Tick, tick, tick. It repeated sound of a big grandfather clock just fills the air like there was nothing else on the face of the Earth. I repeated sound of the ticks echo through out the entire place, nothing but darkness can be seen as it sets up a very eery sight and feeling. Nothing seems to be moving, only the sound of the big grandfather clock is heard. A sudden light flashes on followed by another light, and followed by another. Tens to hundreds of lights flash on to show the scenery that was seconds ago covered with complete blackness.
The bright and elegant lighting shows the sight of thousands of metal seats with a big ring in the middle of all of them like the seats just worship the ring in the middle of the entire stadium. What a sight can be seen, a ring, metal rails, an entrance ramp, and seats just waiting to be filled for the thousands of fans of the WCF. Although everything seems abandoned there is one man that stands alone in the middle of the ring. The camera zooms in on the man standing in the middle of the WCF ring. It zooms in to show the details of the man's clothes and facial features.
The man is very formaly dressed a white sports coat, and a black vest. The man has matching silk white dress pants. He looks like a million bucks in his nice formal but very familiar appearance as he just stands in the middle of the ring with his hands in the pockets of his very expensive clothing. His dark brown hair is slicked back a little but not too much to look greased up. He seems to be looking all around at the stadium seat after section after section, seat after seat. He takes one more look at the elegant and amazing sight he just experienced and looks straight into the camera and starts to talk.
Donald Deruty: This very location will be the place where all hell will break loose, this very place is where history will take place. This place is where WCF's War X will happen and the WCF will crown not only a winner of War X but also a new WCF World Champion. These empty seats are where the fans of the WCF will sit and experience the best match of the WCF that will ever happen. Nothing will be able to beat the memories that will be made here come Monday night. All of the War that has happened before this one has been won by many different Hall Of Famers. The men that have won the War matches has gone on to greatness in the WCF winning the World Championship numerous amounts of times. Winning other WCF Championships and also having the greatest honer of all, is to be voted and put into the WCF Hall Of Fame. Names like Slickie T, Logan, Brad Kane, and many, many, more have been inducted. Many of these men have something in common with myself, we have all had a long, and successful history in the WCF.
I first showed up on the night of 6-15-09, my very first ever Slam. I was facing two of the most underrated superstars in the WCF at the time. Chris Avery, and Ryan Daniels. I can remember the match like yesterday, but to get to my point. I have been involved in this company for more than 2 whole years, and it is my time to break out and be the one that takes the reins of the WCF. Sure I have won the WCF World Championship, but for only a short period of time. It is my time to move to the next level, it is my time to move from a main eventer to “the” main eventer. I am going to be at the top of Seth's list of men who deserve that championship. I am going to be the one to win the WCF Championship at War X. One of the few things I haven't done in this company yet is win a War match, and War X is going to be the time I make history.
I have been in the shadows for too long. My time to show Seth, the entire WCF roster, and the WCF fans, what I am made of. I dont see this time off as a bad thing, I see it as a new beginning or a new opportunity to show that I have what it takes to make it to the top and to stay there for the rest of the year. When I first came into the WCF people thought I was going to be another piece of shit that just sits at the bottom of the ladder and that was what I was going to be for the rest of my career, just another piece of shit. I proved them wrong, I proved everyone wrong. I won the Television Championship when no one thought I would! I won the United States Championship when I was the “underdog”! I beat the man that has never been pinned or tapped in his whole fucking career, I defeated Torture in a Hell in a Cell match. He thought of me of just a tool, but I proved him wrong. Everyone thinks that they know what I am going to do. They think that I am predictable, well I am not. Then I moved on to the World Championship, I captured that in my first ever match for the World Championship. I proved everyone wrong, you see people think that Logan, or Brad Kane, or Odin Balfore will win this match, well prepare to be wrong because I am about to prove everyone wrong.
Donald wipes his mouth off before speaking once again to the camera.
