Monday Night Slam was fast approaching and no matter how hard I trained I felt like I wasn't ready. I mean I was in a six way elimination match and there was no way to prepare for something like that. Yeah, I had won my debut agaisnt Da Funk but that was a totally different game then this. This was going to be a lot more exhausting, a lot more brutal and a lot more competitive. Even if I did get a pin or two I still had people coming after me over and over again. There would be no breaks, no time to breath at all and the only person I could depend on was myself. Was I excited? Heck yeah but I was all terrified all at the same time. Beating Da Funk got my foot in the door but if I won this thing I would be a name everyone would remember in WCF going forward. I would make an impact and nobody would be able to deny it. This was my chance to cement my place in WCF forever.
The arena was going crazy the day of Slam. Everyone was running around preparing the ring, preparing the pyro and everything else that needed to get ready. I was just standing by and watching though as I tried to focus, forget about my personal problems and prepare mentally and physically for the match to come. I had on my wrestling gear already, except for my knee pads and elbow pads. I was wearing a pair of purple shorts and a matching purple top that showed plenty of skin for the boys but also let me move freely in the ring. I was standing next to the stair well, my leg up on the railing as I stretched out, leaning forward to touch the tip of my toe. As I was doing this though I heard a whistle from behind me and I quickly turned around to see WCF interviewer Hank Brown and a camera man behind me. The camera man was the one staring at my ass and grinning like some 12 year old boy looking at his first naked girl. I didn't mind though, I had grown used to looks like that. I smiled at them both as Hank moved over next to me.
Hank Brown: Hello folks and welcome to WCF Slam! I'm here backstage before the show with the lovely, the beautiful Aubrey Summers. It is nice to see you preparing for your match, Aubrey and thanks for giving me your time here tonight.
I was a bit shocked that he was doing an interview but I pulled my leg down and smiled, holding my hands behind me back as I bounced lightly on my heels nervously.
Aubrey Summers: No problem, Hank. How can I help you?
Hank Brown: I can think of a few ways you could help me but most of them aren't appropriate for television. Haha! I'm just kidding. Seriously though first off since we haven't chatted before I would like to welcome you to WCF.
Aubrey Summers: Thanks, Hank. I appreciate that and I'm thrilled to be here. I mean this is the best wrestling company in the world and the fact that they considered me good enough to be on the same roster as all the amazing superstars here tonight just blows me away. This is a dream come true for me and each night inside this ring is a personal thrill for me.
Hank Brown: It is fantastic to see someone really happy to be working here. Most people are a bit negative.
Aubrey Summers: I've noticed that but I try not to let people get me down too much. Like Kaylyn has been picking on me since day one, harassing me and bullying me in general. I could give up and quit but I worked too hard to get here for that. I can't fight her off either because I would be fired. Really I have two options, deal with it the best I can and enjoy all the good things in my life or I can get depressed and give up. I'm not one to give up though. She can keep trying to break me down if she wants but as long as I have this job in this amazing company I'll always have something to look forward to.
Hank Brown: Plus you'll be looking forward to Roy Speede from what I hear, right?
I blushed a bit, not sure how everyone knew so much about my personal life. I guess it wasn't a too well guarded secret though.
Aubrey Summers: Yeah, me and Roy have been hanging out a lot. He is a nice guy and it is nice to have someone to talk to backstage or away from the arena about life and about work. Plus he's been in WCF longer then myself so he can give me a few inside tips on my upcoming matches and opponents. And he's really cute which doesn't hurt one bit.
Hank Brown: Ha! He is one lucky guy if you ask me. Let's get back to the Kaylyn issue though. Why is she obsessed with you?
Aubrey Summers: I honestly have no idea. I don't know if she likes me or hates me even. It is a strange situation and I'm not sure how to correct it. Like I could challenge her to a match with my contract on the line against her title or something. Then if I win she has to leave me along from now on.
Hank Brown: But if you lose...
Aubrey Summers: Then I'll work for her. It seems a bit extreme but I may need to go to those lengths to get her off my back. I don't know if I'm good enough to beat her even though. She has faced some of the best in WCF and come out on top. I would be fighting with all my heart though unlike some of them. I would be fighting for my personal freedom and well being too not just a ten pound belt.
Hank Brown: Do you think she'd accept such an offer?
Aubrey Summers: Again... I wish I knew. She is a mystery to me still and with Creeping Death on her side I'm kind of in a bad situation. Sometime though I'll get to the bottom of it but right now she is not my focus and I'm doing my best not to worry about her for the rest of the night. I mean I have a huge match coming up.
Hank Brown: Very true! You are going into a six-way elimination style match up against five well established performers. Thoughts on this match?
Aubrey Summers: Thoughts? Wow... I have tons. My mind is buzzing with different ideas and game plans. This match is huge and I'm honored to be in it. They could of put me early in the card fighting another rookie but instead they let me step-up my game to a huge match like this. It is fantastic and I don't know who booked it but I would probably hug them if I could. Win or loss just being out there is awesome. I could learn so much from these men and women during this match it'll be a great experience. Of course it'll be hard. It'll be harder then any match I've been in so far in my short career. I don't have any illusions of dominating people either. I don't think I'll pin all five of them without breaking a sweat. I'm not crazy like that at all. I probably wont' win but I'll still try. I'll bleed, I'll sweat and I'll break bones if I have to. This is wrestling and I may look like a bikini model but I fight harder then the most hardcore guy in the locker room. This match will be remembered as the night that Aubrey Summers made a name for herself. A night where I shocked the world with a performance that they never expected out of me. It's going to be amazing.
