Ecks~
Batman. Dead.
There went years of therapy, there went years of work, hard work, stalking, learning to stop being afraid of jumping between buildings and learning how treat injuries. As imagines, Ecks was quite upset by this. Beyond upset. They wouldn't let her out of the house for three days after the Incident, keeping her on suicide watch, as was so extreme her apparent depression. And she was, but not quite suicidal yet. Just a little less than concerned by mortality.
Now back in Gotham for a quick packing of her possessions to move somewhere 'safer', it was more of a mourning procession. Having things to make one happy was not what entertained Ecks, living in good conditions and sleeping safely was, at the moment, not at all a good thing. Her mind was hell, in peril of insanity. What was the rush, what the spark for life was GETTING what she wanted, rather than having it handed.
And what better way to cheer up a depressed youngster than with a shopping trip...of sorts. It certainly looked energetic, the slim black shadow skipping across the side of one of Gotham's pricier shops, for the overly privileged children of brash and cunning businessmen and snooty wives. Toys of the kind regular kids would probably bee too shy to even touch, but then again, even the snootiest kid still had to have some love for teddy bears. Overpriced ones with realistic fur. A window and a puff of smoke later, she was in, and the security cameras were on loop. Now she just had to be very careful and find something...Something, anything, really to keep her distracted from what a horrible place this world was now, without a pointy eared...
Pinatas, perfect. There was a herd of ornate pinatas, some hanging decoratively from the ceiling, others placed just right to make some odd arrangement. They were strangely detailed, overly decorated. Ecks snorted and inched closer, keeping her senses out, looking for one that would be just perfect to destroy, then dropped and hid among them.
Crap.
Something wasn't quite right.
