Finished up the Life and Death of the AWA tour a few days ago. I didn't know shit about the AWA going in aside from it being run by Verne Gagne and seeing a few random clips of the 80's ESPN tapings. Now I'm basically a certified AWA historian thanks to the Lapsed treatment and my poor sphincter has never been so raw. The Lapsed AWAers are some of the most hilarious I've come across, Lapsed Verne especially. Such an interesting and entertaining run on that FUCKING cast. Best yet? No. It was hard to get through. Anything involving Russo is my favorite. That and anything that involves an e-mail I wrote.

It was super dark but I thought it was interesting as fuck. It's the same with the Owen and Benoit eps, they're depressing but for some reason those and Wrestling with Shadows are the only ones I've gone back and listened to again despite not being caught up with all the shows. For the record I don't think it's best ever either. My favorite is the 97 WWF run leading up to Montreal even if they did other shows in between.
Are you guys up to date?! I started out listening to random shows then did the Scarrblade Memorial Tour and Life and Death tour, then went back and started from the beginning. Up to Backlash 2000 now, ep 65. I've got plenty of #work to do and god willing when I'm done I'll never be able to walk right again

Also I've heard 2 eps where they mention efeds. The first time was a while back when I first started listening, can't remember what the ep was but it was in response to an email and the co chairs talk about how pathetic it sounds which of course it is LOL. The second one I think is Havoc 97, Jack says he had a brief stint in a fed way back and his tag team finisher was a superrana/moonsault combo or some shit because star count matters
