* The scene opens to Hank Brown sitting in a chair for a candid sit down interview with Odin Balfore to discuss this weeks match and the following weeks heavy event schedule. The two men sit no more then three feet apart from each other with a potted plant on the table between them where they each have a glass of water sitting. Hank gets the signal as the interview is ready to begin. *
Hank: Odin, two time world champion. One would think its only a matter of time but still stand in awe over it. You’ve certainly had your share of detractors over the past few months an even still they doubt you yet here you are. This week in-particular you are defending your title against Lawnmower Jones in what WCF is calling its most beloved yet hated against The force known as Odin Balfore, what are your thoughts?
Odin: The Force, oh yes, the force. The Force known as Odin Balfore. That’s the way the papers spin it. “ the man can’t be stopped” The Force in WCF for six months has stood atop it for nearly as long an none have been able to take his place. WCF stares The force in the face an denies it. They refuse it because they just don’t want to believe. Truthfully The force doesn’t care because WCF weather they want to admit it or not has made Odin Balfore into the single greatest thing ever in WCF. You gotta think, is that a tag line or is that slated truth?
Hank: That depends who you’re talking to.
Odin: I guess it would, now wouldn’t it. I’m starting to believe that its all slated fact, I mean, how can it not? Week after week Seth has tried to take the title away from me yet I keep on beating him at the pass. Seth’s all out of options an we both know he doesn’t want me going into Aftermath as the WCF champion; he rather see me walk up hill both ways before he lets that happen again. The funny thing about it is, he’s not letting it; I’m making it. Yet through it all, he’s so determined its almost sad. So this week he puts Jones against for the title to take all the clout away from me even though Jones has no business being in the ring with me because he’s never been a top guy and the fact that the last time we met I put him through a table.
This match as far as I see it is only to make me look that much better because everything Seth puts in my way, I move. I’m sure Jones thinks that this might be his chance to get even for the table or Logan or even Seth but all this is, is my opportunity to put the close the lid on the coffin before I drive the final nail in next week at that Super Show.
Hank: Speaking of that, lets talk about that for a moment. You and Ryan Blake with a partner from Ryan Blake’s company verse Jay Price, CD and Seth. Even though I don’t know who this other guy is, I think his name is Neptune, I’m sure this is an anticipated match up because you finally get your hands on Seth in a match this time.
Odin: You know it. I’d like to call that my gift to me from me. Really, everyone can start thanking me now for rescuing WCF from Seth an his circle of friends and so called “ deservers”, these “ hall of famers “ that stand next to me an by comparison have done nothing.
Hank: Nothing? Odin Even I know that your way off base with that one.
Odin: Absolutely not! No one in WCF history has done more in the same span of time that I have. After this week, after next week there will be a new breed of WCF superstar an that’s just going to be known as The Force. The Force that Jones will soon find out about one on one and how theres none more awsome in that ring then me be it past or present. The force thats going to put Jones out of action all because Seth has gotten on my last nerve and the force thats going to continue to shake up WCF for better or worse.
Hank: The what?
Odin: that’s what I’m being branded as, The force; so lets run with that even more. You have Prices Kids, the stars, the vets, the HOF’ers, the legends and then you have The Force. The guys that even the most talented an accomplished legends wish to be.
Hank: That’s saying an awful lot considering all the talent that’s come and gone.
Odin: Exactly, they’ve gone an I know one day, I will too but before I do I’m going to make damn sure that Odin Balfore is known as the greatest wrestler in WCF period. November will just be known as Odin Balfore month because that’s the month that I won back my title, successfully defended it twice and crushed not one but two WCF legends AND the owner in the process.
Hank: Lets not go counting your chickens before they hatch there. Lets get back too the topic at hand. Lawnmower Jones. He’s an accomplished and respected part of WCF an he is your opponent THIS WEEK on Slam!
Odin: Listen, Jones is going to walk into the ring an think its different from last time. It’s not. My title’s on the line, my status is on the line and the fact that this is all going to go up Seth’s ass is on the line. Where does Jones think he’s going to gain the upper hand? Is he going to out perform me; impossible. Is he going to get mad and do what Reb thought he was going to do? Or will be just be hungry and focused on shutting me up once and for all?
Hank: All of the above.
Odin: Well none of that’s going to matter because he’s up against too great of odds. Its bad enough that Seth’s sending him into the lions den to get slaughtered. This week on Slam is just another poor sap, like all the other poor saps that feel to me because they don’t have what it takes to beat me. Jones is going to step into the ring one on one with me for my title an wish that he hadn’t. Odin Balfore is too much for him an Seth knows it yet he blindly sends Jones in anyway because he’s grasping at straws over all this. So Jones comes into this match thinking that maybe he’s going to change everything where Logan, Reb and Seth himself sought to but couldn’t is the icing on the cake when he looks into my eyes as I have him by the throat, ready to pick him up and break his back over my knee an he sees that I simply do not care. His safety is irrelevant to my cause as I’m sure safety is irrelevant to his but here we have that’s been a cronies for WCF for so long an yet hasn’t got that brass ring up against me an to think that this is the turning point of his career with a push is simply absurd. Jones has done nothing but lick the boots of WCF brass as far s I’m concerned, he brings no real contributing factors to WCF as far as I’m concerned as he has zero marketability to boot. He can only ride that tractor gimmick for so long before he runs out of things to do with it. Jones better just face it, he’s a jobber, a stone cold jobber. He’s a warm up for my match against Seth next week. We’re going to meet in that ring an I’m going to put him away like I did last time. Be it power bomb or Ragnarok, Odin Balfore will be retaining his WCF title an Jones will be forced to do what he always wanted to do: Go work in the lawn care department of home depot an I will go on to become the greatest thing that WCF has ever seen. So I have spoken, so it shall come to pass.
