So...
As the new guy that has just walked in the door, I thought I'd share that perspective... The good and the bad... What attracted me to this federation and what I think could be improved upon.
#1 - I love the fact that the website is bare bones. There's not a whole lot of flash, but I don't believe people join e-feds for the banners and things like that. It could be laid out a little better aesthetically, but it's very pleasing to not be bombarded with images and blinking garbage on the home page.
#2 - I love the "of the week" listings. Why don't more feds do that?
#3 - What happened to the guy that was doing rankings? Get those suckers going again. I'd be happy to compile the information if it would actually be used, but I've not no skill in website design to make it look pretty.
#4 - There's a chat box. Those are always good.
#5 - No pic bases... Hmm... I can see where that would be good because it encourages creativity. I can also see where that might be bad because it doesn't provide as much of a reference point.
#6 - Might consider devising a formula for grading RPs. Divide it into categories and allot points for each one. Creates less ambiguity and hurt feelings. Also helps people understand where they need to improve.
#7 - Where do I sign up to be a match writer? I'm good for one per show. Of course, I signed up to be a wrestler, but I always feel like the owners are running a free service for the rest of us, so I ought to help out a little bit.
#8 - Love that we're required to provide some common moves. Makes it a hell of a lot easier to write matches. Some federations don't even do that. It's ridiculous.

You can sign up to write a match on the OOC Forums. Reply with what match you want to write. You should know that this place is low budget in story as it should show that by the website. No big paydays, no big bank accounts unless you happen to be one of the millions to have millions cause of daddy. Storybook rps aren't needed here, everyone prefers simple enough rps to actually read without sitting for 40 minutes reading your life story. These are things I learned coming into WCF so I figured to pass them onto you...Welcome aboard man, hope you got skillz, be nice to have another skillful guy on the roster.

Unfortunately I believe in a lot of cases people DO join for things like banners and the website and yada yada.. but those feds tend to be super serious and I try to keep this as close to a pasttime instead of a job as possible. Glad you mostly like it though! 2. Good question! 3. He does it every week! He makes a new ladder each time though, so go to the very end of the thread for the newest one. 4. Haha, that chatbox DOES cause trouble sometimes... 5. Yeahh I actually really dislike pic bases. I don't care if people use them in their banners they make or anything like that but its not something I'd like to use. Like you said, its not as creative but also the pics really don't reflect the ewrestler accurately, and if I book a match between a guy with an Austin pic base and a Cena pic base or something, I don't want people to in their heads think of it as if its Austin vs Cena. I want people to think about the wrestling characters from here. 6. If I did that, I don't think I'd reveal who-scored-what to anyone, though. Making an overall scoring thing to show people what to shoot for might be a good idea though actually, yes. 7. You already found that! Thanks. 8. Other feds don't do that, really? Damn.

Eh, I don't like the points thing... I go for overall effect... *Shrug.* They're just observations. Stuff that I've experienced with other feds that was interesting/helpful. I'n understand the desire for folks to not turn themselves into teachers, grading roleplays as if they were homework assignments. That sort of method would work better for a federation that operated on only one roleplay per week.

I was part of a federation that did grading for RPs, but it was only in their "minor league" fed. We had a HUGE roster and there were only so many that were booked in the main fed and the lower card guys kind of had a fed of their own with their own champions, RPs of the Week, etc., and the guys in the higher fed would volunteer to be RP Raters and give grades to help the guys try to get into the main fed. It was kind of like a ladder system and if you weren't cutting it in the main fed, then you would be sent back down to the minor fed and vice versa. Interesting concept but got a little messy when guys that got "sent down" thought they were doing just fine.

Yeah a perfect setup really. The Minor League and Major League system. I like that shit, have only tried it once and it didn't last long. I think that has to do with alot of people who fed want to believe they can truly be the best and can't notice errors in their styles or characters. Everyone wants their characters to be enjoyed and well liked, the point of rping is to get people to read your writing, hear your story and take on the matter at hand. Though a great system, not one I could see working for too long in the E-Fed World. I would love and welcome it as I've been on a Main Roster and then dropped to a secondary Minor League...Made it more fun and made me work harder...Then I didn't want to leave the Minor League...