Donald Deruty: Everyone in the WCF roster is going to be in that match, only one winner. The big names are there. Jay Williams, Johnny Reb, Oblivion, Brad Kane, Logan, Doc Henry, and many more to speak of. I must ask one simple question though, have they beaten the undefeated man known as Torture? Have they gone through this company from the little plankton at the bottom to the sharks at the top?
Logan, you called me “ the hair on your ass” you also concluded that your “mole” could kick your ass. Well Logan, sure you are a Hall of Famer, but you sure as hell dont act like one! Weeks before the WCF shut down me and you were in a tag team match for my WCF Tag Team Championships, and you couldnt even beat to middle of the card contenders! You want to be the one to talk about getting your ass kicked? Logan you are the one that is going to get your ass kicked, I mean if you cant even beat two middle card contenders. How are you going to beat the big dogs like Jay Williams, Johnny Reb, Brad Kane, and myself? I mean you just aren't going to win, it is simple as that. Another thing you said about me is that I don't have any substance, I don't have any character. I am just a robot in the world of the WCF, doing everything generic nothing that just popped out at anyone. Well what do you call the time I kicked Torture's ass in the middle of the steel cage the Slam before our Hell in a Cell match? I am pretty sure the fans don't find me “generic”. Logan, you don't want to get on the wrong side of me, because history shows what I have done to people who get on my bad side. History is taught so that it never happens again, but apparently you didn't get the memo.
It doesn't matter if I am the first one out to enter the ring, or the last one to enter the ring, I am defiantly going to be the last one in the ring when that bell rings. Logan, last time we met in the ring we were interrupted by an outside interference. This just makes this match even better and better than before. What you didn't experience in the ring the last time we met, you are going to experience this week at War. I don't care how many Dead and Forgottens it takes, I don't care how many D for Destructions I have to perform. I don't care how long I have to have your throat in the Justice Lock, I will be in that ring longer than you will be. I don't care who eliminates you, I don't care who you eliminate. All that matters is the last one in that ring when that bell rings for the end of the match. That man is going to be me, not Odin, not Jay, not Johnny, not Doc, not Brad, but Donald “D-Day” Deruty.
Donald moves around the ring and exits the ring through the ropes as he hops down the apron. He then looks and speaks at the camera again as he walks around the ring.
Donald Deruty: Speaking of a man that I have had a fair history with. A man that has managed to beat me every time we have have faced each other in a match. This man is Brad Kane, another man that is in the WCF Hall of Fame. Brad you think that you can just take the WCF by storm, a man that has done nothing but show up one week in his match, and then disappear the very next week. Brad you do have a point when you said that you haven't been acting like a Hall of Famer and you are right on that. You are wrong about entering this match, I mean you even said it yourself, this match maybe your last if you don't win at War. Brad why delay the inevitable? I mean you keep saying that you are going to retire, why don't you just retire? Brad you are becoming the Brett Favre of the wrestling world. You are facing guys that are almost half your age. Brad just give it up, I mean what are you going to do if you win at War? Stay until you lose the World Championship? Come on Brad, I know you, I know you don't want to be known as the man that lost the WCF World Championship in your last match. Do you?
Brad, do as you will, but just because of your age, or you reason to be in the match. Brad, I see this match as the biggest in my career it isn't only a match to show what I can do here in the WCF, its not only against the entire WCF roster, but it is also for the WCF World Championship. I let that championship slip through my hands once and I will not allow you to take that away from me. I made the biggest mistake of my career against Odin Balfore at Ultimate Showdown. A mistake during the match at War could change the ending of the match in a flash. I will not make a mistake on Monday, and I can promise you that Brad. At War, it isn't the match for the United States Championship like when we met before this is for the World Championship, this is for a place in the record books, this is a match that will make a Hall of Famer. No one will take this opportunity from me, especially you Brad.
