JJ Biggs and Jake Hudson are seated at a round table in the center of a carpeted room. To the side of the table is a small television which is resting on a smaller round table. On top of the television is a VCR. The light from the ceiling is beating down on the two of them which is causing them both to perspire.
So far, neither of them has said anything to another. JJ Biggs has a blank expression painted across his face. Maybe he doesn't know what he's been brought to this room by Jake. Either way, he doesn't seem to be bothered as he leans back in his chair with his Mountain Dew in his hand. He takes a drink out of the can and then he sets it back on the table.
Suddenly, Jake scoots back in his chair and he quickly reaches across the round table and he grabs the Mountain Dew can. He throws it as hard as he can off of the far wall. JJ looks over at the fallen can.
Jake Hudson: What the hell is your problem, JJ? Do you not care anymore? Do you want everyone to think that you're a has-been?
JJ Biggs: Calm down, man. What the hell are you talking about?
Jake Hudson: What am I talking about? JJ, since you've been in this company you have been slacking off in the ring. I'm surprised your piss-poor performance hasn't cost you your job yet. Or worse, I'm surprised you haven't hurt anybody yet.
JJ Biggs: What are you talking about? I have two victories so far in this company.
Jake Hudson: Victories? You call those victories? You've proven to everyone that watches the WCF that you're just a shadow of your former self. The only way you can win is in tag team matches, JJ. Is this company too tough for you? If that isn't the problem, then what the hell is it? A couple of months ago, you were on top of the world. Now look at yourself. You come from a main-eventer, to the second match of the night for WCF's pay-per-view.
JJ Biggs: What the fuck is your problem, Jake? I'm handling my business in the ring just like I always do. I was never unbeatable, I never claimed that I was. However, I go out to the ring week in and week out and I do what I can.
Jake Hudson: No you don't. Not anymore. You just don't give a shit anymore. In your mind, you've proven yourself to everyone. You think that all because you're a former world champion in another company you can come into a new place and slack off. You can't. Do you think the management of the WCF is going to keep you under contract if you endanger the rest of their wrestlers because you half ass a simple move like a DDT or whatever and give them a huge chance of being paralyzed? You have to understand that you're nothing in this company. You're just a newbie trying to build a reputation. I know you've had an outstanding career, but if you plan to continue wrestling for another 10-15 years, you're going to have to pick it up.
Not only that, ever since you signed with the WCF you have been pissing me off. You're drinking beer before your matches, you're sitting around drinking that piss called Mountain Dew instead of hitting the gym. You're watching bullshit television shows instead of tapes of your opponents. I'm getting tired of it. We're both aging and before long this will just be something we can write about in a biography. That said, I'm going to ask you two questions. Are you willing to get your shit together so you can begin your rise to the top of the WCF starting at Payback with Ace? Or do you want to continue to be a slacker and cost yourself the little respect you have from these WCF fans?
If you took a good look on the expression across JJ's face, a million different ideas of what he could possibly be thinking about would pass through your mind. It seems that all of this has caused him to go into shock. As if he doesn't know how to breathe anymore. Finally, he seems to snap out of it and he looks over at Jake Hudson who is red in the face.
JJ Biggs: Let's do it, man.
Jake Hudson: Thanks, man. I just want you to know that I think of you as my own brother, man. I'm just trying to pull you back to reality.
JJ Biggs: Yeah. I owe you an apology. You've helped me from the beginning and I guess these past few weeks have been a major step backwards. But I'm ready to fix it.
Jake Hudson: Good. I have a videotape of your matches this past month with Ace. We are going to have to take a look at his mistakes as well as your mistakes so we can work on improving them. We have to make sure we come out with the victory, JJ. You debuted at Blast with a victory with Ace on your side, now you are going to continue your PPV success with Ace as your opponent.
JJ Biggs: Sounds like a plan, man.
Jake Hudson: Afterwards, we're going to head over to the Gym. Ace may not be championship material, but he was signed by WCF for a reason. We're going to train hard, wrestle hard, and walk out with the victory.
JJ nods in approval. Jake turns his attention to the VCR and he turns it on. He then turns on the television. It starts off with JJ's first match in the WCF at Blast. Next will follow a couple more matches where JJ was in the same ring with Ace.
