Anyone listen to these guys?
I remember listening to bits and pieces on youtube a couple years back but stumbled upon it a few weeks ago and I'm obsessed. I've got a long drive to/from work so I've been binging hard. I just finished the Montreal Screwjob episodes (something like 30 hours worth of material lol) and I started the 3 part Benoit series earlier today. It's some seriously gripping shit. Super interesting. The hosts are hilarious but also serious when they need to be. They're really well versed on the material too, you can tell they don't half ass it.
Highly recommended if you haven't checked it out already.

I had some time this afternoon and litenedto this. It was pretty entertaining and I learned alot from it, almost as much as I did from that Stone Cold /Bret Hart video last evening. I Did as Steve suggested to and looked into the Mankind/Undertaker Hell in a Cell and the original commentary from both. My education in wrestling has improved gratly since coming here, thanks guys!

It is the greatest wrestling podcast in the world. The Montreal Screwjob series they just did was epic.
I second Dune's suggestion. Listen to this fake sports podcast.
But if you have a sore ass in the morning, don't blame us.

I am finding I am liking their going over the past evnts. I heard the WM thing and I didn't like it as much but the Reminiscing about Starcade and stuff to me is great. Maybe it's the content and context?

Maybe I'll give them another shot. I tried it seven or eight years ago and found the hosts really irritating, so I tuned out. I also place a lot less value on fan podcasts nowadays when every third wrestler seems to have his own show. 7 or 8 years ago? They started when the network started? Ugh. Living the gimmick, huh? The Lapsed fan man number 1 in the ring. Forget about Cesaro they’re the real king of swing.

Maybe it's the content and context? Definitely this. They’re wwe people for sure. But they did a great job with starcade and the AWA as well

Finished the Benoit ep today, something like 11 hours split into 3 parts. Man what fucking doozy. Obviously the material was morbid as hell but it was a fascinating listen.
Moved straight into the Over the Edge 99 deep dive ep. What is wrong with me?! It's so good though. I can't believe it took me so long to find this podcast.

Still obsessed with this CAST gd, each ep is atleast 4-5 hours and I can't get enough. Running through the Starrcade Memorial Tour, finished 83 & 84, on 85 now. This was all before my fandom started so it's been pretty interesting. Come to think of it I've only seen Starrcade 97 as far as I can remember. That Sting vs Hogan match ffs such an awesome build only to end in a fucking turd of a match, then all downhill from there

There’s nothing you can do about it In the newer episodes, the past year or so, you’ll hear emails from cliff and tony From Long Island. Wolf is cliff and I’m tony. My email was the first one in the Montreal Screwjob emails.

There’s a killer story that wolf tells in the 91 survivor series. Probably best email they’ve read.

I finished up the Starrcade Memorial Tour a few days ago, each one from 83-00. 5-6 hours each putting in the work over here! What an amazing string of episodes. In depth as fuck and hilarious but that goes without saying. The most interesting imo were 97 & 98, partly because I was a huge WCW mark around that time but also because they were the most pivotal cades in terms of what was to come ie SLOW MISERABLE DEATH. How they fucked up the Sting/Hogan payoff and followup will never cease to amaze me. What a tragedy Anyway, can't recommend this podcast enough. You need it whether you know it or not. #lapsed #cadeonthecast

Almost 2 months since I hyped TLF podcast ffs! soundcloud.com/thelapsedfanPick a show, any show, one that interests you, whatever. You may hate it at first, I certainly did. I started with the deep dive into Wrestling With Shadows before the 22 HOURS of Montreal Screwjob discussion that's right 22 fucking hours and worth every second. I turned the Wrestling With Shadows cast off within 30 mins thinking it was obnoxious and a waste of time. But the next day, there I was wanting more. NEEDING more. So I picked up where I left off and I haven't looked back since. Montreal, Owen, Benoit, Starrcade Memorial Tour, and since then pretty much random 90's shows, but I STILL need it daily. And you might not know it, you might not want to admit it...but you do to. You FUCKING need it. I just started the Life and Death of the AWA run of 6 podcasts. I couldn't have cared less about the AWA before I started, but the hosts are so good - so incredibly funny and insightful - that I'm absolutely hooked. Seriously, if you are a fan of 80's, 90's, and 00's wrestling and aren't afraid of deeeeep af examinations or laughing your ass off when the hosts make light of this ridiculous business, listen to this podcast. I freeloaded for a while but I'm in so deep that I'm VOLUNTARILY giving them $10/mo. The shit is that powerful. /endrant The Life and Death of the AWA Part 1: The Wrestler Part(1974)
