WCF fans are packed to the gills in the WCF arena for one of the company's first house shows of 2006. As they prepare for the first match of the night, "Keep Away" blares over the pa. The fans then see a large man come from behind the curtain and making his way toward the ring. He looks straight ahead as he finally climbs over the top rope and takes a mic in the middle of the ring. At this point he stops and looks around the arena with a look of frustration.
Big Country: First things first. I should not be out here in front of you fans tonight. I should be at my house in Florida (looks at his watch) watching Cops and relaxing. I should be able to get my wrestling fix by going into my training center and moving around my home ring. I shouldn't even be in this arena tonight, or any night for that matter!
The fans don't know what to make of the situation, a few boos and boring chants begin.
Big Country: Six years ago, the NAWA, my home away from home, ceased operations forever. When I left there, I knew that my time as a full time wrestler was over. I had saved enough money to set myself and my family up forever. I had done everything that I had set out to do when I started wrestling. I won World and tag titles. I main evented PPV's and wrestled on any continent that you can. I was thankful to be done full time.
Sure, I wrestled some small time places for a few months once and a while, but that was all for a friend. My personal love for the sport was fine sitting in front of a tv and watching guys healthier than me do things that I had no desire to do anymore.
Then came the phone call. Then came back Seth, the owner of this place. See, when NAWA was flourishing, I had signed a seven year deal with Daniel Starr, the owner of NAWA. And, when it folded, I had no idea that Starr legally owned Big Country the wrestler. And, of all things that could happen, that snake Starr sold the rights of my contract to the owner of the WCF! Well, let me tell you fans something, I could give a damn about you anymore!
The boos become even louder.
Big Country: When I was forced to come back to a full time schedule, I first thought that I would sabotage this company and just be dead weight. But then came another phone call, this time from the man who I helped not so long ago. He told me that I needed to go out here and prove that I still have it, that I can once again become champion. He does have a point.
I stand here before you rednecks in this ring to make a statement. And that statement is this: Big Country, albeit forced, is back in wrestling, and he's going to do the only thing he knows: win titles and beat down wannabes. You throw BC into any match, and I'll not only win, I'll dominate, and a year from now, I'll retire World Champion, Bottom Line.
"Keep Away" hits as BC leaves the ring to a chorus of boos.
