"We have just learned that today, at the once thought to be shut down US Army Biological Warfare Facility at Fort Detrick, Maryland, a biological agent was released when a group of domestic terrorists attacked the facility. Armed with AK-47's, M-16 rifles, grenades and RPG's, the terrorists were able to breach the facility, overtake the staff inside and make off with resources. However, during the attack, several biological agents were mixed together, forming a super agent which was able to get into the air through the base's ventilation ducts.
While experts are hesitant to label the agent as such, many are claiming that those that come in contact with the infected air slowly succumb to the poison before dying, after which the infected bodies will come back to life, essentially making them "zombies".
There is still no word on why the base, which was reported to be closed down in 1969, was in fact still being used, or how domestic terrorists gained knowledge about the still operating facility.

"Reports are flying in from all over the east coast, each detailing what many are calling "a full on zombie attack". As we reported late last night, a biological warfare facility in Maryland was attacked by domestic terrorists, and a series of agents that were able to form together were released into the air. While experts were originally skepitcal of the reports of "zombie-like" behavior, they are now admitting that the link between the infected air and the sudden behavior of once normal people is too strong to avoid.
The effects of the agent, which originated from Maryland, have begun to spread out, with reports now coming in from Southern Pennsylvania, Virginia, West Virginia, New Jersey, Ohio, Delaware, Kentucky and North Carolina. All of the reports that have come in say the exact same thing: Those that have come in contact with the infected air drop to the ground and begin violently convulsing before choking on their own vomit. Within an hour the bodies will then rise from the ground and begin to move in a spastic manner as the infected search for nourishment, something that seem to never tire of looking for. While they do not move quickly, they tend to stay together in large packs and never seem to quit in their searches. As it stands, the only way to take down one of the infected is to shoot them in the head, or remove the head from the neck, severing the brain from the spine.

"In a response to the evergrowing spread of what is now being labeled as the "Agent Z Virus", the President of the United States has authorized a full military operation to handle the infection. Ground troops have already been mobilized to "Ground Zero", aka Maryland, where the heaviest concentration of the infected are. Troops that were previously overseas have been pulled out of their respective posts and are on there way to the various other temporary bases in Pennsylvania, Ohio, New Jersey, New York, Delaware and Virginia.
At this time we cannot confirm the number of infected that are currently walking the land, but it's easily in the millions. We can also confirm that the infection has begun spreading to the west, with reports coming in from as far west as Nebraska, as far North as Minnesota, and as far south as Louisina.
We can also confirm that the major cities on the East Coast (New York City, Washington D.C., Boston, Philadelphia and Baltimore) have stopped all evacuation procedures, per order of the President. While it's been a hugely controversial decision in many's minds, the thought is that the cities are full of too many infected and that the infected need to be contained. Some conspiracy theorists have speculated that the President may be planning a bombing to quell the infestation, but of course all theories have been shot down by the President's top aides.

Yesterday the President did in fact authorize the bombing of the major cities on the United States East Coast from a private bunker somewhere in the Colorado Rockies. All major cities on the East Coast have been reduced to rubble in an attempt to help eliminate the number of infected. The remaining survivors on the East Coast have begun to band together and are attempting to head west, where the infection is still in it's earliest stages.
One of those groups is made up of the roster of WCF. Led by their fully competent owner, Seth Lerch, the group is currently in Reading, Pennsylvania trying to come up with a plan to get the hell out of there.
So here's the deal guys, everyone in WCF is currently in Reading, PA trying to figure out what the hell to do. From here, you guys figure out what your characters are going to do. Are you going to take off on your own? Will you form smaller groups and try to survive? Or will you all stick together? The choice is yours.
This will be the only RP where murder is both allowed and encouraged, as you will come across zombies. There are no planes, trains or other forms of mass transit. Fuel is a limited resource at the moment, as is food (so be ready to forage after a while).
Absolutely no using other people's characters unless you have their permission (this is a biggie, don't do it). Other than that, have a blast doing this guys. It's all for fun, it doesn't count toward Slam/PPV's, so you don't have to participate, but I hope you do.
