* The following is a WCF.com exclusive interview between Hank Brown and Odin Balfore. *
Hank: Odin, what were you’re thoughts going into your Ultimate Showdown match?
Odin: Going into WCF, I was thinking about how much I can change the game. Here the WCF is at the cusp of something “more” an I AM going to be the guy to take it there.
Hank: So then this was destiny?
Odin: Destiny can be changed. What I have planed can’t.
Hank: And what d you have planned?
Odin: You’ll find out when it happens. Lets just say that its time for WCF to step up or get slapped down and buried. Everyone was focused on just showing everyone something while I just had my mind on one thing, the WCF World Title.
Hank: What about when you won; what was going through your mind?
Odin: how sweet it was, I stuck it to WCF. I stuck it to all the established, all the hopefuls and everyone who thinks they can just take a number and think they are owned something. Everyone in that match felt they were owed something except I’m the only one that went out and took it from them. I robbed WCF of supposed greatness because it’s a fucking sham! Guys walk around and come ago as they please just jabbering little fun nuggets of irrelevant information into the cool-aide laden minds of the WCF fan base. “ oh I used to be important here.” or “ look at me, I’ a WCF hall of famer but I haven’t been around in like two years but I’m more important then everyone else. “ How much bullshit are you trying to feed people? It was obvious to me since I day I walked in this door that all the WCF was concerned about was its past., about its past talent and that’s all that is; the PAST! Now Ragnaroks its future.
Hank: Do you have any lingering comments or thoughts on your opponents from that match?
Odin: Well, I think I broke the Hero’s back. Who knows if he’ll be back but when he does he’ll be taking quick glances at me because he knows the pain that I caused him. You know I heard that he wanted time off after this match? Do you think he knew what he was getting himself into? I think so. I think he knew exactly what was going to happen- so he cleared his schedule.
As for Kaylynn- to paraphrase Santiago.. It’s ova baby! She wanted to push and that was the wrong option. She was another who had something to prove and failed. In fact they all failed and none failed more gloriously then Jay Price. Price wanted so badly to put everyone in their place and show why he was hall of fame bound and part of that league that I wanted to destroy. He was so adamant about it too but what did he do- like a little bitch he got himself disqualified.
Hank: Speaking of your match, this week your in action against Speede and Oblivion with Doc Henry as your tag partner.
Odin: Yeah, I’m not too sure about that. Eh, you got Roy Speede and Oblivion are complete polar opposites and Speede thinks that its just his time and his owed that time.
Hank: He is the tag team champion.
Odin: True, he is but don’t think that Oblivion is going to forget anything that Speede said about him. I can still stand here and tell you that Obi is ok in my book but what can Speede say? This week is just a pick up week after all the fall out of the pay per view an let me tell you when I say that the fall out is going to continue to grow after tonight.
What I’m worried about is Doc Henry. Every time you turn around this guy is on the pt and it’s the incompetence that I’ve been pair with in WCF which is why I have my one loss an only draw. I’ve gone past this whole “ proving” aspect of wrestling. I’ve been the champion, I’ve been “that” guy. THEE guy an here I am again so what do I have to show a damn soul in WCF; absolutely nothing! I don’t know what Docs going to do an I don’t care what Docs going to do because I’m going to walk to the ring with my belt high in the air like a banner of war, step into that ring, slap down D-day and tear the roof off with oblivion. If the big man wants to try me then I’ll jack him up and break his back like I did to D-Day.
Oblivion and Speede have to over come themselves and each other in this match. Oblivions not going to care about Speede so that’ll leave him vulnerable in that ring because the hot tag won’t be there. Doc’s job is going to be simple:
Stand on the apron like a good boy and slap my hand for the tag when I’m ready. I’m not taking orders from anyone- I’m giving them an if anyone wants to disagree then they can make their voices known but I won’t be held responsible for the consequences. I’ll go this match alone- I’m totally aware that Doc might and mostly will screw me over, so to hell with him. We’re all in a match we don’t care to be in with people we don’t care to be matched with though Speede will be all psyched that he’s on the corner of Oblivion but is probably blind to the fact that it won’t save him from Oblivion whopping his ass too.
Hank: So where do we go from here?
Odin: I’ll tell you where I go from here. Monday night it’s the WCF World Champion, standing alone in the ring. That’s a given, the only issue with that is whose gonna take me down? After Oblivion lost his mask, will he even be in the state of mind to wrestle? Sure he’ll want to destroy and cause pain- that whole spiel that he’s been pitchin since the man invented the wheel. If Oblivion wants to go out there and wrestle me, then we’ll have one hell of a fight but if he wants to play this poor me thing or how the “ monster” deep in side him has been unleashed cuz he has the self esteem of one of prices kids then I’ll put the man in line with everyone else. There ain’t no place in the WCF for that anymore.
