We are in a stretch limo, one so lavish that only those in the upper echelon of society will ever set foot in. A rather large screen TV is placed directly below the tinted window that separates the chauffer from the back area. The TV has just about every conceivable channel, as would be expected. There is even a sunroof that can be opened if the weather permits. This is the lifestyle that everyone dreams about, but so few get to live it out. A familiar looking man sits on the plush leather seat and takes a sip of some fine wine. He turns off the TV and takes another sip from the glass before he sets it down and begins to speak.
My name is Thunder, and while you may not know me right now, you will soon enough. I am an experienced wrestler, and have achieved success elsewhere. I took a long sabbatical thinking I had accomplished everything I wanted to do. During that time I came into some money, a lot of money. Since then I have been living the lavish lifestyle that I’ve always wanted. I had it all, or so I thought. I tried my hand at other sports, but I didn’t enjoy it. Playing tennis on my personal court bored me. I was led back to my one true passion: wrestling. There is simply nothing like the feeling you get when in front of 15,000 people holding a title above your head in victory. I will feel that soon in WCF, like I have felt so many times before. But I’ve never been one to look ahead. The only thing that’s on my mind right now is winning my debut match at Ultimate Showdown. I am facing two tough competitors, but quite frankly, they can’t match me move-for-move in the ring.
In one corner you have “The Suicide King” Chad Allen. That’s a very appropriate name for you considering that you are essentially committing career suicide by stepping in the ring with me. I’ll wipe the floor with you, and then only my other opponent will be left. His name is “The Wolf” Conrad Howell. You may have the luck of the Irish on your side, but that is not enough to defeat me. So down another beer and grab a four leaf clover, it’s going to be a long night for you.
There is no doubt that my opponents, Joe Kessen and “The Dragon” Tony, are two future stars of WCF. But you two aren’t even fit to lace my boots. I am simply in a different league from everyone else that is wrestling. I have it all: brains, technical skill, experience, and of course, money. At Ultimate Showdown I make my debut, and get one step closer to becoming a champion. Now if you excuse me, I must now leave. Chauffer, open the door and please remove the cameraman from the limo.
We hear the sound of a door closing. Within a few seconds, the door nearest Thunder is opened by the chauffer. He steps out and adjusts his suit and tie. The door slams shut, and his figure disappears from the view through the window.
