The sound of a sharpened pencil hitting the blank surface of a white piece of paper. Nothing is seen but the sounds of the lead from the pencil hitting the paper echoes throughout the darkness. The repeated sounds of the forming of letters on the paper is only what one can here. The vision of the camera starts to creep around the corner like a little kid peeking around the corner of the wall playing hide and seek. Finally it shines in, the sight of a man sitting at a wooden oak desk with the culprit of the noises, the pencil in his hand. The man seems to be writing a letter of some sorts. The reason or purpose is unknown and very mysterious. The man is wielding a very formal white tuxedo with the combination of a nice black tie.
The room is very dark and dimmed. Every light in the room is dimmed and gives it a very eery sort of feeling. He continues to write and write the night away with no stopping or pausing what so ever, it is like he is a robot doing a specific task. The robotic movements from the man in interrupted very swiftly as a repeated knocking upraises from the hotel door. The man looks at the door and gets up walking calmly to the door. He turns on the light switch, brightening the entire room and opens the door to greet the guest. The door opens to reveal a very familiar face to the WCF. Hank Brown stands there in his usual clothing with nothing else in his hands but himself. Donald looks at him before replying to the awkward and sudden appearance of Mr. Brown.
Donald Deruty: Umm, Hank. What are you doing here? I thought that I was specifically told that nobody knew I would be here. How did you learn of my time here?
Hank Brown: Donald, come on, I know where every WCF superstar on the roster goes before and after Slam and or Pay Per Views. How do you think I just magically run into them for an interview?
A small smirk ran across the face of Hank before Donald replied.
Donald Deruty: Well, I guess indeed that is true. Well I am guessing through your hint, that you would like an interview?
Hank Brown: Indeed that is why I am here. Now many we get started?
Donald Deruty: Sure, come on in and take a seat. Let me just fold something up and I will be right with you.
Donald picks up the paper that he was writing on earlier and folds it up and places in a white envelope. He takes the envelope and places it in his blazer pocket before approaching Hank to start the interview.
Hank Brown: What was that?
Donald Deruty: What was what?
Hank Brown: The thing, the letter that you just put in your pocket?
Donald Deruty: Ohh that is for someone particular. So that is out of the discussion.
Hank Brown: Ok. Now first off I would like to ask you about who this Ashley Davis is? I mean she shows up one week at Slam and you two run into each other and seem to hit it off, and every Slam you two just keep on meeting up and clicking. What is that?
Donald just smiles before replying.
Donald Deruty: Well Hank, before you start throwing our questions to try and get me to spill some stuff out. We are just becoming friends of the company nothing more than that. It is very professional, there is nothing between us so we are becoming friends. She came in with literally no one that she knew on the roster, and she ran into me. I am helping her get use to the WCF.
Hank Brown: Donald, come on. We all know that you two had a little celebration after the Of the Year Awards Ceremony, in which I congratulate you on winning United States Champion and Wrestler of the Year, but really. What happened during that celebration?
Donald Deruty: I am telling you the straight up truth there is nothing going on between the two of us relationship wise, and I am pretty sure that what happens after the show is none of your business. We just went out like friends and celebrated the winning of the United States Champion and Wrestler of the Year awards, just like you directly stated to me a couple of seconds ago. Nothing personal is going on between us we are just becoming good friends...does that answer your question Hank?
Hank Brown: Well...no...but we will keep this thing rolling. Now back to the Of the Year Awards Slam. Did you honestly think that you were going to win those awards, and if so how confident were you of winning the award?
Donald Deruty: I really didnt't think about winning the awards at all. It was a really good surprise and an excellent Christmas present from the WCF. I was just not thinking about the awards the whole night, I actually don't think the thought of me winning the awards even crossed my mind with all that was going on last week. I was focused more on One and winning the One Invitational Tournament, and winning the mysterious prize for the winner. So the awards was just a shock back into reality.
Hank Brown: Indeed there was a lot going on you were attacked last week backstage by Adrian, your opponent at One in the first round of the Invitational.
