*The shot at the moment is black. Nothing more, however, if you listen closely, as in, put your ear to a speaker you can hear a fanfare that is starting to fade in. Slowly. Growing with every passing second, getting larger and larger. It's one of those things where you might be walking in a parking lot, and you can hear a song being played from a car that is in front of you as you are walking into the store. You hear it faintly and you wonder, "Do I know that song?" Well that's how this is, as it slowly fades in and then it is clear. Very clear. The song is "Pomp and Circumstance." As the song starts to reach it's highest level of volume the black starts to melt away. Fade away. It starts to reveal a picture not unlike the "Jack of Blades Public Service Announcement." It's Dake Ken, standing in front of a back drop. The back drop is a blue screened image of a waving flag of the United Kingdom. Dake's figure is a picture of him standing facing the camera with left arm extended, as far as it can go, giving a thumbs up. His head is slightly turned to the right as he gives a big smile. He is in his wrestling attire, meaning he is shirtless, both wrists are taped, he has on black tights with gold designs and lettering that can hardly be seen, for two reason, he is facing the camera and the designs are on the side of his legs, and he shot cuts him off around the middle of his quadriceps, slightly above his knees. A disembodied voice can now be heard making an announcement over the music. The voice is overly loud and a reverb effect has been needlessly placed on it. "The following is an announcement paid for by Dake Ken ... and just Dake Ken, because he has the money to do it." The voice rings out on it for a moment untill finally fading out. The shot then beings to fade back out into black, even though "Pomp and Circumstance" still continues to play on it's full volume. Once the shot of Dake giving a thumbs up, and a far to enthusiastic smile to be taken seriously, the music begins to fade out. Slowly as it came it.
A new scene begins to fade in. The shot is in a class room. It fades in from a corner of a room, slightly elevated. There are several rows of desks to seat children in. All lined up perfectly, just like they were in school. The floor is a horribly white tile that, with the fluorescent lights, and overly white walls and ceiling, make the room give you, almost an instant headache. The desks are those type of desks that are just one piece. The chair is connected to the desk and there is a basket on the bottom for storing ones books and other such things that you could fit down there. Maybe a project or something. Who knows. The walls, which are horribly white, are semi-covered in those odd posters that it seems only teachers have. Garfield the cat with a book on his head stating, "I wish I could learn by osmosis." There are posters of Albert Eienstein and other odd teacher ornamentation. There is a poster with a old woman cartoon. She is very grumpy looking. There is a voice bubble above her stating, "You can't scare me ... I teach." Of course it seems like all these just came from some odd "Teachers R Us" type store. The ceiling is white as well, and has many "Number Two" pencils hanging from it. Kids throwing them up and letting the sharp led stick into it the soft ... whatever the hell makes the ceiling in schools. It's something that's softer than dry wall, but still has some actual solidity to it. There is a blackboard behind the teacher's desk. An actual black board ... which of course means that it is green, and filthy with chalk marks. There is chalk dust all over the erasers, and there are small pieces of chalk in the metal chalk holder. Which is covered in chalk dust. The teachers desk as pictures, of course they are turned away from the kids so they can not see the picturers. A computer that looks at least three to four years old. There are other odd trinkets. A glass apple with a green worm coming out and smiling. A filing cabinet draw sits behind the desk. Rulers, and a cup of pencils and pens. A Rolodex with names and numbers of the students and their parents. Books and whatnot. All the stuff you'd expect to see on a teacher's desk. Plus on addition. Dake Ken. Yes Dake Ken is sitting on the teacher's desk.
Dake is sitting on the desk, in attire that you would only see on a teacher who takes their job far to serious. Dake has on a nice dress shirt with a tie. The "salmon" colored shirt is tucked into his grey slacks which have are supported with a black belt. Black dress shoes with black dress socks, which only visible when Dake takes a step, and also at this moment, for the way he is sitting is exposing the black dress socks. His cuffs are buttoned tightly and there are a few pens in his pocket. His hair is oddly styled and he is wearing some oddly thick glasses. He has the same odd smile he had on his face, the overly enthusiastic one that he had in that first shot, while the United Kingdom's flag swaying in the background. The tie Dake has on is so very different from everything else he is wearing that it's almost painful to look at. It is blue with an apple at the bottom, there is a bite taken out of it, and a green worm has come out with a look of puzzlement on it's face. There are white letters that look like some young children made with paint in crafts that says, "Mr. Ken." Dake Ken doesn’t look like a wrestler at all. Not in any way shape or form. Infact he looks more like what the tie says. He looks like ... Mr. Ken. Dake stands up from the desk. He is still smiling. He beings walking the rows and counting the desks. Making sure that all the desks are there, and making sure that everything is ready for when class starts. Dake walks all the rows. Slightly tapping each desk. It's so quite in the room, that the soft tap from Dake's hand can actually be heard when he touches the desk. After he walks up and down each row he returns to the desk. He walks behind it, and sits in a chair. He pulls the chair close up and rests his arms on the table, they are folded.
