I am a fucking machine fueled by the past
A memory's a memory until it's a fact
I can bury the hatchet and let some shit go
But I got too many grudges to hold!
A memory's a memory until it's a fact
I can bury the hatchet and let some shit go
But I got too many grudges to hold!
We start off tonight in the hotel room of one Reckless Jack. He is dressed in workout clothes. He is pacing around the room, thinking quietly to himself, probably over many things. As some people as know, his wife was driven to suicide not all that long ago due to his commitment to the wrestling world, just taking a toll on all those who would have loved him in the past. Anymore, all he has is wrestling. He has no family, no outside life outside of a few friends here and there. Once you get down to it, Reckless Jack is the loner of loners. His opponent at WCF’s Aftermath is quite the opposite of that. Torture is a man loved by many, hated by few. But even his haters have a soft spot for him. To Reckless Jack though, it tears him up inside seeing a man who is so loved by the crowd. Of course, Reckless Jack was once a semi popular wrestler until he developed paranoia. He thought everyone was out to screw him over, no matter who is was. This rubbed people the wrong way and Reckless Jack was labeled as a guy who did things his way, regardless of what the owner thought of his actions. An example of Reckless Jack only looking out for himself is recently when he was fired from WCF for “Immature Misconduct Backstage” over a repeated amount of time. But now he looks to be over the problems that have plagued him in the past. His obsession over being the best is what brought him back to WCF. His obsession with the World Title is what made him beg Seth Lerch for his job back. His obsession with the World Title is what made everyone hate him regardless who it was. Reckless Jack’s closest friends don’t dare go near him anymore because they fear that he will lash out at them like he did his wife. Once Reckless Jack lost the WCF World Title back in April, he snapped. It forced him to become Brad Wallace but he quickly realized he didn’t get to the top by playing it safe. Not by a long shot, he got to the top by being an overall maniac in the ring. Torture thinks he knows the meaning of the word “Hardcore” but at Aftermath, perhaps Reckless Jack will show Torture a whole new meaning of “Hardcore.” As we continue to watch Reckless Jack pace about, what has to be going through his mind besides getting the World Title back and maybe even ending Torture’s career for good.
Reckless Jack has stopped his pacing and started to work out in his room. Nothing too major, just some push ups and that sort of thing. A slight work out for a wrestler if you will. After his push ups, he starts to do some hindu squats. Anyone who has done them know that they are a bitch to do, but not for a wrestler like Reckless Jack who uses his legs a lot in a match. Whether it be kicking an opponent or using them to fly through the air with a high impact move. As he finishes those up, he stands up in a full up right position. He does some jumping jacks as he counts to himself.
Reckless Jack: One, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, nine, ten…
As you can tell, it will go on for a while, until he finally gets to one hundred. He stops with the exercising as he pops in a video tape of Torture in a Hardcore Match. Scouting his foe as it would seem. Quite a good idea though this way he knows what to expect, unless Torture goes balls out and busts out some shit no one has ever seen before. Reckless Jack watches the tape intently as he makes mental notes of what Torture does then and where. When the first match is over, he shuts the tape off and heads off to the bathroom. On coming back out, he has switched into more appropriate attire for heading off out of the hotel room. Now he has on a nice pair of pants and a dress shirt. Reckless Jack grabs his set of keys before opening the hotel room door and exiting. He locks the door up as he puts the room key into his pocket. He brings out his car keys and starts to walk down the hallway. Whistling a tune, he enters the parking garage, looking for his car. Once he gets to it, we notice it actually kind of an old beat up car. Looks to be a model from the early nineties. He enters the vehicle as we notice the interior is very nice. Perhaps Reckless Jack isn’t as cheap as we would have thought upon first glance at the car. He starts and backs out of his parking spot before following the way out of the structure. Once he is out on the open streets, he puts a CD on. We hear the song in the back ground is “30/30-150” by Stone Sour.