Donald Deruty: Yeah, that was very surprising when he attacked me, I was not thinking anything about it. I mean we have had a small history in the past with the disagreement between the MS-13 and myself, but I didn't think it would carry on into the future at all. Although, he got the sucker punch. I still managed to fight back, and that was just a little sneak peak of what is going to happen to him at One only it wont be that pretty.
Hank Brown: Now also an event that happened at One was the appearance of Torture coming up from behind you and congratulating you for your winning of the Wrestler of the Year award. What was going through your mind when you saw him come out of the locker room and onto that entrance stage?
Donald Deruty: Hank, that was a awkward moment for sure. I have had a hell of a time beating this guy in the past, and I did finally in the middle of the year. To see him come out and almost ruin my winning of the Wrestler of the Year award was a surprise, but the even bigger surprise was when he grabbed my arm and raised in the air. That action from Torture has showed me that he has moved on from all the hell we put through each other during our feud. It showed that he was almost proud of me winning that award...although it was a very different think from that man that we know as Torture, I just don't know what to expect from him anymore. If Torture can move on from our rivalry, then I can too. I don't see a reason why to keep on nudging it on anymore.
Donald clears his throat before listening to Hank's next question.
Hank Brown: Now Donald, if you win the One Invitational. What will your next goal or achievement be to shoot for?
Donald Deruty: I am really going to be heading straight for the WCF World Championship, I am a man that has worked my ass off to get to the top. Unfortunately, when I do reach it and I lose a match I seem to be forgotten. So now I am back to square one and trying to dig and claw my way back to the top and I think that winning the One Invitational will do that for me. I am ready to leave the mid card part of the WCF and become a main eventer like I was before that one loss that seemed to erase all of my progress here to make it to the top. The only solution about it, is to start over and work my way back up.
Hank Brown: Going back to the subject about the One Invitational. There has been a couple of contestants that have already spoken out. You have in one hand Adam Young and in another you have Night Rider. What do you have to say about there different means of the match and there success about moving on?
Donald Deruty: How about I start with Adam Young. Adam, you have started with the statement that you could break everyone's bone in their bodies. Adam, if that is indeed a true fact then why don't you simply do that? I am pretty sure that could get you some wins here or in any other federation out there. Simply, I don't think that you have the stuff. You yack on about how your “The 1” and how you are going to beat everyone's asses and then some, but you have a lack of actions to back up your statements. Adam, if you really are the man that you claim yourself to be, than you will bring all you have in that bald head of yours and you will show the entire WCF Universe that you can and you will do whatever it takes to win. It simply doesn't matter what you did last year, I mean if you want to play that game then I will throw in that I am a former World Champion, Tag Team Champion, two time Television Champion, and a three time United States Champion. So if you want to talk about the past then you better be able to back it up.
Adam you also speak of yourself to be feared by all, that people piss themselves when they see you come down that ramp? Well Adam, I can promise you that I will be completely dry when I face you at One, or IF I face you at One. You as well as everyone so far has made the same mistake in this brilliance of a match. You see Adam all you have been talking about is how you are going to beat Blade, but there is much more men in the Invitational that you are forgetting about. There are seven other men in the One Invitational than just you and Blade. If you get past Blade, then what are you going to do to them? The same thing? Make themselves wet themselves? Adam, to be completely honest I am sick and tired of your bull shit. You complain about people not taking you seriously and how they are making fun of you so to speak. Adam, if you want them to shut up...then make them shut up. You have shown nothing what so ever that you can hold your own in the Wrestling Championship Federation. Adam, this is a perfect time to do it. So if you are going to do something besides moan about it then do something about it all ready.
Speaking of forgetting that there are seven other men in the match, another man has made that same mistake. A mister Night Rider I believe? I honestly don't get it, who are you trying to be? A superhero with a flaming head as a skull? Night Rider I don't know who you really are, but you seem to be focused on the past then the present and future. You are looking back to the days in which you were in the APW. Look around Night Rider, are you in the APW? I believe that answer is a big N...O. You really need to start focusing on your career here in the WCF, and not the career that you had at APW. It is time to move on, and you are not properly making those steps to make it here in the WCF. You need to forget everything you learned and what happened in APW, because to be totally honest. The WCF, is a whole different place as the APW. Nothing is even familiar between the two of the federations, and if you want to keep on living in your little shadow when you were in the APW then go ahead, but you will not make it far here.
