Complete and utter darkness is all that is seen in the sight of the camera. The sound of a car engine seems to just head straight towards the camera like it was attempting to run over the cameraman and everything else in its path. Louder and louder the engine gets, not letting up at all. Its getting so close it almost echos through out with nothing else to be heard. It sounds like it is right on top of the camera...and the view of a casino pops in like it was cued into the view by the sound of the rearing engine. Bright lights are flashing from left to right, almost blinded by the lights, but they are so magnificent that you can only stand in ahh and disbelief.
The sight of a 3 story building with so many bright lights that are unable to be counted. Although the lights are elegant and mind blowing, there is one giant light that stands out above all the other. It stands almost the size of 1 whole story of the building. An excellent of gold shines in the words of “The Guilliano” a hotel and casino complex. A place where people can get drunk and gamble as well as sleep and do the same thing the very next day. The camera moves to the inside of the casino as a bright red carpet just greets you as you immediately open the door. The inside of the building itself is very bright, the room is a goldish paper with Italian art on every square inch of the walls.
The camera just doesn't believe the beauty and elegance of the building. Tens to hundreds of poker tables sit on the carpet of the establishment. Every single table to practically full with still many people just walking around at the slots. A certain sight of a man shocks the camera as it zooms in on a formally dressed man wearing a white tuxedo, as well as men around him at one of the poker tables. The man in the white tuxedo is quickly identified as Donald Deruty. Closer and closer the camera gets to get a good view of the man and his friends speaking to one and another.
Donald Deruty: Well how has everything been going for you two?
Marcus Moneybanks: Well, you know that since the last time you were over, Max was born, and well since then I have gotten married. It was a small wedding, everyone was trying to know where and when to go to try and get dirt on me since I am the owner of one of the biggest cigar companies in England. Well you two knew that already, but anyways everything has been going fine, the wife and kid are doing very good so no worries at all. What about you Steven? I haven't seen or heard anything from you in a while.
Steven: Well, I haven't had as much fun as you two, I have just been trying to live life to the fullest. I think that you two have had more successful and interesting lives than I will ever have. All I have done is become a cameraman for the WCF, and then I was fired. Nothing else, have happened. Well I guess you could call getting an apartment interesting...
Marcus Moneybanks: You don't have a job at all?
Steven: That is a negative sir, I have been searching, but unfortunately no luck on the search yet.
Marcus Moneybanks: Steven, I could give you a job. I have a local factory that I could pull some strings to get you a job there no problem at all. If you would take a job from a friend?
Steven: Of course!
Marcus Moneybanks: Well, hey lets head on ever now. Lets get this application started, we will see yeah Donald, I will take him off your hands. He will just ride with me, I will drop him off at his place.
Donald Deruty: Ok see you guys later.
Marcus and Steven both exit the table and walk to the glass door in the front of the casino as they leave. Donald is left all alone at the table, he stays and a couple of gentlemen join him at the table as the dealer hands them their chips and they start to play a nice friendly game of Texas Hold'em. They continue to play a couple of hands with them exchanging chips after hand and hand. After a while Donald gets up taking his winnings and heads to the glass door that is the exit of “The Guilliano”. A man walks into the casino before Donald can exit. The man that entered the casino is the WCF interviewer Hank Brown. Hank stops Donald before he can leave the casino. He grabs Donald before he leaves “The Guilliano”.
Hank Brown: Donald, just the man I wanted to talk to. Actually I need to talk to you to be honest.
Do you have the time?
Donald Deruty: Absolutely, so what you need?
Hank Brown: What do you think, a interview of course. We are going to need to move to somewhere else, we cant do one right in the middle of the casino. How about we move to the local restaurant?
Donald Deruty: Indeed, that would be perfectly fine with me shall we?
Hank Brown: Indeed we shall.
The two men move to the left the casino and up the steps that are covered with the red carpet. At the top of the stairs is a fancy Italian restaurant, the two men move to one of the booths and sit and do the interview like they would usually do at a Starbucks. Hank begins the interview by starting with the first question.
Hank Brown: Now Donald, I know that you are pretty excited about this years War. What part of the War match gets your blood boiling the most?
