PART THREE
(The Man concealed in Shadows is seen sitting on his desk polishing his desk once again. He takes off his ski mask, and lays it on his desk as he points the gun into mouth.)
Tell them….I’m sorry…
(As the trigger is pulled, the scene quickly switches to Wreck standing outside the police station, smoking. As he is about to throw his cigarette on the ground, he looks at it and tilts his head. He then drops the cigarette and begins walking quickly towards the crime scene. The 2 detectives come from the Police Station and chase after him.)
Spencer: Gaw dahmit Weck, stahp!
Brown: Wreck! Don’t do anything stupid! Just stop running!
(He begins to run faster and faster. The scene becomes a blur of running, screaming and even some sadistic laughter. Out of breath, Wreck finally reaches the crime scene. He bends down and examines the ash burns on the sidewalk. A slow, mechanical humming sound is heard as Wreck looks up. He notices the bank security cameras capture everything from all angles. He quickly jumps up only to be taken down by Detective Brown.)
Brown: What the hell were you thinking!?
Wreck: EVIDENCE I HAVE EVIDENCE!
Brown: What?
Wreck: I have proof I didn’t do it! Look….
(Wreck points to the security camera and Brown looks up in shock. He then looks down at Wreck and they finally meet eye to eye. Brown then walks into the bank without saying a word.)
PART FOUR
(Brown, Wreck and Spencer are all sitting in the Viewing Room along with a CSI technician. They pop in the Bank Security tape and watch.)
CSI Tech.: Now, this is 14 minutes before the murder. This is where Mr. Lawson assaults our suspects….
(He then fast forwards.)
CSI Tech.: This is where Wreck should be coming in and killing them, but he isn’t…
(A man dressed in baggy black pants and a tight black shirt walks over. He seems to be wearing a hat which covers most of his face. He cups his hand and yells at the 2 boys, who then walk over to him. They converse for about a minute until the man with the hat drops something. One of the boys bends to pick it up and the man pistol whips him in the back of the head. He then shoots the silenced pistol at the other boy’s stomach. He then begins to shoot them again and again. And again. And again. He shoots until the clip runs out. And then he shoots some more. He finally bends down and takes out Wreck’s wallet from one of the bodies, and throws it.)
Brown: He..he….he didn’t do it….
(Spencer and Wreck sit in disbelief and don’t say a word. The CSI Tech then brings their attention to a nearby computer screen.)
CSI Tech.: I’ve enhanced his face, and we now have an identity. His name is Evan Torvald. He has a pistol registered to his name; The same which fired the bullets that killed them.
Brown: Let’s get him.
PART FIVE
(The scene cuts to showing Brown and Spencer outside of Torvald’s apartment. They have the S.W.A.T team assembled and ready to move in.)
Spencer: Move in on my count. Alpha, move through windows. Delta, stay with me.
(Spencer nods to Brown as they both knock on the door.)
Brown: Evan Torvald, this is the police. Open up!
Spencer: Torvald, open NOW!
(Spencer speaks into the radio.)
Spencer: ALPHA, GO! DELTA IS MOVING IN!
(5 SWAT men smash in through Torvald’s windows as Delta busts down the door and moves in looking for Torvald.)
SWAT Agent: I got something!
(Spencer runs into the room to see a body lying on a desk. Dead.)
Spencer: He killed himself….
Brown: God dammit…
(Spencer then throws a vase across the room.)
Spencer: We chased the wrong fucking guy the WHOLE GOD DAMN TIME! We could have had him! FUCKIN’….
Brown: I know Spence, I know.
(The scene then fades out, showing Wreck walking to his car and driving back to WCF Headquarters.)
