Danny Vice is seen lying across his weightlifting bench in San Diego at his home gym. His brother Jimmy, is spotting, but the lack of sweat on either of their "Spring Break 2000" tanktops shows they haven't really been lifting all that long. These workout sessions they have usually are the best time for the two to reflect on their lives, and more importantly, discuss strategy for Danny's upcoming match.
Jimmy Vice: You see this bullshit flying out of Team Xtreme's mouths all week?
Danny doesn't respond as he finishes his final three repetitions. He sets the bar on the rack and sits up, wipes his brow, and turns to his brother.
Danny Vice: You know I focus on my breathing during my lifts, but what did you say?
Jimmy Vice: The bullshit that Team Xtreme has been saying all week. They've been running their mouths about you and Thunder not being that talented. Well, at least (mocking tone) "the Xtreme One" has been.
Danny Vice: Ya, I read the transcripts from their little promos they cut on Thunder and I. The Violent One seems to respect Thunder and I, which is probably a good idea since we've held five titles between the two of us in the short time we've been here. The Xtreme kid has no idea what he's talking about. He sounds just like every other guy that comes through the WCF and is out the door before anyone even realized who he was. Just a brief, and fleeting moment of victory, then poof!
Jimmy Vice: Actually, he reminds me a lot of The Miz. Talent wise and how boring it is to hear him speak.
That comparison is so correct that it actually causes Danny to laugh.
Danny Vice: And what's this talk about the competition supposed to be getting harder as the progress, and not easier? Was that some weak and unoriginal allusion to Thunder and I not having the same level of talent as the last team they faced. The Alliance of Violence or something like that?
Jimmy Vice: Rhyming in your tag team name is very creative. It sounds like a bad WCW team. And I think that it was in fact a weak and unoriginal dig at you and Thunder. It sounds so familiar.
Danny Vice: I know. Some other people have said that about The Vagrant before. Like Outcast. And what happened to Outcast?
Jimmy Vice: Pinned in the center of the ring. 1. 2. 3.
Danny Vice: And Chino?
Jimmy Vice: 1. 2. 3.
Danny Vice: Drake Kencedro? Davey Ortega? Conrad Howell?
Jimmy Vice: 1. 2. 3. 1. 2. 3. 1. 2. 3. You know that Team Xtreme is going to counter with something like "well you've never had to meet us before so you better be expecting blah blah blah."
Danny Vice: Absolutely. And it seems to me I have heard plenty of people say that "Danny Vice is too easy" or "this must be a joke" or "I'm gonna crush you cuz I'm so crazy and extreme that my real name is unimportant, I'll just go by The Xtreme One"...
Jimmy Vice: You know another Xtreme One?
Danny Vice: No Jimmy, but you're ruining my flow right now. Regardless, I'm just saying I'm tired of the same non-stop babble from my opponents. It gets old after a while.
Jimmy Vice: What about Thunder, you think you can trust him?
Danny Vice: Not at all, but I guess I don't have a choice, do I? Let's get some sqauts in, I want to take an early flight out in the morning and still need to get some sleep.
The brothers head over to the free weights and begin adding weight as the camera fades out.
