Ah, today is Sunday, the day of rest for most, but not for a wrestler who is hoping to make it big. Today is the day of WCF’s Till Death Do Us Apart, the second big PPV since WCF has made the comeback. In what appears to be a loaded card, there is a huge main event that unifies three world titles into one. The KWA, XCW, and WCF titles are all being put up in a triple threat match that features three of the best wrestlers WCF has to offer. Creeping Death the KWA World Champion, Reckless Jack the XCW World Champion and finally Logan, the WCF World Champion. These three men will dual until they can no longer wrestle. Once one of them gets pinned or submits, the match is over and we will have a true World Champion in WCF. The KWA and XCW are gone for good after this match tonight. Those two titles shall be placed in the annals of history where they should be placed. But the real question of the matter is who is going to walk away with this match? Will it be Creeping Death who was the final KWA Champion, will it be Reckless Jack who was the final XCW Champion or will it be Logan, the current WCF Champion.
We have all seen what has gone on this week between Logan and Reckless Jack. The two have exchanged many words and threats all week long. Logan has claimed that he is the daddy of WCF a couple of times while Reckless Jack has claimed that he will take the so called daddy out of the wrestling business once and for all. Recently, Reckless Jack gave an interview with Hank Brown that we saw a couple of days ago. Reckless Jack talked like a man who wanted to beat Logan tonight. Unlike Creeping Death who has all but seemingly punked out of the match. That is not important though. Creeping Death has shown us before that he can and will speak whenever he wants to. However, with the show drawing nearer the ever before, what is going through the mind of the young Reckless Jack? Is he thinking about his family or the title like Logan did? Will Reckless Jack choose the title over his family or will he rather have his family? Like this has been said many times this week, only time will tell.
But now though, Reckless Jack is nearing the WCF arena for a pre-show press conference and meet and greet with some of the fans that WCF has to offer. So let’s see how the man is doing thus far on his journey to the WCF arena with his family who will be sitting at ringside, watching him make his career as a winner or just another bitch.
We are now in a car with Reckless Jack and his family. His wife Lucy and his five year old son, Chris. There is a faint sound of music in the background, seems to be Marylin Manson’s cover of “Personal Jesus.” There isn’t much being said in the car, just a tad bit of humming from Chris. Chris is a very pale child. He has blonde hair like his father, but he just looks different otherwise. Chris is wearing a pair of overalls and a Sponge Bob shirt underneath it. Reckless Jack looks back at him to see what he is doing. When Jack sees that he is playing a Gameboy with headphones on, he smiles. Then he goes back to concentrating on the road. Then we see that Lucy is wearing a Reckless Jack shirt and blue jeans. She is reading a magazine, looks to be “People.” Then we notice that Reckless Jack is already to wrestle even though the match isn’t for a few hours. He takes a deep breath as they finally arrive at the WCF arena. They get the parking spot that wrestlers and staff get. He turns the car off as they all get out. Reckless Jack sticks the keys in his pocket. Lucy holds Chris’s hand as they walk towards Jack. Lucy gives Jack and hug and a kiss. Chris does not want to hug his old man at the moment.
Reckless Jack: What is wrong little man?
Chris: I wanna go backstage with you!
Chris starts to pout and get that look of disappointment on his face. Jack sighs as he gets down on one knee. He rubs Chris’s hair.
Reckless Jack: You know I would love to have both of you back there with me, but there is a rule saying I can’t do that. Sorry buddy, but that is the way things go sometimes. I tell you what, after the show, we go get some ice cream. How does that sound?
Chris reluctantly nods his head up and down. The two then hug as Reckless Jack gets back to a vertical base. All three of them wave as Reckless Jack opens up the trunk. He pulls out a bag and grabs the XCW World Title as well. He shuts the trunk and locks the car. He starts to walk as a few marks see him. They start to boo, already getting in character for the show one could say. Reckless Jack just waves to them. The marks wave back to him. Reckless Jack shows his security pass to get in the building. They let him in as the door shuts behind him. He takes a deep breath before getting down on one knee. He says an inaudible prayer before getting back up. He is walking around, looking to get to the locker room areas. Once he gets to the locker room labeled “XCW” he smirks and opens the door. Once he opens the door, there is a note on a table. Being perplexed, he goes over to the table to read the note. We read along.
