Jay Price: Precisely. Now then..
The camera pans to left as Price walks into the shot, a slight grin on his face.
Jay Price:..how about we get started.
The camera slowly pans to the side as the sounds of fleshing hitting flesh repeatedly can be heard, drowning out the cries of pain coming from Rick. As the scene fades out a rather menacing laugh can be heard.
The scene slowly fades back in as the viewer is again treated to the sounds of flesh hitting flesh as occasional cries of pain can be heard coming from Rick. The camera slowly pans back to the right to reveal Jay Price sitting comfortably on the beat-up old couch, his feet propped up on a coffee table with the Elite Title and People's Title draped casually over each shoulder, beside a very nervous looking Cameraman Rick. The camera pans off to the side where a flat screen television has been mounted on the wall and is currently playing the footage from the "press conference" that Price had thrown recently. The same press conference where Cameraman Rick learned why you don't cross Jay Price. As the savage beating continues to play on Rick turns his head away to avoid reliving the experience, but Price grips hold of his shoulder.
Jay Price: No, no Rick, don't turn your head just quite yet. We haven't even gotten to the good part yet.
Up on the screen Price is seen walking over and delivering a jumping cutter to an already beaten and bloodied Rick.
Jay Price: What do you say Rick? Should we see that one again?
Price produces a remote control and rewinds the scene over and over again as Rick is forced to watch. Price even slows it down so Rick can watch the impact of his face meeting the carpeted floor. After tormenting the poor man for several more minutes, Price finally shuts off the television and casually tosses the remote off to the side. He starts to polish the nameplate on his Elite Title when Rick decides to speak up.
Cameraman Rick: So did you really do all of this just for a promo? Or do you have some other sick plans?
Jay Price: Aww, come on now Ricky. Just because I roughed you up a little bit doesn't mean you need to worry about me turning into Oblivion or Greenfever and going all crazy on you. The days of senseless acts of violence are over for Jay Price.
Cameraman Rick: Kind of hard to believe that with this giant bandage on the back of my head and the bruised ribs in my chest.
Jay Price: I said the days of senseless acts of violence were over. That day you failed to listen to my orders and you needed to be taught a valuable lesson. There is a great difference between the two Rick.
Cameraman Rick: Yeah, so about this promo...
Jay Price: Work, work, work, is that all you WCF personnel ever think of? Very well, yes, I did bring you here to be the interviewer. As I alluded to earlier, Seth has decided for the time being that I should look elsewhere for my interviewing needs. Something about Hank Brown's insurance policy becoming too much for him to pay. I offered to help out with the costs but Lerch just insisted that I leave him be. So that brought me to you Rick. You've worked side by side with Hank now for quite some time so I'm sure you know how to do one of these things.
Cameraman Rick: I'm really just a cameraman, I don't have a lot of experience wit...
Jay Price: Nonsense, it's a lot easier than you think. In fact...
Price reaches into his jeans pocket as Rick slowly slides off, fearing the worst. Price sees this and chuckles. He then pulls out a couple of index cards with writing on them.
Jay Price: Just like Hank, scared of your own goddamn shadow. Here, I took the liberty of writing out a series of questions that you are going to ask me. Just read exactly what's written down and we'll get through this perfectly. Sound good?
Cameraman Rick slowly nods his head.
Jay Price: Good. Now let's get started.
Rick looks down at the cards and pulls one at random.
Cameraman Rick: With all of the recent newcomers to the WCF and the success that they have achieved, do you at all feel threatened?
Jay Price: Normally when one thinks of an influx of talented newcomers a sense of fear is brought on. Most will feel threatened, especially those in the top spot, and begin to worry that their status is in jeopardy. However here in WCF, nobody really should feel the need to be afraid of the so called "new blood". I mean honestly Rick, why should we fear the likes of Russle Trombone...Captain Punishment...or Homeless Dan? As much as I hate to say it, I'd be more worried about Logan..(Price shudders at his own mentioning of his nemesis)..trying to take my spot at the top of the WCF ladder. Next question.
Rick pulls out another card at random.
Cameraman Rick: A lot of media focus has been put on Allen Giuliano lately due to him announcing that the World Title will be defended in the War Match and that he will be retiring thereafter. Do you feel as though he's getting too much attention? That maybe someone else, possibly you, should be getting equal attention.
Jay Price: Excellent question Rick, you're catching on quite quickly. As for Slickie T, the media darling of WCF, I say let him have the spotlight all he wants going into WAR. Let him be gracing the cover of Cosmo or Playgirl. Let him appear on late night talk shows or commercials, or whatever else he does to pander to the masses. He's put in his time over the years and with his retirement announcement he deserves to have the light shine on him once more.
But once that bell rings to start the War Match, all the spotlights are going to be focusing on one individual, and one individual alone Rick..and that's Jay Price. Everyone wants to talk about the dark horses and the favorites, but in the backs of their minds they know that only one person is going to win this match..and that's Jay Price. I said it once and I'll say it again for everyone's benefit: I made War VIII my own personal highlight reel. I'm going to make War IX my own personal bitch. Now, let's go with one last question.
This time Rick shuffles through the cards, reading each one. He sees one in particular that catches his eye.
Cameraman Rick: Last year along with Slickie T there was one other that helped make War VIII so special. How do you figure Logan will factor into this years War Match.
Jay Price: Logan won't see the end of the match.
Cameraman Rick: Care to elaborate?
Jay Price: I'm going to put him out once and for all Rick. I'm going to do everything in my power to make sure that Logan will never wrestle again.
Price lowers his feet to the ground and leans in for effect.
Jay Price: Do I need to make it any clearer?
Cameraman Rick: No, I got you loud and clear Jay.
Price leans back in the couch and puts his feet back up on the table.
Jay Price: Good. Now let me finish by addressing WCF as a whole. Camera guy get over here.
The cameraman moves over until he's standing directly in front of Price.
Jay Price: Last year at WAR I had one focus...eliminations. I put all of my time and energy into making sure I broke that fucking record that I didn't even take the time to think that I might just have a shot at actually winning the damn match. This year you won't have the same luck. I could go out there and not record a single elimination and I wouldn't give a flying fuck. The only thing my mind is set on is walking out of WAR with the WCF World Heavyweight Title wrapped around my waist as each and everyone of you look on in awe.
The Era Of Price will finally be born on Monday night WCF, and I suggest you all fall in or get the fuck out of my way.
The camera pans to left as Price walks into the shot, a slight grin on his face.

To Be Continued...now