Donald Deruty: Well, Hank I don't know if I would call it quite like that. I think that the part of War that really gets me going is the thought of every single superstar in the WCF will be in one ring, maybe even at the same time. It is quite possibly the biggest and most exciting match that the WCF has to offer. Even though there has been some quite top notch matches in the WCF before, I think that War just has a way of totally taking over that spot of the best match of the whole year. So many legends have won War, even some haven't won War. It is the ultimate achievement for any WCF wrestler. Any man that has a chance to win this match or even just be in it than you should be honored to just be able to be in such a big event.
Hank Brown: Indeed, it is a big thing in the WCF to be in the War match. Now I know that you have been included in two of these memorable matches, so this will be your third War match of your career. Now in saying that, do you think that you will be in anymore War matches in your career here in the WCF?
Donald Deruty: Well as you know Hank I do love being in the WCF. Although I do not know how much longer I will be in the WCF, I know I will not leave anytime soon, but as well as I don't know if it will be another year. Another whole year in the WCF, that is indeed a long time to be in such a federation. I have been in so many different War matches, although I have not had much success in the past in the War matches, I have a feeling that this year will indeed be my year to win and have my name written in the history books of the WCF as the winner of the War X match. Although it will not be easy with so much competition that will also be entering that ring come Monday night.
There are so many men that has so many different wrestling styles that you will have to be ready for anything to happen to even survive this match. I mean you have the high fliers like Jay Williams and Roy Speede, from the monsters of the WCF like Oblivion and Odin Balfore. You also have the technical wrestlers like Jake Keeton as well as half the roster. Then we have the veterans of the WCF. People like Brad Kane and Logan. This is such a big match that no body can guess what can happen and who will even be the winner of the match. People has gone to such great high heights to win this match, some have even put their career and life's on the line to even be a part of War.
Donald adjusts his vest under is white sports coat.
Hank Brown: Speaking of people giving everything they have into this match, what do you call the limit of this match? How far are you willing to go to win this match?
Donald Deruty: Well Hank, to be totally honest. I will do anything to win this match come Monday night at War, as well as I think everyone else in the match will do the same. It has so many things that can make or break a superstar in the WCF. I mean this year could possibly be the one that could change someones career around. I mean not only this year if you win do you get a chance at the WCF World Championship, he/or she wins the World Championship the second they have their hand raised in victory by the WCF official.
Also this is the match that will be the very first one since the break for the WCF that they had a couple of months ago. This match starts from scratch, no body knows how someone is going to react to a certain move, or even to a certain elimination. I mean nobody has faced each other in a WCF ring for at least 3 months. This match could put anybody on top, I mean this match could even be won by a wrestler that doesn't even deserve to win the match. I mean some of the top competitors could be eliminated as the last man to enter the ring could quickly eliminate the other man in the ring. There are so many different things that could happen in this match on Monday. It just gives me such a rush thinking about how it will end. I know why we sell out every since WCF War Pay Per View for the past couple of years.
Hank Brown: Indeed, the War matches has had quite an outcome that we have had multiple times that the War matches have been sold out in a matter of days. Who do you think has the biggest advantage in this match come Monday?
Donald Deruty: Well, to be honest Hank. I think that no one has a better chance in this match to be able to win. I mean sure experience in a past War match could be key for sure. I do know that many people that haven't ever been in a War match will have a slight disadvantage, they don't know what kind of match they are getting into. This match, is nothing like they have ever experienced before. This match is bigger than any ones career, this match is too big than anyone's life. Too many people that are in the WCF now don't know what they are getting into.
Hank Brown: Now some of the men that you are applying don't know what they are getting into, they have been pretty confident about this match, they think that they will defiantly win the match as soon as they enter the ring. What do you think about all of these people's trash talk about how and why they are going to win?
Donald Deruty: Well Hank, all I can really do is laugh at the words coming out of their mouths. I mean some of them like Roy Speede believe that everything that has happened in the past of people's careers mean nothing in this match. Well I hate to disappoint you Roy, but you are wrong. I mean being in this match before does make a big difference than if you haven't. The very first time I was in a War match, I did absolutely terrible, because I went into this match thinking that it is going to be just another battle royal only with bigger rewards if you win. I was totally wrong 100%. That match wasn't just a battle royal, it was more than that. It is defiantly more than that. I don't know how to explain it but it seemed that so many people became success hungry, so many men changed in that ring at War. You don't know what you are getting into Roy, you have no idea.
