There's a difference between pushing a character and selling a character. A big difference. No one is asking for a push. Just a sell. Like Dion said, there is a big difference. And its not JUST legends, you keep taking it there, its EVERYONE! You should sell everyone's character. To add, if you're not sure how you want your character to develop, ask! It is helpful if you have an idea of how you want your character to develop, so that when you have matches or stories with others, you have a sense of where you want that character to grow.

I agree it should be everyone but some of the legends and older people keep saying they won't do it for new people tell they earned it... I am going to continue to address characters the way I always have... I just wish the common courtesy existed... Like I said I agree with the message it's just how some of it was worded that upset the newer people here...

This place will become very very very interesting if every single person on the roster sells everyone else's character. Especially characters like Sarah Twilights because I have NEVER seen Twilight be anything but arrogant and overly confident lol

Pushing a character and selling them are different things IMO.
Zmac is an immortal zombie. That's what you're selling. But you don't have to push him as the greatest of all time. You can mention the multiple title reigns he's had but don't have to say he's the hottest thing. But if you're not taking about his gimmick you're kissing out on an opportunity to be creative.
I hope I'm not coming off confrontational I just like this topic.

Its not that people who have been here longer think that you should put our characters over yours, or think that we matter more, or think that we should always get the spotlight or the push, thats not it at all. What I meant, at least, was that A. I understand that you are a vet in other feds, but in WCF you are a rookie who has something to prove. I, as in Jeff, have proved myself. I had to climb a ladder to get the respect of my peers, completely in character, and you can't expect anyone to take you for what you are until you show that. You know what I mean? I have no problem selling a character, but I don't want to waste my time on people who are gone in a week. You know? For the most part, I won't even address you until you have been here for X amount of time, because being Part Time anyway, I really don't have to. But rest assured if I have have RP against you, I will ALWAYS acknowledge your gimmick. ALWAYS.

I did say new guys shouldn't come in here acting like Stone Cold because they haven't earned it.
You can have 100 years experience, you still haven't done anything here and you should sell everyone for what they are. I'm probably guilty of not selling character. But I'm going to make an effort to stop that.
My character has been devalued for YEARS. Nobody ever goes for what I am trying to be when RPing against me, they only write about what everyone else writes about - old, broken, blah blah. That's annoying. It's an easy target that isn't even true in the story.

My whole concept against you in the trios tournament last year was to encourage corey to bring back creeping death and to make fun of corey for denouncing people then teaming with them and called him weak not because he's old but because it appeared that he chose the dream team because he was so desperate to win. So not EVERYONE

So not EVERYONE We did (mostly my fault) never explain why Corey kidnapped Teo, did we? I would call it a plot hole except unexplained kidnappings are kind of a thing around here.

And its not JUST legends, you keep taking it there, its EVERYONE! You should sell everyone's character. Exactly! That was when I had my 'squash' outburst, which was TOTALLY misworded by me... My character was undersold, but I deserved to lose bc my RP was weaker than Rod/Lilith.. I wasn't looking for a push or the 'W,' but.. Sell each other as a package, both myself and last week, Lilith. I am still considered 'new' here, and I knew it would take time to climb up the card, or title shots, but in the mean time.. I just want to enjoy the ride, read a good match as the entertainment value, and also the 'selling' of each competitor tells the story IN the ring, which enhances tge handler selling the character OUT of the ring. Hey, if my record is 0'fer, then so be it, but that just tells me my RPs are weak, or my character is not solid, etc. And, then that's when I reach out to a legend/vet for pointers.. Especially, because I do have ring rust from 15 years off from not efedding. But, all in all, whomever wins in my matches. I want to come away and say, 'Damn, that was a good match and a good read,' versus...'F'n ppl made me lose.' NO I MADE myself lose.. Point blank. I had a weaker RP than my opponent. Bottom line. So, I am here to build on my 'last stage CD' persona, make him interesting, make the product better with my character, and also to enjoy working with IC allies/enemies to come up with some creative ideas, storylines, etc. That's why I'm here at least...for what it's worth.. *shrug* For me, it's not my WCF record I'm worried about. I am more focused on building and telling my character's story (in & out of the ring,) and building trust, and respect to work with vets/newbies to have a kickass match/show. So... That's all I have to say.