Hank Brown: I love the attitude. Who in this match are you most excited or worried to face?
Aubrey Summers: I'm not worried about anyone. They are all talented and they all bring certain skills and tricks to the ring. Any one of them could pull out the win realisticly. As for most excited to be in the ring with I would have to say Ana Valentine. She's been a star here in WCF for a long time and as a hot chick she didn't let the boys ever get her down. I respect that and I'm thrilled to be facing one of the few other ladies on the roster. In my dream scenerio it would be the two of us at the end. Two ladies battling it out after the four men are gone. That would be fun.
Hank Brown: I'm sure the men in the crowd would love to see that too.
Aubrey Summers: Probably... I don't mind giving the boys a fun show on occasion.
I winked at the camera with a bit of a giggle. I could see Hank grin really big as I said it and I couldn't help but laugh a bit. I was just being silly which was fun. I didn't want to get all caught up in the drama like other people did.
Hank Brown: Let's say you win this match tonight. What is next for Aubrey Summers?
Aubrey Summers: I have no idea. Whatever is thrown at me though I'll gladly face. Maybe I'll go for Kaylyn and her belt. See how much she likes it when someone is going after her for a change... I like to settle things in the ring not backstage too so that is where I would like to work things out with her.
Hank Brown: That would be an epic battle and once again a treat for every man in attendance. Could you make it some sort of bra and panties match?
Aubrey Summers: Bra and panites? I'll strip her down naked if that is what it takes.
Hank Brown: Wow! Sign me up to be at ringside for that one!
Aubrey Summers: Again I couldn't help but laugh as I rolled my eyes. Would I really go that far? I had no idea but it was a bold claim to make and it woudl hopefully get Kaylyn's attention to show her that I would fight her. Yeah, when she had me backstage with no one around I was at her mercy a bit but in the ring it would be different.
Hank Brown: Well Aubrey Slam is about to begin. Is there anything else you'd like to add?
Aubrey Summers: Just want to say a quick Happy 4th of July to everyone and that Slam will be one heck of a show!
Hank Brown: There you go folks. We'll see you in the ring, Aubrey and good luck.
He smiled and nodded his head to me. He then said something low to the camera man and they headed off again without another word. I shook my head before I put my other leg up on the railing and started to stretch. This time though I saw the person coming at me as I saw Roy out of the corner of my eye.
Roy Speede: Wow... That is quite a sight. I didn't know you were so... Uh... Flexible.
Aubrey Summers: This is nothing, babe. I can do the splits for you if you want.
Roy Speede: Haha. Not right now. How are you doing though? Looks like you are ready for Slam?
Aubrey Summers: Yeah, I think I am. It has been a hard week of training but I think I have it all down. I'm as ready as I'll ever be. How about yourself? Are you ready for that barbed wire?
Roy Speede: I don't think there is anyway to get ready for that.
Aubrey Summers: True... I'm kind of worried about you in that one. Be careful.
Roy Speede: I will be. I mean I could either spend the night in the ICU or watch fireworks with you? I'm going to make sure I get to choose the second option.
Aubrey Summers: Good thinking. I'm sad we'll miss some of the show during Slam. I love fireworks... They are fun and kind of romantic.
Roy Speede: I'll make sure we find some once Slam goes off the air. I'll go buy some and set them off if I have to. I'd do anythign for you, babe.
Aubrey Summers: You are so sweet. How did I get so lucky to find a guy like you?
Roy Speede: You're lucky? I don't think so. There are tons of guys... And girls in this locker room who would kill for a chance to take you out but you picked me.
Aubrey Summers: Most the other guys in this locker room scare me too though. You just seem way more real. There is one more thing I wanted to give you before you go out to the ring. Your match is before mine and you'll probably be kind of banged up afterwards so I thought now would be the perfect time to give it to you.
Roy Speede: You didn't need to get me anything.
I smiled at him as I turned, putting my butt up against the railing as I grabbed his t-shirt and pulled him towards me. I then wrapped both arms around his neck as I pressed my lips against his. It didn't stop there though as soon there was a bit of tongue action. I lifted one of my legs up and he grabbed it, the feel of his hand on my naked thigh sending a chill up my spine. After a few seconds the kiss ended and I smiled at him as he let my leg go. He lifted his hand, brushing some hair out of my face.
Aubrey Summers: That was your good luck kiss.
Roy Speede: Good luck kiss? Jesus Aubrey... That was amazing.
Aubrey Summers: If we both win tonight then there might be a few celebration kisses in store for you too. If that doesn't give you a reason to win then I don't know what will.
Roy Speede: Ha! I think Era is in deep trouble now.
Aubrey Summers: I can't wait to see you win. But I have to go to hair and make-up to get some touch ups before I head to the ring.
Roy Speede: You look beautiful just the way you are.
Aubrey Summers: Thanks but when those cameras are in HD tonight I don't want my lip stick smeared because I was kissing you. Plus if it is all perfect then I can mess it up all over again later.
Roy Speede: That is a good thought.
Aubrey Summers: Speaking of lipstick. You may want to wipe that off your face before you wrestle. Makes you look a little less intimidating.
Roy laughed as he tried to wipe it off with his wrist. I smiled at him and I leaned in giving him a much shorter quick kiss this time.
Aubrey Summers: I'll see you after the show, tiger.
As I took a step away from him I gave him a smack on his butt which made him jump. It was nice having a man to watch my back and to cheer me up. Of course I was freaked out about his match but he could handle it. He was one half of the tag team champions and he knew what he was doing. Worrying about something I couldn't control didn't make sense anyways. I had my own battle to win and five people to eliminate.
