The scene comes into view with Gravedigger’s face taking up the frame. He’s looking past the side of the camera and it quickly becomes apparent that Gravedigger is setting up a small, handheld camera. Finally satisfied that it’s set up correctly, he takes a couple of steps back and looks directly at the screen. He’s wearing a biker jacket, a Mara Salvatrucha cut and a white t-shirt underneath. He is wearing jeans as well. Gravedigger grins at the camera as he speaks.
Gravedigger
Normally, I schedule an interview with one of the interviewers or commentators of WCF or have a camera show up to a location I know where I’ll be at, but this week has been a busy week. Not because of the holidays, but just because I have had shit to do. This was recorded on Tuesday afternoon, but you’ll likely not be watching this until either Thursday night or Friday morning.
It’s just a few days away until One. I will be in my first singles match here in WCF since about May of 2010 I think. Leading up to Slam the other week, the talk was about how that was my first match since earlier this year and about all this ring rust I had. Let me ask you now, where was that ring rust? The talk, mainly from my loudmouth opponents Corey Black and Odin Balfore was how I was facing some dominant world champion. I was facing someone I hadn’t faced before. They were acting like I was some kind of joke. Once more, let’s look at what happened on Slam.
Did I lose the match? Yes. Did Adrian or myself get pinned or forced to tap out? No. We lost due to disqualification. When the smoke cleared afterwards, who was standing? Who was laid the hell out and unconscious? Last time I checked it was Corey and Odin. The big, bad, supposedly dominant world champion of WCF was knocked the hell out. I stood toe-to-toe with a man who has been dominant here in WCF and gone through two Hall of Famers. No, wait. I MORE than stood toe-to-toe with Odin Balfore. I took everything he had to throw at me and bounced back like nothing happened. I threw him around the ring and pounded away at the big bastard and was still standing afterwards, something that wasn’t really said about former world champions here in WCF and even my fellow Hall of Famers.
Odin Balfore, you have definitely not heard the last of Gravedigger or MS-13 for that matter. I will look forward to stepping into the ring with you again. I will look forward into beating the hell out of you again. I will look forward to leaving you laying on the mat again. Actually if you think about it, at Slam wasn’t the first time. Adrian left you lying weeks before that when we attacked you while masked.
Looking back it’s amusing to hear how much Corey Black built you up into this supposed monster. I’m not afraid of you. I’m not intimidated by you. I’m amused by you. I’m amused by the fear and intimidation that others have when they look at you or are in the ring with you.
But that’s enough about Corey Black and Odin Balfore. I will enjoy watching you two tear each other apart this Sunday at One. I have my own match that night. A match with Odin’s friend, Ryan Blake for my hardcore title. Aside from being Odin Balfore’s friend, exactly who the hell is this Ryan Blake? I’ll tell you who Ryan Blake is. Ryan Blake is just another victim. He’s just another notch in my belt here in WCF. He’ll be another casualty of Mara Salvatrucha. Let me clarify here though. MS-13 will not interfere in my match at One. As I pointed out to Corey the other week, I don’t have help in my title matches. If this was a regular singles match or a tag match with no belts on the line, I could care less who gets involved in my match. This Sunday, I will step into the ring with Ryan Blake. Ryan Blake, when I said you would be just another victim and acted like I don’t really know who you are, don’t mistake all this for me not caring or taking you seriously as a challenger. Don’t think I’m overlooking you. I never make that mistake.
I take each opponent seriously. No matter how good or bad I feel my chances are against someone, I always bring my ‘A’ game. I always deliver. I take every opponent seriously because I do not make mistakes. Yes, I have lost my share of matches in my career, but I do not make the mistake of not taking my opponents seriously. I don’t do that because the harder I try, the more I bring it, the more pain I can inflict. I’m not here in WCF this time around necessarily to win matches. I’m here to cause damage, wreak havoc and inflict pain upon everyone in the path of MS-13.
Here in WCF, I am a legend. I have defeated the best. I have held title after title. I have ended dreams. I have caused pain and misery for countless wrestlers. I said that I’m not necessarily here to win matches this time around, but that’s what will happen this week at One. I will destroy you in the center of the ring, in the corner, at ringside, on the ramp and on the announcer’s table. This hardcore title is mine and will stay around my waist for a long time to come. Not because I want to be the hardcore champion, but because you’re not good enough to take it away from me. When your music plays this Sunday at One, if you choose not to walk out to the ring and instead decide to cower in the back or not even show up to the arena, Seth might not be happy but I will not hold it against you. All that awaits you in the ring at One, Ryan Blake, is pain…misery…and disappointment. I am the Epitome of Hardcore and if you show up at One, I will break you.
The scene fades to black.