Donald takes a hard swallow before listening to the rest of Hank's questions.
Hank Brown: Is there anything you would like to say to your opponents at One? If so then this is the time to do it.
Donald Deruty: I believe I will have that covered, just tell them all to be ready at One.
Hank Brown: Ok...have a nice day, and I will see you at One.
Hank gets up off the freshly made bed and walks over to the door where he entered. He opens the door and exits out leaving Donald to his room once more. Donald looks straight at the camera and begins to speak to it.
Donald Deruty: Not surprisingly there seems to be a couple of other newcomers from the APW that is also looking at the past. That may get you a win in a match with the rest of the men in the One Invitational, but against me it will defiantly not do. If you want to talk about the history of one and another then look up my resume, but it is quite impressive to say the least. Many of these men focusing on the past consist of Jeff Purse, Night Rider, Blade LaVigne, and Nathan von Liebert. I am just going to talk to everyone of you together considering I have the same thing to say to all of you. If you think you can just come on in and waltz all over everyone in the WCF, then you are wrong. You may have been able to do that at APW, but not here. So everyone, Jeff, Night, Blade, and Nathan. I suggest you all get your good nights rest because you will need it come the beginning of a new year at One. One was a turning point for me last year and this year will be no different. I am going to win the One Invitational and claim the championship that should be around my waist. So I say good luck to you all because you will indeed need it.
Next, we have the man known as Joel Hall...or El Mideo Extremo who ever he is. Now Joel, I have some respect for you about returning. I thought that you were an interesting newcomer as Extremo, but I think you are over your head a little bit. You are going to be facing off against one of the most successful men here in the WCF, if you make it that far. As well as facing some of the newcomers like yourself, and some veterans like Adrian...and Adam Young, a man that I haven't even grazed the surface on knowing what he is all about or even is. You claim that you are an extreme man, well lets see what you have at One. Like Adam, you need to prove your words correct and not just make the statements about what you can and can't do. I think you are going to be another phony that can talk the talk, but can't walk the walk. For your sake I hope that you prove me wrong this week.
Finally we have the man that I will be facing against in the first round of the One Invitational, Adrian. You see Adrian, I don't know what to think about you anymore. You first came into the WCF about a year ago to help me and your fellow MS-13 member Hector Rodriguez out. I had a little problem about you doing all of these actions such as interfering, and fighting the man out on the apron while the other was in the ring. Adrian you have played dirty all of your WCF career, you have either been the back up for someone or you have had the backup. Adrian, it will only be me and you at One. No one else will be there in that ring besides the official referee. I am out for revenge, I am out for that brutal attack that you placed upon me last week at the Of the Year Awards Slam. I am ready to take you out at One, and the rage only grows stronger and stronger as the time gets closer and closer to One. Adrian, I have only one piece of advice to give you before One. You better be ready for anything, especially the biggest beating that you have ever endured. Once I beat you, I will go on to win the One Invitational later that night. Nothing and no one will stop me to get to my newest goal here in the WCF, and that is to win the WCF World Championship once more.
Donald walks out the door of his hotel room, and the camera follows him down the hallway towards the elevators. It enters the elevators as it drops to the lobby floor of the hotel. Donald continues to walk and ascends down the lobby to the front entrance of the hotel he walks out and goes straight to a mail box by. He reaches in his blazer pocket and pulls out the envelope that he sealed before Hank interrupted him. He pulls open the outgoing mail slot and places the envelope in the mail slot. He turns around and dissapears from the view of the camera. It goes black.
It fades back to the sight of a mail room with the sight of that envelope half opened. Hands are seen move into the picture and pulls out the rest of the letter. It opens it and seems to hold it up to the camera so it is about to be read.
The scene ends with the hands laying down the paper and it goes completely black.
The room is very dark and dimmed. Every light in the room is dimmed and gives it a very eery sort of feeling. He continues to write and write the night away with no stopping or pausing what so ever, it is like he is a robot doing a specific task.
