The sound of silence just fill the air as a certain tension is felt. Darkness fills the view as everything seems calm, but it an eery way. The sound of foot steps begin to be heard as the view begins to slowly fade in. A sight of a man standing in front of a fireplace with a shelf right above the fireplace. Nothing else can be seen because of the such high zoom the camera is in. On top of the shelf there is a picture that is very carefully placed on the shelf surrounded by a black picture frame. In the elegant picture frame there is a black and white picture of a man standing in front of a screen wearing a Army uniform. The man standing in front of the picture is Donald Deruty. It shows the sight of Donald with a look of respect on his face at the man in the picture. The sight of Donald and the picture looking at each other fades away very slowly.
(The sight of men standing in a straight line with the Sargent looking around them walking with his arms around his back. The sight of moving water behind them shows that they are on a boat, and a part of the navy. Every single cadet stands strong with confidence and pride. He studies every cadets face before he stops right in front of the middle of the cadets and begins to open his mouth to speak to the cadets.)
Sargent: Now, everyone you have been training very hard. I know I have seen you all work your asses off and blossom into great soldiers. Everyone you are released to your quarters, remember to return here in 200.
Every one of the cadets start to walk off as the Sargent walks to the other side of the giant ship. The Sargent is met with a man wearing another uniform similar to the Sargent and with the same rank as the Sargent. The two men look at each other with honor before saluting each other and speaking.
Sargent #2: Sargent Deruty, it is almost time to head home. I cant wait to get home.
Sargent Deruty: Now, Jones. We still have a couple of weeks ahead of us before that time comes to head home to our families. Now I am excited to head home as well, but we still have work to do here until that time comes.
Sargent Jones: Sir, how are you not very excited about going home? I mean you have a son that is coming into the world soon. You must be excited to go home and see that happen.
Sargent Deruty: Indeed I am Mr. Jones. Well that is one thing that keeps me going here, knowing that I will have a little bundle of joy to meet me when I come home.
The two look at each other before speaking again.
Sargent Jones: Damn, I wish my life was like yours. You actually earned your way into this position, and you have a kid coming with a wife. I don't have anything besides an empty house with no one to go home too.
Sargent Deruty: Everyone earns this badge and this uniform Jones. You don't listen to anyone that tells your different. Also, why do you put yourself down like that? You will find that special someone, they will come to you or you will find them yourself. Remember that you will find the greatest things in the most unusual of places. You just keep living life like you want, that time will come in your life as well.
Sargent Jones smiles and nods at Sargent Deruty. The then begin to walk to the steps in which there rooms are. The two ascend down the steps to their corridors. They both enter Sargent Deruty's corridor as they continue to speak to one and another.
Sargent Jones: Sargent Deruty, I have known you for a long time, and I don't know much about you. So what has your life been like?
Sargent Deruty: Well, I was born in a small town in Illinois. I was went to college as a history major at Illinois University. While I studied the history of battle and battle formations I was fascinated at what the men had to go through during and after the wars and terrible conflicts so I joined the army. Although I have had much success there on the land, I was re assigned to the navy and this is where I had to build myself up from a normal cadet to a Sargent in the present. In that time, I went back home about 2 years or so ago, and found a beautiful women that I married. During our honeymoon, I received a call that I was needed over seas to train a new group of cadets. They allowed me to finish my honeymoon, and I was off back to the boat. While I have been here I received a letter from my dearly beloved wife. She said in that letter that she would be giving birth to a loving baby boy. I almost had a heart attack about the subject. Not knowing if I was going to be there when he takes his first breath in the real world. Or watch him say his first words or his first steps, but some part in side of me still was thinking if I was really ready to become a father just yet.
I am only in my late 20s and was having so much success over here on the ship, that I was worried that I would become a full time trainer and would be away from my family most of the years. As of know I have learned that this is only a temporary schedule and I would be heading back home for a couple of years to watch my new family grow and mature. And here I am training cadets to become soldiers like the many brave men we have defending our country. That is my story on how I have become a Sargent in this world of the navy.
Sargent Jones: Wow, I was just a kid born in...
Sargent Jones was interrupted by the sound of a random engine flying past the ship they are on. The ship shook the entire ship causing the two Sarges to fly to the opposite side of the corridor hitting there heads on the metal. They get up immediately almost ignoring the pain like they never hit their heads. They sling the metal door open and race up the stairs to the top of the ship. They reach the deck and look up in the air as it seems like it is in slow motion. Hundreds of plains fly over the ships, the water that surrounds them is flowing like a hurricane was occurring. The two men have a look of fear and adrenaline on their faces. They turn around to look at the other ships. The ships are engulfed in flames, the sight of men on the ships burning from head to toe just is a sickening sight. Many of the men jump from the ship to the shark infested waters to just escape the flames.
The two men look at each other after witnessing the horrible sight and smells of burning flesh. They are just frozen in their tracks watching the bombings. Sargent Deruty snaps out of it and runs to drop the light boats and everything for an attack. He first goes down the steps back towards the corridors to warn his cadets. He makes to the second step to the top before he is stopped by his cadets. Everyone seems to see life flash right in front of their eyes.
Sargent Deruty, and his group of cadets reach the life boats and they drop them into the water below them. Sargent Jones is still in shock from the different bombings and the burning of the other naval bases. The cadets get into the life boats with Sargent Deruty still on the deck. He looks around searching for Sargent Jones. He finds him still in the same position he was in with Sargent Deruty besides him. Deruty runs over to him and grabs his arm pulling him towards the life boats, but Jones doesn't budge at all. It is like he is trying to stay and get hit with the bombs falling from the sky. A single bomb seems to drop right on top of them. Deruty tries to pull him off the ship once again. Jones then yells at Deruty.