Hank: What if Doc decides to ditch you?
Odin: If Doc comes to the ring and refuses to play ball then I’ll grab his hill billy ass, toss him into the ring and just plant my fist into his face until he’s persuaded that working along side Odin Balfore during the time of Ragnarok is actually a good idea. I’m not a pussy champion nor am I guy that’s putting on a front. The entire WCF has seen that I’ll just up and walk through guys. Now that I’ve shut the roster up, whose gonna call me out on that?
Hank: Well Speede Migh--
Odin: And Speedes a pathetic excuses. He’s going to run his mouth how I’m in his type of match and how I said he’s condition for tag matches. Thanks Speede for telling me what I told the world last week but for what I sentimentally see as a possible three on one- tags arnt going to fall into your line of expertise.
Hank: Do you think you have any allys now that your champion?
Odin: Does the world champion every really have ally’s? I’ve gained the nick name “ Maverick” for a reason. Do I feel there are those dumb enough to stand against me; sure but I know there’s a few guys in the back that see me as a way to resurrect them from the bowels of obscurity that the establishment has segregated them too. Maybe Doc Henry will be one of those guys that’ll see that.
Hank: Speaking of that, Philip Baines seems to have been one of Odin Balfore’s big time supporters. I know I had mentioned this to you after we had went off the air at the Pay Per View but do you think you could give the WCF your thoughts on this?
Odin: That’s what I’m talking about. Baines is like me. People look at him the same way they looked at me. Here’s a guy that’s ripping the roster down, just completely annihilating it but how do they feel about it? He’s just the hardcore champion right ? People in this company must think its like a disease but Baines has been successfully defending his belt, beating everyone and in some really brutal ways. Its ok though, right? Because he’s only the hardcore champion an unless your some douche bag washed up meat sock from like five years ago, then your name don’t mean dick around here. That’s sad too because Baines could do what ever the hell he wants in this company and no one could really stop him. So am I surprised that Baines agrees with my take an enforcement on WCF, absolutely not. Here’s Baines chance to be that top guy that he is and remove himself from this phantom invisible label that is being the Hardcore Champion.
The entire WCF has this mentality that “ oh yeah, Baines his great but fuck em’ because he’s only got this third rate title.” When Baines is one of the top three talents currently in WCF. If Baines wants to be part of Ragnarok and bring the company to its knees- then I’m all for it.
Hank: What about the title shot that he can cash in at any time; are you worried about that?
Odin: I can already tell you that Baines won’t be sneaking that up on me. All Baines has to do if knock on my door and say “ Lets go do this.” Gotta respect the man that’s willing to take charge of his own life and damn the expenses that it may cost him. Right now its more about the company then about him an once we fix it, if that’s what he wants to do and be apart of Ragnarok then we can worry about that. So am I worried about his title shot? Nope.
Hank: Any last thoughts on your tag match before we end this interview?
Odin: We are now in the darkest dawn that WCF has ever seen where guys like Oblivion will no longer run their mouth and think that’s enough to pull their weigh in a match. it’s a time when begging and pleading and bitching about “ your time” or “ your moment” won’t get you to where you want to be. The young guys, Prices kids who think their owed something because the blood and sweat that I gave to this business need to get in line and take their licks because Odin Balfore simply aint havin that. If Monday night comes down to a fair match then expect me to go out there and run that ring as I see fit. I’ve been the best since I got here, I’ve beaten the best and now its time WCF got behind me because I’m the real leader around here.
Now’s not the time for “ pushing” or “ moments.” This ain’t the time to show nothing except that the way WCF has done business and accepts that way as the way to continue is business is the WRONG way to do it. The hall of fame guys that still around here and leech to something provide nothing except detriments to this company. Oblivion just wants to sit at the bar and drink, so to speak but he’s not paying up on his tab, soon he will if he’s not going to fight in Ragnarok. Speede, whose accomplished in this company still has to prove that he can be that big time player but his experience is what’s keeping him from attaining more. Now its time to act on all that.
I will put WCF through the paces, through the ringer.. Through the glass ceiling and Odin Balfore’s Ragnarok is the only thing it needs because it’s past ain’t doin nothing but killing it an if your not up for that then Odin Balfore along with Phillip Baines WILL end your career in WCF Permanently.
WCF.. Starting Monday with Oblivion and Speede.. Two sides of the spectrum but both who do more harm then good for this company will be the first two to put up or shut up.
Time to separate the men from the boys Hank. So I have spoken, so it shall come to pass.
Hank: Ok, Thank you Odin. That’s all the time we have fore. See you and the good WCF fans Monday night, on Slam!
