Ok... I read the thread talking about a member-chosen rp of the week and one-liner of the week... I LOVE the whole 'member-voted, underground, unnoficial' thing... I actually have two ideas along those lines --
- Member-voted awards each week or month, basically with awards like RP and one-liner, as stated in that thread... I think this would go over quite well.
- An underground, unnoficial, member-ran ppv/special event. I had this idea in another fed, but it never came to fruition. Basically, we would choose all the matches, either through voting, building our own angles, having our own ideas for matches, a mixture of all that or whatever... and we would choose the judges, the match writers, the theme, the venue, the main event, and if they're willing, title holders could offer to put their titles on the line, and the challengers could be voted on, or the title holder could make a challenge, or ACCEPT a challenge, etc. ... basically, it would be an unsanctioned event created by the competitors themselves. I've always had a thing for "underground" stuff, that goes against the grain, and I thought maybe this would be an idea that people would get behind. We could even vote on what to call it, and maybe it could be more than a one-off... like, bi-monthly or something. Just a thought, of course.
Now... the MAIN reason I wanted to make this thread, is cuz I had an idea...
For like, five or so years now, I've had this one-man, parody fed project called World Sports Entertainment [Slogan: "Get the Wrestling OUT!"
] ... I would write my own shows with my own characters, making fun of wrestling and pop culture in general, and would host it on various message boards so people could check it out... but for the past year or more, it's been on hiatus.
I wanna bring it back.
But, this time, I wanted to work with another fed, to run a parody of the old 'WWF/WCW/ECW inVasion' angle... There was this fed called NGiW that I was hoping to do this with, but the owner said that he and his admins couldn't agree on whether to run it or not, so I was out of luck. >.< Sooo... I figured, since I'm here, and there is an active atmosphere [they're a very creative fed, but not any more than eight or so members] ... I was hoping MAYBE I could run the angle here. I decided to post this here instead of like, pm'ing Sarah or Seth or whatever, cuz I want EVERYONE's opinion... who would be willing to actually run with this, and would all of the admin team be willing to go with it... I KNOW it's a long-shot, but I've been dying to do a parody of that angle, as well as stuff like the nWo and all that, ever since I started efedding back at the turn of the millenium...
... if I could get ANY response to this, as well as the unsanction ppv idea, I would honestly appreciate it. I'm looking at WCF as a new start for me, and an opportunity to do all the things I've never really been able to get off the ground... and that's why I'm bringing Viruz into the fed along with raYne. I haven't played as him in years, and figured I could give both of my characters a rebirth. I'm looking forward to any response these ideas may generate... hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving.
