All right readers, as promised I'm back with a look at the upcoming Slam card and this time I'm going to give you my predictions for the outcome.

January 3rd, 2010 Live from Madison Square Garden in New York

Jay Price/D-Day/Doc Henry vs Brad Kane/Troy Malenko/Johnny Reb
Man oh man, I haven't been this excited for a match up since the last time Dempsey knocked out Firpo (and for you younger generation, I do suggest you look those bouts up). Now back to business, this main event should be a dandy. On one side of the ring you have the new WCF World Champion Brad Kane, fresh off his historic victory over Torture at One, teaming up with former World Champion and current Tag Champion Johnny Reb, and the impressive newcomer Troy Malenko. And if that team wasn't impressive enough, on the other side of the ring you have The Future Jay Price teaming up with Doc Henry and the apparent newest member of This_Is_WAR, United States Champion D-Day. Mark my words readers, this is going to turn into an all out brawl inside of the ring. Everyone already knows about the war being raged between Reb and Doc, and you know that Reb is looking to come back after losing at One. D-Day and Malenko may not be feuding now, but you have to already know that it's only a matter of time before Malenko goes for D-Day's US Title. And then finally there is Price, who quite frankly seems to have issues with all three.

My Prediction: Price, D-Day and Doc pull off the win.

The Big Time Jerks vs Machine Gun Joe/Abel Channing
Former Tag Team Champions going up against a team of two impressive up and comers that are looking to continue their dominance. Sounds like the making of an instant classic, right? Well maybe if the former Tag Champs were somebody of importance, like the Man Made Gods or The New Confederacy, instead of the BTJ. Honestly, right now Joe and Channing are both on a roll and the BTJ, well they haven't been impressive in a while.

My Prediction: Abel Channing and Machine Gun Joe get the win.

Television Title Match
Brian Banks vs Chris Avery
The only positive note I can make here is the fact that we know there is going to be a match, unlike the wasted time that was yet another Chris Avery rant. Unfortunately, I'm putting down a $1,000 bet that this match won't even start because Avery and his lackeys will take out Banks before the bell. And why am I so sure about my bet? Because it's Chris Avery.

My Prediction: Avery worms his way out of another title defense.

Shane Borderland vs Mr. Ultimo
One sounds like a Japanese anime character and the other sounds like a cheesy action hero. Both however are new additions to the WCF roster and as such, have been booked against each other to start their careers. Not much is known about either person, as is what they are capable of inside the ring.

My Prediction: I flipped a coin and Borderland came out the winner.

Ace reporter Scoops Callahan has announced that now, in addition to writing his weekly article for WCF.com, he will now be taking his talents to the microphone as he includes the world of television to his repertoire.

"People really seem to be enjoying my style of writing and I feel as though this is the next logical step," said Scoops. "So from this point forward, I shall be taking part in activities such as backstage interviews and press conferences, all as I continue to come at you with the raw voice of the people. "

Welcome readers to the fourth edition of The Weekly Scoop, and like many of you, I too am shocked that I haven't been canceled yet. Just kidding. I, of course am the one...the only...Scoops Callahan, Ace Reporter. We had a lot of things go down on the recent episode of Slam so let's dive right into the excitement.

Slam 1/3/10 Results
Shane Borderland defeated Mr. Ultimo
This match was a lot better than expected. Both new additions to the roster showed that they are capable of putting on excellent matches and I look forward to seeing a lot more from them.

Chris Avery defeated Brian Banks
All right, so I wasn't dead on with my bet and this match did in fact happen. However, as I suspected, Chris Avery had no intention on keeping this match fair and walked into Slam with a plan to screw Brian Banks out of a major opportunity. Chris Avery has once again proved that he isn't worthy of the title of Television Champion and hopefully someone brings his reign to an end soon.

The Big Time Jerks defeated Machine Gun Joe & Abel Channing
They may have had to cheat to win, but The Jerks proved to the world, and myself, that they are still a force to be reckoned with. Joe and Channing are most likely not going to let this one go, so expect a rematch to happen in the future.

Jay Price/D-Day/Doc Henry defeated Brad Kane/Troy Malenko/Johnny Reb
For all the buildup leading up to this match, it turned into one major disappointment. This match had everything that you could think of to make a PPV Main Event, let alone a Slam Main Event, but it ended too fast for anyone to actually enjoy it. And let's not overlook the fact that the match started, and ended, with a beat down. Jay Price was attacked before the match by WCF Owner Seth Lerch and the returning Rage moments before the match started, and then afterwards, the This_Is_War team beat down D-Day at the orders of Torture. What's next for the This_Is_Team and D-Day? And what about Seth and Price and this whole situation involving Shannan Lerch? Hopefully we all get the answers soon.

