The sellout crowd at Dolphin's Stadium is standing on their feet, with their hands across their chest, as they sing along to the American National Anthem. It's a beautiful day for baseball as the temperature is at a comfortable eighty-one degrees. The sun is shining easily as there isn't a visible cloud in the sky. The Florida Marlins players along with the Washington National players are standing along the foul lines as a local representative continues singing the Anthem. On the last verse, the crowd erupts into cheers and applauds.
After the Anthem ends, all of the players hurry back to their dugouts. Some of them do some last minute stretches as the game is about to begin in a few moments. The crowd is now singing along to a song that is playing throughout the stadium. The song gradually begins to fade as does the singing and cheering of the audience. Once the stadium is quiet enough, a man comes on the speaker system throughout the stadium.
Ladies and gentlemen, we have a wonderful treat for all of you, tonight. We have a special person here to throw out the ceremonial first pitch for this game. He's given a lot of his time and money to charities across Miami and he's represented us, very well. He's a professional wrestler who has had a fantastic career and he doesn't show any signs of slowing up. I'm sure most of you know who I'm talking about. Fans, welcome JJ Biggs to the pitcher's mound as he will be tossing the ceremonial first pitch to the Marlin's slugging third baseman Miguel Cabrera.
The fans in the stadium cheer as JJ Biggs steps out of the Florida Marlins' dugout. He is wearing a Florida baseball cap along with his own customized Marlins baseball jersey. He waves to the crowd with his right hand as he holds the baseball in his left hand. Miguel Cabrera kneels down behind the plate as JJ reaches the pitcher's mound. Moments later, he tosses the baseball towards home plate and Miguel Cabrera catches it. He meets JJ Biggs halfway between the mound and home plate as they shake hands. JJ waves to the crowd once more as he walks off the field and disappears back in the Florida Marlins dugout.
JJ Biggs goes down the steps in the dugout into the Marlins' locker room. He walks past a few players who are making their way over to the dugout. As he's walking through the locker room, he is stopped by WCF's interviewer, Hank Brown.
JJ Biggs: What are you doing here? Slam is tomorrow, shouldn't you be in Philadelphia getting ready for that?
Hank Brown: I'll get there soon enough. I wanted to make my way out to Miami and catch an interview with you. It's rare when I don't interview new members to the WCF, so I thought this was just as good of a chance as any.
JJ Biggs: Oh. Well, I have to go to the Gym for a little bit, so you're going to need to hurry this little interview up.
Hank Brown: Well, last week was a tough loss against Jack of Blades and Ace. It would have been a nice win as you would have had a shot at the Television Title. However, you'll get Jack of Blades in the ring again at this upcoming Slam, but it will be in tag team fashion instead. What are your thoughts?
JJ Biggs: It's funny. This is supposed to be a tag team match, but the way things are turning out it's more like two single's matches, just taking place in one ring, at one time. All week my partner for this match, Ellis, has been exchanging words with Jack of Blades. It's so heated between those two that you may as well say that Ace and myself aren't even involved in this match. That's cool, though. I'll let Ellis dismantle Jack while I beat the hell out of Ace.
Hank Brown: Are you confident that you can hold your own against Ace?
JJ Biggs: Confident? Ace is nothing. I've said it before and I'll say it again, I have no idea how Ace got a contract with the WCF. Honesty, I don't care. I'll just go out to the ring and prove that my loss last week was just a bad week. I'll prove to everybody that even though I'm starting to age, I am still a dominating force in the wrestling ring.
Hank Brown: I see. Well, I believe that's all I have to ask you. I'll see you at Slam tomorrow.
JJ nods as he walks past Hank Brown and exits the locker room.