Reckless Jack: Only a couple of days away now Torture. Only a couple of more days until you meet the man who will end your title reign oh so soon. We both know that the World Title means everything to us now. You have no family as they appeared to be murdered in an act of betrayal as my family drifted away from me because of my actions. Torture, we have more in common then what you think. Both of us have scaled to the top of the WCF Mountain. We have both defied all the odds and won that belt. We both have family issues and that sort of shit. But in those similarities we have many more differences.
Take the way you won the title against JJ Biggs. You have him on a one on one match with no one else to worry about. I had to deal with Creeping Death and Logan at the same damn time. Which win is more impressive? Mine by a long shot. You just don’t beat two guys like that through pure luck. I won with skill, heart and determination. You on the other hand, the title was basically given to you on a silver platter going against JJ Biggs. The only reason why I lost to JJ Biggs a few weeks ago was that I was getting fired and I had to honor the time honored tradition of losing on the way out.
Another difference is that you knew of your opponent for the Pay Per View weeks ahead of time. I had to wait for some shitty ass Number One Contendership stuff get over with the week before the Pay Per View before I knew who I had to face. Bobby Cairo had me beat that night. He had me in the middle of the ring, waiting to tap out to whatever hold he had me in. But as fate would have it, luck was on my side as I hit him with a chair and lost the match, but the not the belt. While in your first defense, you went against Creeping Death in which it ended in a disqualification because of myself running in and hitting him with a chair. Repeatedly I may add. And all you could do is just watch because you were fucking powerless to do a damn thing. You knew if you laid a single finger on me, you would have been suspended for Aftermath, thus giving me the title no matter what.
You see Torture, I sometimes contradict myself. Everyone does most of the time anymore. But I noticed that you like to poke fun of my name. Whether it be Careless Jack, Hypocrite Jack, or whatever else your forth grade mind has planned. Name calling doesn’t get you anywhere in wrestling Torture. You can sit there and call me Retarded Jack, Jackass Jack or whatever you have in that little mind of yours. You can just fucking sit there and poke fun and meaningless shit.
I do, however, find it amusing that this will all end in a Hardcore match. A match you claim you are the master of. Being the longest reigning Hardcore Champion of all time doesn’t mean shit at this level… at all. Hell, I could bring up the fact I was the first WCF Cruiserweight Champion but it doesn’t mean shit. I could bring up the fact I pinned Creeping Death a few months ago and it doesn’t mean shit right now. I could even bring up the fact that I was winning World Titles elsewhere when you were still in the Hardcore Division in WCF, CWF or KWA. You can bring up your winning streak. You can tell me that you are what, 66-0 in singles matches. That doesn’t mean anything until you step foot in the ring each time out, proving yourself to the fans, to the boys in the back and most of all, proving to yourself you are that damn cool.
But back to this whole Hardcore situation. Do you know why this was made a Hardcore Match? Because I have the advantage in a Hardcore situation over you. Believe it or not, I am the better Hardcore Wrestler and the better overall Wrestler regardless of what that belt over your shoulder says. I am better then you, I am better then Creeping Death and I am sure as hell better then Logan himself. You will never attain the level that Logan or myself is at. Even Creeping Death for that matter. We have all bled, cried, and sweated to where we are today. I have given up my life for this business. I gave up a family for this business. I nearly died for this business. I will be damned if I give up this business because Torture was able to beat Reckless Jack at Aftermath. I will be damned if another loss is going to keep me down and out like it used it.
You see Torture, a while ago, like I said before, I was selfish. All I cared about was Reckless Jack getting over at anyone’s expense. But after a few ass kickings later, I found myself humbled, something you have yet to experience. Whether I win or lose at Aftermath Torture, you will be a changed man. You will be able to say to people you know, I was in the ring with Reckless Jack. A man who beat my ass and I beat his back for that one night. Torture, after I am through with you and the pain I can inflict on the human body after a couple of years, you will never be the same. You will never look at a chair the same way. This is all simple Torture. I’ll even say it slow for you so your little fourth grade mind can comprehend what I am saying to you. I will beat you, I will harm you, I will do anything that the law allows to beat you at Aftermath. Win or lose, you will and I repeat like the many times before, you will never be the same wrestler again.
Reckless Jack continues to drive as we fade out.