Now let's move onto my Top 5 Wrestlers of the Week.

Top 5 Rankings
Number 1: D-Day - Picked up the pin fall victory over Troy Malenko in the main event for his team, and then was beat down for his efforts by the This_Is_War team.

Number 2: The BTJ - Picked up an impressive victory over the team of Abel Channing and Machine Gun Joe.

Number 3: Chris Avery - Defended and retained his TV Title against Brian Banks.

Number 4: Shane Borderland - Defeated Mr. Ultimo.

Number 5: Oceb Aughion - Stood up to Chris Avery and his lackeys Tank and Shaun Jackson.

First they cause nothing but hell and chaos for months leading up to WAR and after they basically all lose at One, they're stronger than ever and taking their frustrations out on Day!? Come on! What the hell is up with that? Day didn't deserve any of that!

Answer: Apparently Torture would disagree with that last sentence. Torture was looking for a scapegoat to blame for his loss to Brad Kane, and apparently D-Day was the easiest target.

Your Question Is?: Really? Avery just makes light work of Banks but only because Jackson and Tank were there! Banks tried, but Avery had him beat because he's out numbering all of his opponents! Whats your thoughts on Avery vs Oceb? Especially that Oceb brings a numbers game to the match too, but is Avery too much to handle right now.. does he deserve the TV Championship? Does he bring ratings?

Answer: First off, as much as I hate to say this, Avery does bring ratings and draws crowds. It's been proven before that you don't have to be a fan favorite to get the big reactions, and someone with tons of charisma like Avery knows how to work a crowd. Even if it's in a negative way. Does he deserve the TV Title? That's not really for me to decide, that would be on Seth Lerch. It's also up to Seth Lerch to make sure the matches he books happen without incident, but that's a whole different discussion. As for Oceb vs Avery, well while normally I would remain neutral, I have no problem saying that I hope someone shuts up that loudmouth once and for all.

Your Question Is?: Is our leader of WCF right now, the World Champion Brad Kane worth it? His Roleplays are average and literally acts as if he has no direction at all. Thoughts on Kane leading WCF into 2011??

Answer: I'm withholding judgment on Brad Kane and his World Title reign until after his first title defense. While his efforts in the recent 6 man tag match may not have been stellar, no one knows what he'll bring to the table on a PPV stage when his World Title is on the line.

Subject Of Question: Tag Team Divisions?
Your Question Is?: Does Seth Lerch know what the hell he's doing? Can he honestly book a tag division or do we need to go back to when Creeps and Tort were running through the division. At least there was matches and story lines! Come on Scoops! Tell me what ya think of a lack luster Tag Division! Can we get Seth to book some tag team titles!?

Answer: Well as easy as it would be to criticize Seth for lackluster tag matches involving the Tag Titles, it's honestly not his fault. I do believe that he's doing the best that he can with what he has to work with. Looking at the tag division, outside of the Tag Champs and the BTJ, WCF has no formal tag teams at this time. And to just throw random singles wrestlers together to make a team to challenge for the belts is an insult to the division itself. My thinking is to just give it time and things will work out in the end.

Your Question Is?: With all of the This Is War conflict coming in the last month or so and with the problems they have had becoming the This Is War, will they accomplish more or less without D-Day since they obviously brutally attacked him denying him to join the This Is War, and what will become of D-Day with all of these injuries that has occured with the This Is War? Saying that what will happen to the United States Championship?

Answer: Well we have already seen what will happen with the US Championship as Seth Lerch has made a tournament to decide the next champion. As for what's going to become of D-Day, who knows. No one is sure of the extent of his injuries or how long he'll be gone for. As for This_Is_War, I can only see them being stronger than ever after the destruction they caused.

Tag Team Titles Match
Jay Price/Tank Reaper vs Johnny Reb/Paul Dangerous
Special Guest Referee: Seth Lerch
As I said earlier, I'm not a fan of singles wrestlers being thrown together to form teams, but technically Price and Reaper are already teammates from This_Is_War. Reaper has been a tag champion, and while Price has not, he's proven that he can hold titles in any division. On the other side of the ring, Reb may have to carry his team with Dangerous possibly still dealing with the affects of his other match. Oh, and let's not forget the wild card in all of this, Seth Lerch. Seth has issues with Reb, but even bigger issues with Price. Is he going to call this down the middle? Is he even going to let it happen at all? We'll have to wait and see.

