The scene opens to Ryan Blake backstage in his locker room. He's sitting on a bench, looking down at the floor. He fiddles with his fingers which are in his lap. There are a few dim lights shining on his from behind the camera at different angles making shadows all behind him. He looks up to the camera,
Ryan- Wow, so here I am, huh? Ryan Blake verses Shadow. A double debut match this week on Slam, sounds like fun. I just need to say that when I first saw Shadow getting off of that plane, coming to the US, I thought it was a joke at first. I honestly though that some one was just playing a joke on me. But then I realized that, this wasn't a joke, Shadow is really just that bad. I won't lie. I was in shock because I heard that Mr. Miyagi died a while ago. But I guess not cause there he was!
And then here comes his baby sitter, umm…. Flare, Rare, Derriere? Something like that…Oh, Blair! That's what his name was. Right, so here he comes speaking for Shadow, saying that Ryan Blake will be the first to feel his rage and power. Power? Really? Shadow doesn't like he has any power. I mean he's like, what? Four foot two? Shadow looks more like a needle, a little intimidating at first, but then you realize he's just a little prick. Then he says that if I mess with him I'm going to feel a lot of pain. Ha, don't make me laugh. This is a wrestling match, not a tea party. There will be pain regardless. Did you think that was going to scare me? The only one that's going to feel pain is you, Shadow. So after Blair talks his shit, Shadow finally speaks and he sounds like a robot! Saying, 'I come to fight for American glory.' American glory!? Are you kidding me? Don't make me get the new champ involved in this, just stop while you're ahead.
Ryan Chuckles then continues,
Ryan- So I bet you're all wondering, "Ryan, what's up with the lights?" Well I just wanted to make another point to Shadow. You see Shadow, there are shadows all around me.
Ryan turns and points the four different shadows behind him.
Ryan- One there, there, there and there too. I'm not at all afraid of any Shadow and that will never change. Also, these are here just to represent how common Shadows are in this world. You see Shadow, there are people like you all around the world. They act all big and tough until they get in the ring. Then they're sorry for everything they said and want to take it all back, but it's too late for that. Shadow, lets face facts. You have lots of wounds and I'm the salt. You will not beat me, no matter how hard you try.
Why will Ryan Blake beat Shadow? Why's winter cold? I can do this all day.
As hard as it is being my own biggest fan, I support myself fully. And soon the world will too. When the world sees Ryan Blake in the ring, they will be in awe, no questions asked. I've been infected with the sickness of a perfectionist. Everything Ryan Blake does is perfect, because Ryan Blake is Ryan Blake. And no body can compare, relate or repeat my greatness, no matter what anybody says. Just bow down and respect it. Accept defeat while you're ahead because there will be no turning back. Ryan Blake, yes, the rookie, is going to school you in the ring this week. And at the end of the match, Shadow will have his "PHD" in Ryan-Blake-is-the-best-ology. And it will be epic!
Ryan gives a smirk and the scene fades.