Sargent Jones: GO!!! GET OUT OF HERE! You have a family and friends, I have nothing. So go, leave and visit them. All I have is the Navy and I am going to go down in the line of service and die with my regiment.
Deruty looks up and runs towards the life boats that have already left the ship. He jumps off the ship just before the bomb hits almost directly on top of Sargent Jones's head. Blood and flesh go all over the ship. The force of the bomb throws Deruty forward and hits the water hard. Everything around them including the boats catch fire, the heat is so extreme that they almost burn instantly. Deruty landed head first into the water. He flouts to the top of the water with his entire back scorched from the massive flames of the bombings. Everyone around the ships seem to just lie there flouting in the water while few lucky men walk another day. The camera zooms out of the view to a birds eye view of the destruction that just occurred. It turns black.
(The sight of the many people weeping from the lost of their loved ones. The thought of thousands of innocent men dying just hits you like a ton of bricks. The sight turns from the family of the victims to back to darkness.)
The lights seem to just come back on and shows Donald still standing in front of his fireplace, with the picture still up on the shelf looking straight at him. Deruty picks up the picture and dusts it off before placing it back on the shelf for safe keeping. He turns around looking back at the camera before speaking about the event that just occurred 70 years ago.
Donald Deruty: That man in that picture that sits above my fireplace is my grandfather a man that was killed during the attacking of the Japanese bombers, known as the attack of Pearl Harbor. I keep that picture of a reminder of a great man I wasn't blessed enough to meet him in person. About three months after the Pearl Harbor attacks my father was born, not knowing who his dad was. Only hearing about what a great and honorable man he was from stories from my grandmother.
From the stories I have heard from the grandmother is that he was a great man that was very educated. Even though, they only were married to each other for such a short time. She knew that she would never find anyone quite like my grandfather. I hear of stories about him, about how he saved people every day when he was in the army and how he joined the navy for another way to serve his country. Although I never knew the man, I feel like I know him all too well.
Donald walks away from the camera and moves to another part of the room before speaking once again.
Donald Deruty: My grandfather and almost everyone else in my family has passed away with success of protecting and serving their country. They have made history and I am going to make history here in the WCF. I am going to make history in the WCF just like my ancestors did serving in the military. I am going to do what ever it takes to make history in the WCF. I have made it to the top once, but I am back in the middle. It is time for my name to be at the top of the ladder again. I am ready to take that WCF World Championship where it rightfully deserves to be, around my waist. First I need to prove myself once again, so this week I am going to beat the former WCF World Champion this week with my partner Kaylyn.
Speaking of Kaylyn, a woman that has really shown that she could kick ass in this company. She can for sure hold her own in any kind of match if not beat half of the roster here. Kaylyn, I hope that nothing from what Ashley did last week will change anything between us this week in our match. I don't want a little thought that I would be trying to screw us of a win. You know that I go for the win and only the win. Why would I want to fuck myself over? Kaylyn, you have nothing to be feared about me trying to hurt you in anyway possible during out match this week. I can trust you that you wont do anything, I can only hope that you will think the same thing.
Next we have our opponents the New Confederacy. Once again like before you have the man who holds up the other. Just like before you had Reb keeping Doc up to the top carrying The Confederacy. I mean from the time that they have separated and then joined back again, the only one of that two that has been successful in the single division is Reb. Doc has not been doing anything since then besides fighting his former partner. The only single championship he has ever held is the Television Championship. I mean these two sure makes a good team, but with all of the conflict that has been happening between those two I don't think they will be on the same page.
Donald wipes his mouth off before speaking once again.
Donald Deruty: Johnny Reb, a former stable partner. The man that I brought back back to the WCF is going to be on the other side of the ring against me. Reb, I have had a lot of respect for you that is why I asked you to join my cause and return to the WCF. You have been a man that has won multiple championships and have had many accomplishments here in the WCF. We both are future WCF Hall of Famers. Reb, I have faced you many times before. I have unfortunately come out a little short. I have changed as you know. I have won the WCF World Championship and also held the WCF Tag Team Championships by myself. I am ready for anything you throw at me Reb. I am not messing around at all. I am aiming for the very top and if that means that I must go through the man that I have the most respect for here in the WCF, then I shall do it. Reb we are both WCF World Championship contenders, and I hope that we both have the chance to fight for that WCF Championship or even to see who is allowed the spot to face the champion. Reb, you must remember one thing. Anything that is done in that ring is something just to get the win and nothing personal.
Next, I have the man who things he is that hot shit Doc Henry. This man is the biggest hypocrite you will ever meet. He talks about how I have done nothing since I have beaten Torture, umm Doc. Have you been asleep or something? I have captured the WCF World Championship two weeks after I beat Torture, I have also captured and held the WCF Tag Team Championships by myself for a number of weeks. The only reason my reign ended was because of a man by the name of Logan. Who literally lost the match for me. So Doc, what have you been doing the last couple of months? Sitting at the bottom of the food chain. You have done nothing besides bitch about how you can make it in the single division. Well Doc, what proof do you have that you can? I mean you haven't held a WCF Championship close to a year or so. I mean you are the one saying that I haven't done anything? Why don't you look at yourself. Doc, we have had numerous matches in the ring together. You seems to come out on top, but that was before I have grown to my full potential. I was merely just a beginner back when I fought for the Television Championship. Doc, some may say that me and you are bitter rivals and I am not going to deny that statement, because I really do despise you. Doc, in that ring tonight I am going to teach you who not to mess with. I am going to give you a little taste of what respect is, also I am going to show you what it takes to make it to the top...a place where you have never been.