My Prediction: Price and Reaper pull off the upset and become the new WCF Tag Team Champions.

United States Title Contendership Match
Paul Dangerous vs Troy Malenko
Despite having to wrestle in the main event, and at the same time try and retain the tag titles, Paul Dangerous is getting another chance to get singles gold around his waist. However, I'm inclined to think that Malenko will find a way to win this one.

My Prediction: Malenko wins.

United States Title Contendership Match
Doc Henry vs Austin Adams
Both men have held tag team gold in the past, but only Doc Henry has held singles gold. Also, Doc has been successful recently in singles action and I haven't seen much of Adams outside of tag matches.

My Prediction: Doc Henry wins.

United States Title Contendership Match
Jason Kash vs Bo Young
Jason Kash, apparently back in WCF for some reason, somehow found a way to get his name thrown into the mix for a US Title opportunity. Not sure how that happened, or how he got such a walkover for an opponent, but what's done is done.

My Prediction: Jason Kash wins.

United States Title Contendership Match
Brian Banks vs Adam Young
Down on his luck singles wrestler versus one half of a tag team in a match that could determine an opponent for the US Title. Really?

My Prediction: Brian Banks wins.

Television Title Match
Machine Gun Joe vs Chris Avery
I've learned not to hope for the best when I see Chris Avery's name on a WCF card. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to know what's going to happen.

My Prediction: Chris Avery wins when either/both Jackson or Tank Reaper get involved.

Oceb Aughion vs Cieran McHallan vs Ana Valentine vs Shane Borderland
In what is apparently a mandatory thing for all WCF shows, 4 individuals have been thrown together in a match. Two newcomers to WCF, Valentine and McHallan, will be up against recently victorious Shane Borderland and another newcomer that has been seen around recently, Oceb Aughion.

My Prediction: Oceb Aughion starts his reign of Turkish brand terror in WCF with a win.

Welcome readers to the fifth edition of The Weekly Scoop. I of course am Scoops Callahan, Ace Reporter and The Voice of the People. This past episode of Slam had it all: titles changing hands, debuts of new talent and a surprise return by a hall of famer. So let's start things off with a look at the results.

Slam 1/10/11 Results
Oceb Aughion vs Cieran McHallan vs Ana Valentine vs Shane Borderland ends in a draw
This match was nothing short of a C.F. (clusterf**k for those of you not hip to the lingo) from the beginning. First McHallan appeared to have been taken out when he no showed the start of the match and his locker room was found to be trashed. Then he showed up out of nowhere, only to get dismantled. Finally, to put the cherry on top, the match ended due to an apparent time limit that was never announced. Let's just hope next week's rematch featuring Valentine, Borderland and Oceb isn't such a disappointment.

Chris Avery defeated Machine Gun Joe
Really? Tell you what readers, look back at last weeks edition and read what I said about Avery's match. Now substitute Joe's name for the opponent in that match. Case closed.

Adam Young defeated Brian Banks
The real story here is Jay Price's seemingly unprovoked attack on Brian Banks before and after the match. Why did he do it? Was there some sort of backstage feud going on that nobody knew about? We may never know the truth as it looked like Banks was left broken and unconscious after Price powerbombed him off the stage. However I will do my part in trying to find out the reasons.

Jason Kash defeated Bo Young
Kash winning this match was about as predictable as Chris Avery worming his way through another title defense. Bo Young has yet to prove himself worthy a roster spot, as a singles wrestler or a tag wrestler, yet continues to be booked for some unknown reason. Hopefully we see some better competition in round two of the US Title Tournament for Mr. Kash.

Doc Henry defeated Austin Adams
Honestly, read what I said above about Kash and Young and replace their names with Doc Henry and Austin Adams.

Paul Dangerous defeated Troy Malenko
I was half tempted to write "Paul Dangerous and Jay Price defeated Troy Malenko" because that's what this match came down to. Once again Price made it his business to get involved in a match, only this time it's a bit more obvious why as he's had his issues with Troy Malenko. But many thought those issues to be over after Seth announced that he, not Gravedigger or Malenko, caused the miscarriage of his child. Could Price be seeking revenge for the loss at One? Could we see a rematch?

