The scene opens with D-Day sitting in his lazy-boy leather chair watching sports center hearing what they have to say about the colts making it to the Super Bowl. He just sits there relaxed listening; only the sound of the TV can be heard. He picks up the remote and turns off the TV. He sits up in his chair with his hands together with his fingers side by side thinking about the match he has had two weeks ago. He is wondering what he did wrong and what he did right. He then thinks what will happen if he makes mistakes against Anastasia. He then starts talking to himself.
D-Day: Well, we did get the win in the tag match, and one of the Royal Family members got the pin to give us the win. I have to apologize to Chad Evans; he really showed me that he is ready right now and that he has potential. I have no apology for Jimmy Dean so far. He hasn’t proven himself to me. I have worries about this Chad Evans. I am afraid I will have problems with him in the future. I will have to be ready for him, but I have to think about Anastasia this week. She will be the only one in my sights at TEN I need to focus. She has many tricks up her sleeves from experience and from watching her matches. I will be ready for her at TEN. I will be physically fit and ready for any tricks she may pull out of her sleeves.
D-Day stands up from his chair and begins to walk to the stairs to walk down them to his personal training room. He reaches the bottom and flicks the light switch at the last step on the wall. The lights in the room show many exercise equipment. There is weights, boxing bags, jump rope, wrestling ring, practice dummies that have different weights from 150 pounds to 400 pounds. It’s like a wrestlers training room in heaven. He walks down and starts on the weights. He puts 250 pounds on the bar to start off. He then moves up to 275 all the way up to 350. He thinks in his head about his match.
D-Day: Anastasia, you have defeated me many times in the past I have looked through all of the match tapes and found at least one thing it did wrong against you. I have got distracted once, I have got lost in the crowd and you have taken advantage of every mistake I made in order to beat me. I will not let that happen this time. I will be prepared.
D-Day then moves over to the jump ropes and begins jumping. He begins counting starting at 1.
D-Day: 1…2…3…4…5…6…7…8…9…10, and so on. He goes all the way to 250 and stops he takes off his T-shirt and throws it against a chair. He then walks over to the punching bag and puts on the wrist take around his hand. He begins punching the bag rapidly making it go out of control he then moves over to the human boxing bag. He begins by punching the bag with some powerful and swift uppercuts. Followed by a few quick jabs from his left arm, and then from his right. He then starts elbowing the top of the bag. He then backs up and super kicks the bag three times in a row about knocking the bag of the hook. He then strengthens his D for Destruction by kicking it rapidly and ends with one powerful kick to the middle of the bag.
D-Day then walks over to a brick wall with lines across from how high he can kick his leg up. The highest mark he has is 6ft 7ins. He tries once not hoping to injure his leg. His kick is at 6ft 9ins. He can almost kick a 7ft man straight in the face.
He then walks over to the ring and get in. he then trains his body to be able to take hits and diving moves he only has one mat around the ring. He is jumping off the turnbuckle, jumping out of the ring over the apron and onto the mats increasing his durability. After 15 agonizing minutes of beating himself, he walks over to his phone with a towel around his neck and a water bottle in his hand. He dials the number hoping and waiting for an answer.
There is another voice on the other side of the line. He says “What do u want D-Day” like he already knows who and what he wants. There is a silence. D-Day answers back to the familiar voice.
D-Day: Marcus it’s me, I heard earlier that you were holding Steven for a while anything you know about that.
Marcus: Well, D-Day, in fact I am taking care of Steven until he can get his job back on track. I am giving him shelter for a couple of days then he is on the street to find another place to sleep and eat other peoples food.
D-Day: Now Marcus don’t be so hard on the boy. He only asked you one favor and that was to put a roof under his head for a while, but now I need you and Steven to come over quickly. So get Steven off of his lazy ass and get him over here pronto.
Marcus: Ill defiantly try D-Day, I will try.
D-Day then hangs up the phone and begins walking up stairs to cool off from the long morning work out. He wipes all of the salty sweat on his face and sits in his chair still soaking wet from all of the sweat. He reaches for the remote, but it slips off of his fingers and in front of him. He reaches down and clicks the ON button. The TV flashes and Sports Center then pops on the screen in a flash. D-Day then watches the results of the basketball games and is wondering who is going to win the Super Bowl. He notices that there is a person at the front door of his mansion. He gets up to see who it is. He sees a young a youthful thirteen year old. He runs away for the door for his life. D-Day (with his keen reactions) grabs the collar of the boys polo shirt. He turns the boy around lifting him in the air. The boy is an average sized boy about 5”5’. He weights about 100-150 pounds. He turns the boy around. He notices the boys’ friends running off of his property running for their mom. He begins to speak to the boy.
D-Day: Hey, boy…what r u doing on my porch.
Boy: Nothing sir I was just with my friends, and since they told me to come over to your door, and then we are in the present.
D-Day: Well…what’s your name kid?
Boy: Adam…Gingerman
As the boy says his name D-Day notices him shivering like it is below freezing. He then put the kid down and invites him inside of his coasty home.
D-Day: Well…Adam won’t you come inside. I didn’t mean to scare you like that. I will make you lunch or something. Just stay and talk.
Adam: Ok…
He stutters as he answers D-Day back.
D-Day: Sit, sit. Just relax what were those friends of yours were doing anyway. I noticed that they left the scene as soon as I opened the door.
Adam: Well…they aren’t really my friends…
Still stuttering
Adam: They only like me because I live near you and they are big WCF fans. They were hoping that you weren’t home and they talked me into stealing something from your home to make a quick buck.
D-Day: Well…then normally I would have to call the cops but since you are an WCF fan, how would you like to walk down the ramp with me to my match?
Adam just sits there with his mouth open drooling over the thought of walking down that ramp with D-Day. He is imagining himself ever saluting the screen causing the fireworks to appear.
He then answers very quickly.
Adam: YES!
D-Day: Ok. Then it is official. You will be walking down the ramp with me to the ring.
Adam: Thank you sir.
D-Day: Just call me Donald, and be here Saturday morning 9 sharp. OK
Adam: Will do sir…I mean Donald.
The scene ends with D-Day shaking his head and laughing at the teenager Adam, which is running as fast as he can to his home. He slowly walks up and shuts the door behind Adam.