After a moment passes a bell can be heard ringing. A sound that takes us all back to our school days. A moment later and many kids can be heard in the hall way. Their voices are very loud as they have to over come the sound of walking, lockers, and of course each other. There is much movement. The figures of children can been seen walking by the frosted glass door of Dake's classroom. A few minutes later and kids start to flock their way in. They all get to their desks and sit down until all but two are left vacant. Another minute passes and the bell rings again. Obviously the first bell marked the end of classes and this bell is the tardy bell. A boy comes running into the class. He goes to his desk and sits down. He obviously hopes that Dake won't say anything. Dake looks at him though, as if making a mental note. Dake's smile has changed since the sound of the first bell. Now the smile is more of a smirk. The smirk that Dake Ken has always been seen sporting since his first days. That smug, "I'm better than you." smirk that he's always used to play games with people's minds. He's doing it right now, to a younger kid. Of course these children aren't in real "grade school" anymore. They all look to be about seventh or eight graders. All slightly older looking than an elementary school kid, but younger than a high schooler. The boy is seemingly distraught by the look Dake is giving him. Who wouldn't be, if a teacher gave you a smirk when you were tardy you wouldn’t feel so hot either. Dake looks away from the boy. He picks up a remote. He turns on a TV. Some announcements scroll by. A voice is heard over the intercom. "Teachers please change your TVs to channel 82 for the morning announcements." Dake obviously knowing this routine has been prepared and turned the TV on where it was ready and waiting.*
(This set up seems very odd. Very unlike Dake Ken to cut a promo while actually acting. Getting into a different character. Setting up a scene that isn't real that's all fake. Setting it all up. However. The truth behind this odd scene is very easy to see. Just look at the start. It's Dake's way of poking fun at Jack of Blades. Dake has been very put off by Jack's "insanity equals sanity" type of gimmick a thing which he doesn't like to begin with. Dake finds it cliche and cheesy. A stupid way to get a bunch of marks to totally believe you and follow your character with "googly" eyes. Of course every smart fan out there knows better. This is where the loyalty to The New Dynasty lies. In smart fans. The people who see through all the sad sorry gimmicks of the ToT. They see past Lawnmower Jones and his love of lawnmowers, they see past Jack of Blades and his sane insanity, they see past Ace's "highest card in the deck" bullshit, and they see through whatever Beyond has going on. They understand that all those men are trying to do is get over quick with the stupid fans who buy into it, they are just trying to get a cheap pop or some cheap heat. They honestly have nothing on the members of The New Dynasty as far as in ring talent goes. There for they try these cheap gimmicks and they team up with their former boss, who has been around for ages, and has been Mr. WCF. They attempt to get ahead anyway they can and disrespect all those who have are still at the top, by trying to pull them off the ladder, rather than actually working for a spot and getting the push to climb to the top. All this is nothing to them. They have known nothing but the easy road, as Logan has continually given them easy spots.
However, Logan isn't in power anymore. Which gives everyone a level playing field. There are no more unfair advantages. There are no more stupid gains that one team can make over the other. Now there is just a turf war and only the strongest will survive. At the moment the team with the advantage is The New Dynasty as well. They hold all the singles titles. They have some of the most recognized WCF wrestlers in the history of the WCF. They have all the gold, and all the respect. Now that they are on top, they can only do what any veteran would do in a situation like this. Mock their opponents. Mock the fact that Jack of Blades is setting up an entire scene. Mock Ace's highest card in the deck tag line. Mock Beyond for ... him being him. Mock Logan for surrounding himself with fools and worthless little shits. Mock the ToT for failing to produce any type of fear in the members of The New Dynasty. Spit in their faces and laugh. That's the idea right now. As far as Dake and the rest of the boys in The New Dynasty go, the ToT is on it's last legs, and the battle has only just officially begun. Sure it's been reeking havoc backstage for months, but now that it's public the ToT is already on the downfall, and might just fold under the pressure. Giving the boys in The New Dynasty exactly what the have been fighting for since this war started, the power which they once had. Because that is what this entire battle is about, not just in Dake's mind, but in the mind of Creeping Death, Torture, Nate Nytro, Twister, and J-X. It is what their goal has been from the start. To retain what was lost. To get back what was taken when Logan came to power, and was the owner of the company. To get back what is rightfully theirs.