Reckless Jack smiles at the thoughtful note that was place there by a backstage person after it was written. He puts the note into his bag. Reckless Jack puts the title around his waist as he gets a hat from his bag. The hat is a simple one; it is just a plain old red ADIDAS hat. Jack puts it on. He sits down and does nothing, just stares off into the nothingness that a wall can bring. He starts to doze off a tad bit. Pretty soon, his eyes are closed. Then the door swings open. Jack opens his eyes to see what is going on. We see a backstage person there.
Reckless Jack: What do you need?
Backstage Person: The press conference is starting soon. They want you there now.
Reckless Jack: Alright, I’ll get there.
Reckless Jack stands up and stretches a tad bit before making his way to the press conference. He starts to walk there, taking his time, not wanting to show up on time today. He sees a few people that he knows so they all give each other “the nod.” Reckless Jack keeps on his way, looking at the structure of the arena. He stops near the entrance position for the stage. He steps through the certain, looking at the empty arena before he goes to the back. Once he finally gets the to the press conference, he is greeted by the flashing of bulbs from cameras. He doesn’t pay any attention to them as he goes to the stand for the press conference. Jack nods to everyone. Hands raise up in the air but he doesn’t call on anyone.
Reckless Jack: I am gonna keep this simple and short today. I have really nothing more to elaborate on about this match. If you haven’t seen my interview with Hank Brown, watch it. If you want my thought about this match or whatever, that is the thing to watch folks. All I gotta say today. Later.
Reckless Jack steps down from the podium and walks out of the room. He walks towards the fans area. Once he is there, he sits down and watches the people. When he is looking around, he sees that there are many people having fun today. Some families are in the WCF theater which shows old matches or some are just sitting around talking about who is gonna win this match. Some people are just standing, watching the other people do their thing. As he is watching the people, someone comes up from behind him. He doesn’t seem to notice who it is until he looks around. The person standing behind him is none other then this old friend, Fantastic Joe. Jack gets up and shakes the hand of his old friend. Joe sits down next to him. They watch the people.
Joe: So I hear you were quiet for once at a press conference?
Reckless Jack: Yeah…
Joe: You are usually full of life and wanting to talk the head off of anyone who will listen.
Reckless Jack: I know.
Joe: So why didn’t you today?
Reckless Jack: I didn’t have much to say, that’s why.
Joe: That has to be a first for you, not having anything to say.
Reckless Jack: I suppose Joe.
Joe: So, do you think you are going to win tonight against Logan and Creeping Death?
Reckless Jack: You know Joe; I really don’t give a shit anymore. All week it has been, will I beat Logan, will I beat Creeping Death? There comes a point in a man’s life where he has to realize what is important to him. I have realized that the people out there in the crowd are the ones that matter. Not some jackass owner, not some big headed World Champion, not some lazy bastard, but the people who watch it Joe. I guess I have forgotten that along my way in wrestling. When I was still starting out, I had no idea how to work a crowd, but now I do. I didn’t know how to think before a title match, now I do. I mean it would be nice to win tonight, but winning is the most important thing in my life right now. I have a family that I love. I have friends; I have a good house, steady income and a good car. I can just relax in knowing the fact that I am at peace with my inner self.
You see Joe, I once viewed myself as a man of the devil. A man who would do anything to win a match, but now I don’t need to. All I need is a plan and that plan is to become the WCF World Champion by sticking to what brought me to the dance. I need to become more reckless then I ever have before. I need to become faster, stronger, better then ever to win this match. But, then again, I do have a “Personal Jesus” on my side. So, that factors in a lot.
But Joe, I just have nothing else to say man. I’m done with speaking about this match, about WCF for the rest of the day. I just want to relax before I get in that ring tonight.
Joe nods as both men continue sitting there, realizing that winning isn’t the only thing that makes a true wrestler. A true wrestler is a man who is willing to do anything that is good for that federation. If it means taking a pay cut or losing to a guy when they don’t need to, then so be it. In Reckless Jack’s mind, that makes the true wrestler.

I know this is a big night for you. Chris and I will love you no matter the outcome. Remember that, winning doesn’t make the man. What he does outside of the ring is what makes him a real winner. Make us proud honey.
Love,
Lucy
Love,
Lucy
