As you can see on the card for the 6/20 edition of WCF Slam, there's word that former WCF World Champion, Jay Williams has gone on "hiatus", even though he's still one half of the WCF Tag Team Champions with D-Day. We have been reported by sources though, that during Monday night's main event at WCF BLAST! between Jay Williams and Donald "D-Day" Deruty for the WCF World Heavyweight Championship, Williams seemed to be limping as the match went on. We believe that when he missed his signature "GTFO~!" dive to the outside, he seemed to have landed awkwardly on his chest and back and may have injured himself on the fall. Whatever the brunt of the injury is concerned, we're uncertain, but we'll keep you posted as the night goes on.

UPDATE: Just as this went to post on the site, Jay Williams went to his Facebook and gave us all some bad news.

Yeah, as you all saw in my match with D-Day, I tweaked myself hardcore on the GTFO dive. I thought it was fine, but as I walked to the back, the adrenaline died and all I felt was the craziest pain in the world. I hate to break the news to you, but I went to the doc's today for an x-ray, and they said my pectoral muscle in the left side of my body is torn to shreds. It has taken some damage before apparently, but that dive was the one that did me in. This fucking sucks, although for the doctor to tell me that "the simple fact I finished the match" was astounding. That was the only good part I heard.
As with an tear like this, I need surgery, and at the time you read this post, I'll probably be under the knife. The timetable is 5-11 months, from what I hear from the doctors. Depends on how well I can rehab. I have no idea what I will do with myself, especially after I JUST came back to pro wrestling, but...life has a cruel way of biting back some times.
Luckily, I just lost the World Championship, so it's not all bad. I do have one half of the Tag Team Championship though I have to give up, and that's why you see the way it is on Slam next week with D-Day looking for a new partner.
To my fans though, my appreciation is tenfold over what you have done to support me as I returned to this lovely sport. You have NO idea how much it means to me. I hope you guys can keep that support as I start another road, a road to recovering and kicking ass again. I'm not done with this...not by a long shot. And believe you me, I will be back. It's never game over for me.
Thanks, and much love.
