The home of Roy Speede in Richmond, Virginia.
The scene opens focused on the living room of Roy Speede’s home from inside. The living room that was earlier used for an interview is now rather empty, as only one lone cameraman sits inside. The door opens, and Abbie Grande, Alex Haden, Roy Speede, and Nolan Walker all enter through the front door, in that order. They don’t acknowledge the camera as being there, and turn left to go up the stairs. The camera follows them up the stairs, and watches they all enter the same room, Nolan closing the door behind them. The cameraman knocks on the door, and screams can be heard from inside. Nolan opens the door, and the camera catches a glimpse of Roy Speede with his favorite baseball bat, before the screen shows only a large shatter. Light can still be seen, but the image doesn’t really show what anything is. Audio can still be heard fine.
Roy Speede: What a match! Gosh, am I tired.
Alex Haden: You have a right to be, Roy. You just went toe to toe with Shane Borderland!
Abbie Grande: And you won! This group now has three belts- two tag belts and the US Title.
Nolan Walker: So, y’all, what’s the plan? I’m not really that tired.
Haden looks over and notices the cameraman. He sees the shattered screen on the camera.
Alex Haden: Well, Camera guy’s okay, but the camera’s shattered. Oh well, we don’t need him around to have fun. I have an idea!
There is a pause, and then the sounds of a television can be heard. The Super Mario theme song can be heard, and then there is a loud ‘Mario Party Three’ scream heard in multiple voices, assumingly from the television.
Roy Speede: I like the idea, Alex. I guess I’m up for a game; I’ll sleep later.
Nolan Walker: Alright... Dibs on Yoshi!
Abbie Grande: Dammit, Nolan. You always get to be Yoshi! Fine, I’ll play as Daisy; she’s got the bad-girl attitude that kinda personifies me at times.
Roy Speede: Okay, then I’ll play as Luigi, since, of course, he and Daisy are dating.
On another note, did you hear what Shane said about me the other day? You know, I think I finally might have gotten through to him. It seems for once that I actually have been given some respect in the WCF.
Alex Haden: I know, right? How did he word it exactly? Something like, ‘He really isn’t a pushover. He was right.’
Roy Speede: Yeah... There’s the thing, guys. People are always underestimating me, be it because of lack of experience, because of lack of size, or because I’ve always got you guys around me. Shane finally realized that I may just be as capable as I say I am. He is a very talented wrestler, but he talks way too much about how good he is supposed to be, and about how I’m a nobody in this business.
Alex Haden: Exactly what I was thinking, Roy; I may have had only two matches in my WCF career, but they were both wins, and I’ve already got a title around my waist.
Abbie Grande: Yeah, Shane is alright. But he’s perfectly right, Roy. You’ve got a load of bumps in the road ahead of you.
Nolan Walker: Yeah... Like that FPV kid; he may still be young like us, but the kid's got talent; he beat Jay fuckin' Price.
Roy Speede: Yeah; he's gonna give me another one of those hellacious battles. I'm looking forward to facing another one of the new guys after facing these veteran guys.
The sound returns to the video game, as conversation quiets down. The scene fades slowly.
