I'm just going to pop in quick and say if the thread continues like this, there will be no need to lock it. When we start going in circles and getting pissy is when the handcuffs have to come out. So what I'm reading from this is...no golden showers?

Right, that was the last time. I'm not starting anything, by the by. Just wanted to clarify in case there was any confusion, and, being the source material, figured I could paint a picture. Ok good! lol Thats what I was trying to explain to Jared when he said it continued. cause from our end, it didnt continue, that was the end of it. Yeah, I just can't recall what the initial point was. I know it was dragged out to November or so when it was finally curbed, but it was about a month where it was a problem. Again, I'd have to dig to find out.

You're talking about how you guys quit after CD stepped in but wasn't this like the 2nd or 3rd time that he publicly asked people to stop talking about the homeless thing? If you want to get technical, then yeah after being asked publicly, your guys did stop, but that wasn't the 1st time Dion publicly made it clear that he wanted it to stop if I remember correctly.

Exactly. So Dion says to quit multiple times, it continues. CD says to quit, it stops. Howard/Jared in his initial post, which is why we're talking about this to begin with, didn't mention the part where CD stepped in. So saying you stopped when CD got involved is not what was originally being discussed and proves the point being made here about people not stopping when asked. Again, pointing to CD saying to stop is just a technicality.
Also, the part about no apology for Dion is still being ignored.

The fact was that I wanted it to stop. Since it has, I don't have any real issues.

Also, I feel I should add, the only reason I started "insulting" you through PM was because you messaged me and told me that you viewed my friends as under carders with some kind of horrible superiority complex going on. Which by the way I approached Purse about. Just putting this out there since you want everything to be out in the open This is a distortion. I can provide the chat log. What I said was that I was too busy IC to work with new guys, especially if I wasn't sure rather they'd stay or not. If I remember correctly, I probably said it in a blasé manner at first but attempted to clarify several times: you were simply more interested in insulting me at this point. I have no problem working with any noobie on an OOC basis. I'm a huge writing geek, a WCF mark, and I probably have a billion ideas I could pitch about your character. That said, I have a lot of IC offers at any given time and I will usually work with a friend or someone with a belt – this is competitive, man, and I'm playing to win. I have also never been the one being put over in a single angle I've been in, save my first story with Major Redemption; I've "gotten over" purely through results, and I'm not keen on just "putting someone over" for the sake of putting someone over when I've worked very hard to get to where I am. I usually tend to prefer RP collaboration over storyline, which allows world building. If some people chose to call me "elitist" for that, fair enough, but it's simple pragmatism in my mind. I try to balance it by being as open and available as possibles OOC. Without being involved in any of this negative talk, I will endorse Michael as a decent dude who has been very generous in working with newbies before as he did with me when I started. Trust me, I was a really bad RPer for at least my first couple months. This guy right here not only included me as an eager rook wanting to learn from those more talented, but was just overall a very chill, kind, and encouraging person towards me.

Yeah, Im not going there with you beause it will re-hash things and people will get all fired up. Bottom line is, when Dion made the OOC post about it - it stopped that day. The PM with CD was a mix of that and other things that came the next day. But to fully answer your question, ...Im not going there because this thread will probably get locked.

Let me drop a productive idea here.
I'll say this, both sides have bad tendencies imo between IC/OOC.
The solution: Nerf those IT boards. You guys DON'T need them for daily trash talk. Maybe when it's someone you're facing that week, or month, but keep it real. Many of us have had our fair share of uncool moves here, including myself. Admit that both sides here have approached things wrong in certain ways and make this pact.
Agree to tone IT activity way down. You need to develop an actual story? Talk to the people involved about the direction and be courteous. If it's not a story you're developing with someone, a match you're pushing at that current time, banter among allies, or a title/contender type deal, it's NOT something that's necessary.
I've been a dick OOC and IC. I'll say that a million and one times if someone really needs me to. I'll admit I was a bit out of line in some OOC shenanigans last night and have apologized to Seth also.
My point is, WCF is great in many ways and I wouldn't be the writer or fedhead I am now without this place and the things I've learned from both the RPers and Seth alike. You can do this, you can avoid the drama very easily. All you need to do is to unanimously agree that whether you like each other or not, you're here to keep things productive and progressive, not the other way around.
Seriously, everyone should quote this shit and agree to disagree peacefully, not another attacking word in any OOC or unnecessary OOC way. Push positivity and productiveness both OOC and IC down each other's throats to the point where it feels almost too cheesy to handle. I know for a fact that it works.

I do kinda agree with this... my only issue with it is... The Internet boards are actually really good fun when you interact with someone on there lol like I always find the Kat / Andre stuff fun (even though he probably legit hates it... but the fact he nominated it for feud of the year tells me otherwise lol). Maybe instead of having the Internet boards in the format they're currently in, we have several different thread with different interactive scenarios. Kinda like a never ending segment. Could be in the WCF cafeteria for example and the characters interact with each other

TBH:
OOC wise. I barely give a fuck about any of you, or I hate some of you or I'm really cool with you.
IC wise. It's creative competitive writing so Idgaf.
Everything wise. Fuck all of you.
