Halloween Night
Reading, Pennsylvania
600 Greenwich Street
9:42 P.M.
~._-*You have been grabbed from your reality and thrown in the small quaint neighborhood of Reading, Pennsylvania. The street lights are bright. Bright enough to cast off shadows. With people walking past, the shadows begin to shift. The area is chilly. There had been snow. Now, the only thing that is left, from the wrath of Mother Nature, is the chill in the night air. Perfect time. A terrific night to cause some havoc and mayhem. You are hiding, as You watch numerous people walking the sidewalks, going from one house to another. Children gathering, with their cute little pumpkin buckets out, hoping to get their grubby little hands on some tasty treats. The parents stay close. They always know.... YOU NEVER KNOW WHAT COULD HAPPEN ON A CHILLY NIGHT LIKE THIS..... Especially, on a night..... LIKE THIS. One skeleton. Spongebob Squarepants. A pumpkin. Ghouls, goblins, and ghosts... OH MY!! They are all out tonight. Cute imaginative costumes. The Halloween atmosphere has been celebrated tonight. The houses had been well decorated. The parents continue to look around. A parent makes a small comment to her child....*-_.~
A Woman: Chrissy, I think it's time we go home. We've been walking enough. You have two full buckets. So, let's go home and look through your candy. You can have just one piece before bedtime. But, daddy and I will look for the bad candy and you can have some more after school.
Chrissy: Okay, mommy.
~._-*Chrissy and her mom begin to walk away and head home. So, does the rest of the candy gatherers. Some teenagers run past, being annoying by screaming, yelling, and being obnoxious. After a few minutes, more teenagers run past, throwing eggs at each other. A few eggs were being dropped, on the sidewalks, in the process. As the group of kids and parents continue their trek home, some of the children notice wet toilet tissue on trees. The parents comment about the dried broken eggs on the street signs. A white picket fence is laced with wet toilet tissue. A small Freddy Krueger runs past the small group....*-_.~
Small Freddy Krueger: How sweet fresh meat!
Mother: Oh, how cute!
~._-*The small Freddy Krueger runs away. More Ghosts and goblins run past, giggling with some candy falling out of their buckets. A miniature Jason Voorhees runs past, but stops turns around very slowly. The blood stained and battered hockey mask just stares at you. He raises a blood stained machete and just chuckles, before running away laughing. One of the mothers comments....*-_.~
Another mother: Wow, THAT kid was creepy!
Mother: Yea, Halloween has always been real creepy for me. Always has been. Maybe too many scary movies.
Another mother: Yea, that has always been my problem too. Too many scary movies. Too many weird people get bad ideas from those movies.
~._-*The group of women and their children stop...*-_.~
Another mother: Well, ladies. This is our stop. This was fun. See you all later. You all be safe. Okay?
Mother: Okay, we will. You have a good night. Bye.
Another mother: Okay, bye.
~._-*The one mother walks her small child into their home, as some other mothers walk into their homes. Which leaves just one mother and her child. A whisk cold breeze blows through. Some evident snow residue is seen on some automobiles windshields.*-_.~
~._-*As the mother and Chrissy, continue walking a few blocks away, from their home, the shifting shadows creep in a little closer to the child and the tired and unaware mother.*-_.~
~._-*Chrissy yawns, as she begins to show fatigue. The six year old looks up at her mother, hoping her mom would pick her up and carry her home.*-_.~
Chrissy(scared): Mommy?! What was that noise?!
Woman: It was just the wind.
~._-*Was the mother ever wrong.*-_.~
Chrissy(scared): MOMMY!!!
~._-*The shadows bolt past, grabbing the small child's candy bag.*-_.~
Chrissy(scared): MO-O-OMMY-Y-Y-YY!!!
~._-*Just like that, Chrissy disappears. The only thing that is left, is the pink snow cap. The mother begins to freak out....*-_.~
Mother: CHRISSY!!! CHRISSY!! OH MY GOD!!!
~._-*Some people walk up to the crying woman....*-_.~
Woman #3: Ma'am?! Is everything okay?!
Mother: Something took my baby. My six year old daughter. We were walking home, from trick or treating and this black shadow came zipping on past and grabbed Chrissy's candy bag. Then a few seconds later, a second black blur came by and snatched up my baby!! CHRISSY!!! CHRI-I-I-I-ISSYY-Y-Y!!!
~._-*Another person walks up.*-_.~
Man: Excuse me, what's going on?!
Woman #3: Someone took this woman's child.
Man: Okay, let's work together and try to find her.
Mother(sighs): Okay.
~._-*The small group of adults go off, in search of the missing child, Chrissy. The mother's heart is in her throat, as she panics, while searching. A parent's worst nightmare has come true.... A MISSING CHILD. The epidemic continues. Some children, along with some teens runs past, laughing and having fun. Their Halloween night continues. The creepy spirit of Halloween rolls on, while most of the people call it for a night. The small group of concerned parents continue their search. Let's hope this case, doesn't end like the rest of the recent news of missing children. Pray. Pray!*-_.~
Mother(sighs): CHRISSY!!
Woman #3: CHRISSY!!
Man:CHRISSY!!!
~._-*Off, in the distance, the group hears a small noise. The most joyous noise, in the evening. For a parent, the best noise.....*-_.~
Chrissy: mommy.
Mother: Oh my God!
Woman #3: What?!
Mother: Did you guys hear that?!
Man: Hear what?
~._-*They continue walking, searching for what the mother THOUGHT she heard.*-_.~
Man: What are we looking for now?
Chrissy: mommy.
Mother: There's it again! CHRISSY!!
Woman #3: I heard it, that time!!
Man: So, did I!!
Mother(sighs): CHRISSY!!
Woman #3: CHRISSY!!
Man:CHRISSY!!!
~._-*The further they continue walking, the louder the voice, of the little girl, gets.*-_.~
Mother(sighs): CHRISSY!!
Chrissy: Mommy!!
Man: She is down here!!
Mother(sighs): CHRISSY!!
Chrissy: Mommy!!
Woman #3: I think I can see her!
`._-*The group decides to bolt off, running towards where they think they can see Chrissy. Within a few minutes they reach where Chrissy is at, in her pink and fuzzy parka, hanging from a tree, crying hysterically.....*-_.!
Mother(sighs): CHRISSY!! My baby!!
~._-*The small group have found Chrissy. The Man says his goodbyes, then checks to see if Chrissy is okay, then walks away. The third woman does the same, before leaving. The mother looks at her precious child, examining her from head to feet....*-_
Mother(sighs): Are you okay?
Chrissy: Mommy, I was so-o-o scared. They had r-r-red eyes and th-they ha-had sharp teef. They looked like monsters!!
Mother: Who are..... THEY, sweetie?
~._-*The mother pulls down the white fuzzy trimmed hood, of the parka coat and looked at the face of Chrissy. The child's face is white, with dark circles under her eyes. The child's eyes have a milky film across them. The iris, of the child's eyes are no longer blue, they are now a golden color and the pupil is now a sliver of blackness.*-_.~
Mother: Chrissy?!
~._-*The small child begin to nod out.*-_.~
Mother: Chrissy?! Chrissy?! Who are THEY, honey?!
~._-*Chrissy just points. Points behind her mother, with a blank look in her face....*-_.~
Chrissy: THEM!!
~._-*The mother's face turns pale white, as she slowly turns around. With a look of fear, across the mother's face, she looks up and sees The Monster Oblivion, IT's Pet with camera and the rest of IT's children.*-_.~
Oblivion: We need to talk about your daughter's future....
~._-*Oblivion large meaty black gloved hand covers the camera's lens.....*-_.~