Hank Brown: Now keeping on the subject of Roy, what do you have to say about his words about you and your past achievements here in the WCF?
Donald Deruty: Well Hank, I really don't know what to say. I mean I thought that Roy respected be and I respected him, but obviously after seeing his words about my success here in the WCF. That isn't the case at all. I mean, he says that it isn't unbelievable that I won the World Championship against Jay Williams, he says that he is the better man because “he” beaten me for the WCF Tag Team Championships when Logan, my partner, was the one that was pinned in the middle of the ring. Not me! Ohh no, I wasn't pinned just my partner was. Why does that give him the right to think that he is better than me? I mean I believe that I have made history in my past here in the WCF, I did the unthinkable, I defeated the man who was never pinned...never tapped out. I was the first ever WCF superstar to defeat Torture. What have you done Roy? Besides win a couple of Tag Team Championships?
Also another thing that he spoke about was that he defeated by former alliance members Jay Williams and Johnny Reb for the Tag Team Championships. Sure I will give him one thing that he did defeat them for the WCF Tag Team Championships. I mean Roy, you are talking about how the history of someones career doesn't matter in this match, well you are the one that is talking about everyone's past in the WCF, as well as yours. Roy, believe what you want, believe that I am underestimating you, believe that you will always come out on top when we meet in that ring, believe that you are unbeatable, but Roy...you are only delaying the inevitable. You will be beaten, I will beat you and come Monday, I will show you personally that I am not underestimating you one single bit.
Hank leans forward and adjust him self comfortably in the booth before the next question will be asked.
Hank Brown: Now I would like to move on to another man that hasn't been in a WCF War match. A man that was the WCF World Champion when the WCF closed down for the 2 months that it was down. Odin Balfore, I know you two have had some history here in the WCF lately what are your thoughts on his words?
Donald Deruty: Well first I would want to talk about his recent actions here in the WCF. He showed us personally that he bought two dolls of our opponents, Logan and Brad Kane and used them to talk to each other? Might I add that the Logan doll was totally naked? I mean do we want a grown man that plays with dolls our fucking World Championship holder? I know I wouldn't. First it is this whole sci fi thing with werewolves, and Norse mythology and shit, and now it has gone to him buying dolls that which...one of them happens to be completely naked. Hank, you aren't that sick in your mind to buy a naked Logan doll.
Odin, I don't know what your intentions to do at War, but you have been a thorn in my side for too damn long. Odin, it is time that I remove that thorn and rid you from the WCF forever. I have had enough of your bullshit, I mean you are older than mother fucking Brad Kane and he can been here for a damn long time. I don't know what you are trying to prove or what but I am not convinced that you are the man that will take the WCF by storm. I don't think that you are the man that you say you are, you are just a little coward. I mean you couldn't be a fucking man and just fight your fight at Monday at War? Ohh No! You had to attack the man that has complete control of this company. You had to assault Seth for taking away your precise little World Championship. Odin, get your head out of your ass. You can't go around doing shit like you did in the fucking medieval times. Odin, I don't know why you fucking stay here. You have pissed off so many people that everyone has a target right on your forehead.
From people like Jay Williams to Roy Speede, so many people have been wanting to get their hands on you and this is their chance. Even though all of these people have been waiting their turn patiently. I am going to promise you that I will be the first to land a hit, I will promise you that I will beat you to a bloody pulp that you will only be pieces for the rest of the men after you. Odin, you better enjoy your weekend because it will be your last couple of days before I put you into intensive care on Monday during War.
Hank Brown looks at his clock before he returns to the interview.
Hank Brown: Well unfortunately I am late, how about lets wrap this up. Is there anything else you would like to say to the rest of the competitors that will be in War?
Donald Deruty: All I can say is that I don't care who anyone is. Come the time when I enter that ring...everyone in that ring with me will be my enemy!
The camera just fades to black with a close up to D-Day's face as he says the final words of the interview. They echo through out the air until there is complete and utter silence.
The sight of a 3 story building with so many bright lights that are unable to be counted.