Dake's personal involvement also goes a bit further than just getting back that power though. Each member of The New Dynasty has some personal vendetta that Dake can't speak for, however his is very well known. Six months ago, when WCF was reopened Dake Ken and Logan were billed as the top two, basically the two who would battle for the World Title. However everything seemed to be going against Dake. There was no help for him, and there was not a single amount of thought put into what was actually going on. There was Dake, by himself, against the entire ToT, which at the time had been reformed. The spots Dake was put into were insane, and personally harmful. Being shot in stomach. Being beaten by numerous men. The constant demandings actually left Dake injured and unable to compete for quite a while. Then when Dake became healthy, there was no way of actually competing untill Logan was out of power. The personal reason that Dake is in this war is to get at Logan, who almost cost him everything. Never in Dake's career had he actually been injured in the way that he was when he left WCF six months ago. The fact that Logan almost ended Dake's career and the fact that Logan almost kept Dake from coming back is the fuel that makes Dake continue to move forward with every passing moment to try and get to Logan. To try and reach him and rip him limb from limb. To take him and humiliate him, and make him feel like the one who is crippled and useless. Sitting at home, thinking back on the highlights of his career. Thinking that maybe this was truly the end for him and everything he had been working for over the past 15 years of his life. Making him feel like everything was over and that there was no hope, and almost no reason in going on. To make him think that the last memory that the fans will have, is him in horrible pain in the ring, with everything in the balance maybe to never be seen again.
That is Dake's personal goal. To take everything Logan did to him, directly, and indirectly and turn it right back on him, in a huge twist of karma. To make Logan feel all those emotions, and have to think all those things while Dake was on the shelf. Sitting there everyday at his home, trying to over come the injury that had been handed to him, trying to overcome the pain in rehab. Trying to actually get back, and then making it back, only to be rejected. To get sent back, being labeled as "too old" or "not a good investment in the business." All the bullshit that was fed to the board in order to keep Dake from actually making back in the WCF. Dake knows how to make it all happen too, and he knows that joining up with his friends in The New Dynasty is the way to do it. The right way to do it. Get with friends who had similar things happen, who got held back by Logan's power, who have been humiliated by what Logan has done in the past. To get back at the tyrant for what he has done. To make it very obvious that the Face of Treachery is actually the Face of Tyranny. A powerhungry, good for nothing piece of shit, that only makes the business stink, rather than do anything to help it. A bastard who calls people a word him made up, and believes that gets him ratings and fan approval. Dake's goal is to insult everything Logan has done, and make sure that he realizes his mistakes. In fact it all comes back to this very promo too. Where Dake is making fun of ToT members. Just a small example of how it's all going to end. A small example of which side will actually win the war. The side that has the best start. The side that has the best odds. The side that is just simply better than the other. The obvious clear cut winner.)
*Dake arises from his desk after the announcements have ended. He turns off the TV and sets the remote back on the desk. He lifts a clipboard up from his desk and takes out a pen from his pocket. He clears his throat and begins talking.*
Dake: Welcome class, I hope you all had a great weekend. Now, before we begin out lesson, why don't we take roll hmmm? Anderson.
Anderson: Here.
Dake: Andrews.
Andrews: Here.
Dake: Brown.
Brown: Here.
Dake: Burton:
Burton: Here.
Dake: Campbell.
Campbell: Here.
Dake: Curtis.
Curtis: Here
*Dake continues calling out the lists of names for roll call. After ever response of here he makes a check.*
Dake: Alright. Today's lesson is going to be a bit different kids. It's going to be about something that doesn't involve simple algebra.
*The class seems delighted as they do not have to go under the painful task of learning algebraic equations and other types of problems that are a pain.*
Dake: Yes today we are going to learn about being true to ones self. As well as using proper grammar when speaking. How does that sound?
