A household. A random household. We zip through the window, and turn left to watch the same television set this random family just turned on. The click the channel from their remote to a specific channel. We see an older white male with a dark gray long sleeve shirt on, with red suspenders. White hair with black reading glasses. It is Larry King.
We go live with Larry King Live through the television set.
Larry King: Exclusively. Tonight. I go one on one with the One and Only.. and i'm not talking cage match. Nope. For the next sixty minutes, I go deeper than clotheslines, and higher than frog splashes. Right now, I have a one on one interview.. with Torture.
- A video montage of Torture is shown. We come back to the table with the legendary microphone set upon it.
Larry: Thanks Tort for doing this.
Torture: My pleasure, King. I don't think we ever talked in front of live Television before, hah.
Larry: You are right about that, last time we spoke, you just temporarily retired from the Wrestling Championship Federation.
Torture: Yup. It was temp though, like you said and I said back then. It wasn't going to be very long before I stepped back in, but I had to get my life back on track.
Larry: Get it back on track?
Torture: Oh yeah, Larry. Hah. I had to get some stuff straight in my life before I could go back out there in front of the microscope.
Larry: The microscope, you mean the fans and media?
Torture: They get at you all the time. A lot of these wrestlers think they're not getting bothered by it, but they do, and they will. I just took some time off to catch my breath. I did so much before I turned 22. I now notice more in my life.
Larry: Take us to your rookie year in WCF, you won something.. with someone else, right?
Torture: Yeah, Death. He was my first best friend, and mainly because we came from the same place. Modesto. I grew up there, and a lot of times, I would find myself doing similar activities he was. I said something about becoming a wrestler, after I started to work out. He said he'd go along with it, just to see how it would turn out.
How far could we really go you know?
Larry: Pretty far.
Torture: Yeah. We tried out, got accepted, went through a smaller company before we were contracted out to WCF in PA. It was fun, and within five or six months, we were Tag Team Champions. Couldn't have asked for more in my rookie season. Death and I don't talk much more, he's off doing.. I don't know.. something somewhere else, but in that same year, I found out I could wrestle without a partner. hah.
Larry: By yourself?
Torture: They had this opening match with this guy named Mad Dogg, who was holding the International Championship for a while. He asked me to be in the match. I forget if he was actually holding the title or not, but I ended up winning it. Seth Lerch, the owner of the company, decided the title wasn't worth much after that, but that was my first singles gold, and I won't forget it!
Larry: You became good friends with other wrestlers?
Torture: That I did. Creeping Death. A lot of people think it's crazy, but it works out well. We're just two guys that love to do what we do. And that is wrestle. It's came down to between us before. From Royal Rumbles, to TLC Matches, to just a basic debate about who rocks out more, male or female singers in rock bands.
Larry: Of course, we all knew about Kurtis Victory.
Torture: Yeah. Real sad stuff, Larry. It was horrible.
Larry: It was a huge blow to confidence.
Torture: I think so. I don't remember trusting too many people after that.. I started to think about bigger things.
Larry: Bigger?
Torture: Yeah, like, maybe God doesn't want me to be fully happy, maybe I should just be happy enough entertaining millions of people world-wide, maybe I should just be happy that I get to do what I love. You know, the bigger picture?
Larry: You moved from Modesto, California to Los Angeles, California. Apartment living for a while, but then you got the huge house.
Torture: That's what I call to this day, the family house. For once in my life, I thought everything was perfect. I know you probably don't ever feel that way, ever, but man, I seriously thought, I was blessed in life. I knew my life would end up just how I wanted to end up. The family, the big house, the money I worked my ass off, the fans I wanted, my company. I loved my family a lot, Larry. I made a promise to myself when I was younger, about ten or twelve, and I promised myself I wouldn't end up like my mom or dad. I love them, and rest in peace, but I was not going to let myself end up like them.
Larry: Tell me the relationship with Howard Dean.
Torture: Not much to tell, other than he was totally something else beneath his skin. He was a huge snake. Goes back to not believing anyone who wants to run this country. Sorry, Larry.
Larry: Don't be. I won't disagree with anything you say.
Torture: Good! Just kidding. haha.
Larry: (chuckle). Lets talk about Logan.
Torture: haha. This is a guy, that everyone thinks I either hate, or REALLY hate. I like Logan. Without Logan, there wouldn't be a Torture. I say that about a lot of the guys in WCF, but this one is more true than the others. I was pushed to my limits, and I hope he was as well. Love or hate the decision of me winning, I don't care, I just looked forward to the next match.. which isn't always good.
Larry: Looking forward isn't good?
Torture: Well, let me explain. For example, I just got done with a huge match with Logan, and I won. The next day, we were all ready for the next Sunday Slam. Sure there was fall out, but it was little. I just got done from a huge fight, and was already looking forward to the next one. I didn't really get to sit back and look back on it. Of course, I did when I had the time off after I left. I left soon after our fued. WCF just wasn't for me. I had to go. I wasn't liked much, I was becoming someone I should never be. I just had to go.
Larry: Lets look foward to this announcement of Thirteen?
Torture: I was basing my return in the summer of this year. It's pretty much on track. I want to come back and win some more gold, especially gold I have never seen around my waist before. I'm also wanting Seth to stand up for some of his weak stances on certain situations in the past, and current. I just want people to know that WCF wasn't and isn't surviving thanks to Seth. It's here because of us wrestlers. Lerch tends to take too much credit for things he really had nothing to do with. Cover ups and conspiracies, I say. I know the truth, and hopefully in time we'll all know the truth.
Larry: So you asked him to fight you?
Torture: That I did. He can fight me or come clean. There was always a challenge between him and I. Even when we were on the same side for a time. There was tension, and certainly, I always felt challenged. He talks big, but can't back it up. Someone has to step to him.
Larry: Thoughts from Danny Vice on Oprah?
Torture: I was being told about this minutes before I came on here. A few of your employees were telling me about it and laughing. I laughed too. I don't know this kid. I don't have anything to do with him. I don't pay attention to him. I have no idea who he is. Never even heard of him.
Larry: Well, Torture. You are one of a kind, anything else?
Torture: With my return to the ring, I want everyone to know that I did move to Chicago, and that a whole new line of 2007 CoolWear Inc. shirts and hats will be available soon. Larry, it was awesome talking to you.
Larry: The pleasure was all mine, Torture..
- We fade back out of the television set. The same television that we saw earlier. We pan out to the living room of the family of four that just watched it. We pan back out through the window and fade back even farther zooming out of the city. The scene fades to black.
