong when you can't even do it yourself. Make me feel danger and Ill return it. Type up some bullshit and it wont be

And, it could go for many 'characters' here.. Even if it means, 'hey..I pinned you 2 weeks ago in a tag match and I will do it again in our one-on-one match.' And, should be used in a constructive manner for CD and match building, etc. |

I'm using Baron as an example of a guy that should be sold as he is presenting his character, he's as new guy as it comes. It's not new guys vs old guys. It's uncreative nonsense vs selling a character.
