(OOC Note: Alastair at some parts is acting kayfabe. Still has a touch of character though. Enjoy!)
The scene opens up with David Alastair at an airport at an undisclosed location. His appearance is rather normal, besides a pair of sunglasses covering his purple eyes and a New York Mets baseball cap.
Tired due to the jetlag, he sighs with relief while standing before the terminal....
David: Well, it's nice to be back in my own country again. That time in Japan really whipped me up into shape. Perhaps those death matches did me a favor along with that brutal training. Ehhh...my mentor would be displeased for what have been doing over there though...
--------------------------------------------
A couple moments later, David is at the luggage pickup. Impulses and memories race through his mind. Mainly visions of his late wife, Tasha...
---------------------------------------------
Her death was unexpected, a product of murder. Alastair remembers it like it was yesterday. Coming home from a job interview, he saw that the house was broken into. Signs of a struggle. His dead wife lying before him, her blood staining the beautiful wooden floor of the wonderful house they purchased together.
Her death almost shattered him. He turned to alcohol, anti-depressants, the works. The only thing that kept him alive was his daughter, Allison. The only remnant of his lost love left in this world.
He sought help from his uncle, who was like a father to him. After his parents were killed while on a trip of Israel. His uncle, a rabbi, took him in and "repaired" him. Turning David into a fully functional cog in the machine which is society and culture. His uncle recommended someone in Japan. Someone the old rabbit knew for her undying kindness and compassion for life itself.
A year later from spending time with his mentor, he came back. His daughter had been living with his uncle, and hoped to visit her after his debut match at "Payback".
--------------------------------------------------------
Finally, he snapped back into reality when someone tapped his shoulder. The tapping was from an attractive, Japanese woman, with short black hair put up into a ponytail. She sported the see-through sunglasses, along with a plain grey sweatshirt, a pair of jeans, and white and pink Vans shoes. David looked toward her, slightly confused...
David: Is there a problem, ma'am?
The woman smiled and replied.
Woman: No! No, not at all, Mr. Alastair. I've been a fan of yours for quite some time. They say that you're a part of the WCF now...
David blinked.
David: A fan?
----------------------------------------
While wrestling in Japan, Alastair played the "tormented, paranoid Messiah" gimmick just as he is doing now. Somehow, through all the constant heat and jeers, he must've gotten a small fanbase. The western concept of a Jewish Messiah brought some controversy to the character he was portraying.
-----------------------------------------
The woman nodded.
Woman: Not just any fan. A fellow wrestler. By the way, I'm the "Incredible" Kyoko Iwamoto. It is a pleasure to finally meet you. You have to excuse me though, I still have to get used to the...uh..."slang" that you use here in America.
David shrugged his shoulders.
David: Ah, it's nothing. You'll get a hang of it sooner or later. So, what are you doing here anyways? If I may ask?
Kyoko: I came to see what this WCF is like. This "Payback" pay-per-view I hear is quite interesting. Especially your debut against this "Ripper" person and the Hardcore championship match...
David nodded in agreement.
David: Yeah, I'm pretty hyped. The crazy promos, this match with the Ripper, and the other matches composing of some future co-workers...
----------------------------------
Just then, his cell phone rings. It's an unrecognizable number, to which David picks up anyways. Some strange voice echoed from the other end....
-----------------------------------
Voice: At 'Payback', David Alastair, will face a hatred unparalleled by any other.
David: What are you talking about? Who is this?
Voice: You will know this Sunday, David Alastair. You will know in due time...
Suddenly, a dial tone.
------------------------------------
David put his phone back into his pocket and swishes a hand through his hair....
Kyoko blinked in confusion.
Kyoko: Who was that?
David staggered back a few steps, but then shook it off.
David: No clue. It's just...strange. I just don't know...
--------------------------------------
A few moments later, the two find themselves walking out of the airport, looking a taxi to take them to their common destination...
While they were waiting, Alastair got to thinking.
David (in thought): Who could that be? Ripper? Someone else? I wonder....
----------------------------------------
Just as Kyoko and David hop into a yellow taxi cab, the camera fades to black...