*The class doesn't make much of a response. They seem to not really be into this type of stuff. Which ... what seventh grader is? Not many.*
Dake: You see, there is something to be said for A: being true to yourself, and B: speaking with proper grammar. For you do not want to come across as a fool or a lier. Nor to you want to come across as crazy, or dumb. Do you understand? See the thing here is that, if you are a kid, why act like an adult. That is not being true to yourself. You mustn't act like something you obviously are not, because then you put the wrong idea into people's heads. You do not want to have people think you are crazy when you are actually sane do you. I mean, come on. Who wants that. Why would I personally act insane if it is very clear that I am not insane. There is no reason for it. ... Right? Wrong. I'll tell you why. I'll tell you why some people act crazy when their not. It's the same reason some people lie about things they've done. It's just like when someone says that maybe they had been the victim of a family member ... doing inappropriate things with them when they were your age. It's to get attention. Nothing more. It's to get attention. They want everyone to look at them. They want to be the spot light. Don't do that kids. Don't give them to spot light. If you know people like that, the best thing to do is ignore them. Don't pay attention. Because that is what they want. You must train yourself, and with my help there is nothing to fear, but you must train yourself to become immune to this lying. This show that people put on to make people look at them. Don't give them that satisfaction. Don't left them know that you are even thinking about it. Because that only makes them do it more. It makes them lie. You all know how bad lying is correct? Yes, lying is very bad indeed, and we need not to have people going around and acting deranged when in fact they are just fine mentally. Because if they were actually deranged and insane they wouldn’t be in society. They would be kept somewhere else. Don't listen if they say things like, "We'll I've already been there, I've been locked away." Pish-posh. It's nothing more than more lies. Do not listen to these lies kids. Do not pay attention, because then you are no better than the liars themselves. You must learn and understand this.
*A hand shoots into the air.*
Dake: Yes, Smith?
Smith: But Mr. Ken. How do we know if a person is lying about this or not.
Dake: Well it's very obvious. Take for instance someone trying to act crazy. You could go up to them and ask, "Are you crazy sir?" If they respond in a way that is very normal and very matter of fact, in fact, I'll be honest, if they really reply at all in any way shape or form to your question they have a bit of sanity in them. The truly insane wouldn’t be able to really process your question, or while they might hear it, they might manipulate the words in their head into something that befits what they want to hear more. There for you might get an answer that is totally different from anything relevant to the question you asked. Another way to tell is just by pure instinct. Would you all actually approach someone who was acutally crazy? No ... why ... because you can feel it. We all have a sense deep inside us that tells us if danger is actually near. It's very obvious when you are in the presence of someone actually insane, because you would become very scared for your own safety, because you do not know what that crazy person will do next. Do you understand Smith?
Smith: Yes I do, thank you Mr. Ken.
Dake: You're welcome, it's no problem at all. I just want to make it very well known how bad this is. Now, on to our next subject. Speaking and writing with correct grammar. Now I know that sometimes people get excited and they just, forget to do some things, however, it is very important that you speak and write properly if you are going to get your point across effectively. Now of course no one is perfect so there will always be a phrase that you might mess up, or there might be a word you misspell, however, there is no reason to actually skew the meaning of entire paragraphs and entire idea just because you can't correctly in any coherent way get your ideas across. When you come across people like this kids, you need to simply not listen to them, for you all are young, even though you all think you aren't, and that you know much, there is very much you do not know as well. You can still easily pick up bad habits by listening to people speak wrong. They can distort your way of speaking and writing so that everyone thinks you are a fool! Think about it. Think about if you went your entire life and you said "libary" instead of "library." Think about that kids. Isn't that a horrible thought. What if you left words out when you were writing. Think about if you wrote a sentence like, "I to the mall." You what to the mall. Obviously there is something involving you and the mall, but what could it be. There is some idea of where the sentence could go, but why should you have to play ad lib with a person. That is just for you and a book and nothing else. Children, please understand I am trying to help you become a functioning member of society here. One that has value on their name, not one that is just a fool. If you follow my advice I promise you, you will all do well in life. There is no way you can go wrong if you trust me. I know what I speak of. I've seen it first hand. You must understand that in my years of life, I've seen much more than you can ever imagine right now, and I've seen and heard these things I've talked about. I've seen people acting like something they actually aren't. I've seen people talk in a way that's so distorted you can't even understand what is actually being said. Kids these people were pathetic scum. You need not to turn out that way. As it would be such a great waste. Please take this all into account.
*Dake looks at his watch.*
Dake: Ahhh class the time has come where you are about to leave and then a new class will come into this old room. Please think on what I have told you. You will have to. It's homework. I want an essay by the end of the week on what I've said. Please use correct grammar, it would be a shame if you didn't, for I would have to fail you, because that is one of the entire purposes of this assignment. To get you to sound intelligent and act intelligent.
*The bell rings and the class begins to move. The children flie by Dake who is standing in the door. The young man who was tardy earlier approaches to leave the class.*
Dake: Williams that was your fourth tardy, there is something to be said for punctuality too. Detention.
*The kid is obviously disappointed. He leaves the class. After all the kids have left the class Dake walk up and down every row. He picks up all the trash. He throws it away and goes through and counts the desks like he did earlier. He then goes and sits on the table and the shot fades out ... just the way it came in.*
A new scene begins to fade in. The shot is in a class room. It fades in from a corner of a room, slightly elevated. There are several rows of desks to seat children in.