Opportunities come from many different occasions, my big opportunity is my match against a man other known as “Dynamite”. A man that I brought back into this company after I took him out during our match for the WCF World Championship. Jay I have so much respect for you that it isn't even funny. I respect your every action, and that is why I choose you to be one of my partners against Odin and his “Alliance”. Jay, we gave the whole WCF universe a hell of a match the last time we met in the ring, lets say if we ever meet face to face in that ring on Monday that we do the exact same thing.
Jay, just because I have much respect for you doesn't mean I will make it a walk in the park on Monday. Because of all the respect I feel that I have to try harder to beat you. I know what you can bring to the table, I have been in the line of fire from you. Jay no matter what you bring, it will not be good enough. Just like in your last match when I took you and delayed your career any further. No matter how much respect I have, or no matter how much we are friends, the match at War is too big to try and risk your chance of winning to save your allies chance. Jay, I want to wish you good luck in the match on Monday, everyone that gets in my way will defiantly need all the luck they can get.
Donald starts to walk up the concrete stairs as he continues to talk about the big match at War.
Donald Deruty: Another big contender for myself is Johnny Reb. A man that has made a name for himself in the tag team division. Reb is another man that came back because of myself. In the thought of getting back up against Odin and his little “alliance”. Reb, you have shown that you can win a singles championship as well as a tag team championship, but can and will you be able to win War? Are you at that type of caliber to be winning such a match as this one. This is quite possibly the biggest match of the whole year, I know you can compete. The real question is that can you win it all? Reb, I haven't had much of a history with you at all, I think I have only been on the other side of the ring about a few times. We have had moments in our career that people will never forget. We have both won the WCF World Championship, we have both held the WCF Tag Team Championships. In our careers we have about accomplished the same thing, but the one thing that we have not accomplished is the moment of us having our hand raised at the end of a War match. Reb, this is the match for both of us, this moment must be the time that we show everything that we have and we kick ass. We need to accomplish this feature of the WCF, if we fail, another year we must wait for another opportunity. Reb, Monday is the moment of truth for me and you...lets make history!
With all of this talking of War is really making me think of one man, and one man only. This man is the man that I want to just pummel into the ground come Monday at War. This man has gotten a thought that he is the best wrestler on the fucking planet since he won the World Championship once. This man is Odin Balfore. Odin, you don't know what you are seriously fucking talking about. You say that you are a very soon to be WCF Hall of Famer. I want to ask you why you think you are going to be one of the lucky chosen to be put into the lucky group of those men that has worked their asses off for years and years in their careers. Odin, you haven't done shit to be able to be eligible to be in the WCF Hall of Fame. Odin, you have been in the WCF for 3...4 months? Odin, you are just an old man who probably wont remember a think come a year or so. Odin, your ass has been in the wrestling industry, you cant even walk down the entrance ramp with out almost having a heart attack. Also I dont know what religion you believe in but you sound like a fucking die hard Twilight fan. “My friends the wolfs will worship me...blahh blahh blahh.” Odin I am tired of your little syfy episodes. Odin, get in the real world. You are in your little fantasy world with werewolfs and vampires, Norse gods, and many other fairytale creatures.
Odin, get your head out of your ass. You have won matches against me before, but you don't know what I have become. You don't know what I am capable of doing after this break in the WCF. I am ready for anything, that anyone throws at me. Odin, you may think you will be leaving War with the WCF World Championship belt around your waist but I can guarantee that it will not end that way. It isn't just a match for me, it is personal now! For everyone else in the War match that I didn't mention, you all better watch yourselves come Monday, because when you are around veterans like many of the competitors in War this year, they will not be easy to beat. Good luck to everyone in the match on Monday, you will need as much luck you can get. So grab your rabbits feet, and four leaf clovers because Monday is only 4 days away!
Donald walks up and out of the main stadium as the scene ends with the very last thing that is seen is the lights booming off one by one until complete and utter darkness.