Jay Price and Tank Reaper defeated The Consumate Professionals (Johnny Reb and Paul Dangerous)
Reb and Dangerous were screwed. There's no other way to describe what happened to them. From the beginning of the match they were set up to lose by This_Is_WAR, who apparently now has the authority to name their members as the Special Guest Referee's. What kind of bulls**t is that? Why is no one standing up to them? Where is Seth Lerch and why isn't he controlling his company like an owner should? I'd say I hope Reb and Dangerous get a rematch soon, but something tells me that they'll only get bent over behind the wood shed once again.

Now let's move onto my Top 5 Wrestlers of the Week.

Top 5 Rankings
Number 1: Jay Price and Tank Reaper - Won the WCF Tag Team Titles from Johnny Reb and Paul Dangerous in the main event. Price also took out Brian Banks and beat down Troy Malenko.

Number 2 (Tie): Jason Kash and Doc Henry - Both won their matches on Slam to advance to Round 2 of the United States Championship Tournament.

Number 4 (tie): Paul Dangerous and Adam Young - Both won their matches on Slam to advance Round 2 of the United States Championship Tournament, however both had some "assistance".

Answer: Something tells me that Torture's plans actually involve both, however, Brad Kane is probably first on Torture and This_Is_War's list. Right now Torture is being reminded on a daily basis about the result of One and with Brad Kane as World Champion, that can only make him angrier. And an angry Torture can only mean bad things for his enemies.

After coming out impressively over Johnny Reb the way he did at One, he's proved himself a singles star. I expect him to shine in the United States Tournament and walk away with the belt. After that, if he isn't in the main event scene then someone up top has a problem with him.

Answer: That's really not a scoop, more like the opinion of Kane Hater. And believe me, I've heard a lot of similar statements sense Brad won the title. But it's obvious Seth did not want to leave his biggest Pay Per View of the year with the World Title still vacated and Kane was the easiest to pick to hold the title after his win over Torture.

Answer: As I said in my answer to an earlier question, I'm expecting Doc to shine in the United States Title Tournament. He's already proven to me that he is a rising singles star, and it's only a matter of time before he is no longer being overlooked for the World Title scene.

Question: Why is Shane Borderland so jealous of Oceb Aughion? Why is Shane Borderland so mad of Oceb Aughion's Television championship match at the next pay per view?

Answer: Simple. Borderland is a new talent that is hungry for opportunity. It's apparent that he feels he is ready for a shot at the TV Title and is jealous that someone besides him is being given the opportunity.

And finally, let's take a look at next week's Slam card.

Slam 1/17/11
Skyler Striker/Jake Keeton vs Brad Kane/Jay Price
Skyler Striker and Jake Keeton, one a hall of famer and the other the rookie sensation of 2010 that was struck with injury, are both making their returns to the WCF ring. And who are they facing? How about the WCF World Champion Brad Kane and "The Future" Jay Price. Striker stepped up and accepted Kane's open challenge this week, so this should give us a preview to what should truly be an epic match. But what about Keeton and Price? How exactly do they fit in? I'm not sure but I'm not complaining because they can only make this match better.

My Prediction: Striker and Keeton are triumphant in their returns.

Johnny Reb is going to be looking for blood when he goes up against the man that screwed him out of the tag team titles, Creeping Death. The question is, how many This_Is_WAR members are going to be at ringside to provide "moral support"?

My Prediction: Creeping Death lies, cheats and steals a win.

Doc Henry vs Paul Dangerous
Last week Paul Dangerous picked up a pin fall victory over Troy Malenko in round one of this tournament thanks to some assistance from Jay Price. As for Doc Henry, well he had an equally easy time as he faced Austin Adams. This week they should each have a tougher time trying to advance to the next round.

My Prediction: Doc Henry continues to roll.

Adam Young vs Jason Kash
Last week neither of these guys broke a sweat as Adam Young pinned Brian Banks after Jay Price laid him out and Jason Kash took quick care of Bo Young. This week things should be a little bit more interesting to watch.

My Prediction: Jason Kash advances.

Ana Valentine vs Shane Borderland vs Oceb Aughion
Last week these three were involved in a fatal four way that ended in a draw for reasons still unknown. This week a rematch will occur, minus Cieran McHallan (again for reasons unknown). Hopefully with one less person this will look more like a match and less like a C.F.

My Prediction: Oceb Aughion

Tank Reaper vs Shaun Jackson vs Chris Avery
No comment.

My Prediction: Half the audience will use this time to go to the restroom and then get snacks. The other half will be on their phones telling their friends how much they hate Chris Avery.
