Man
Ladies and gentlemen of the press, Wrestling Championship Federation fans, and anyone else who just randomly walked by and came in due to the large crowd...
The man's voice pauses for laughter from the crowd and then continues when the laughter dies down.
Man
We here at the MGM Grand Hotel and Casino would like to thank you all for being here today, an exciting day I might add.
The video cuts in inside the MGM Grand Conference Center. Despite the fact that the place is over 500,000 square feet, there's little to no elbow room in the place as it is packed by members of the press, and as the man mentioned, fans and anyone else who happened to walk by. Banners hang around the place advertising the hotel itself and featuring stars from WCF. One big banner hangs up behind the stage featuring WCF star "Mexican Machine" Hector Rodriguez. Hector is flexing in the picture showing off his insane physique. The words "Future WCF United States champion" are on the side of the banner.
On the stage are a couple of tables with a big podium in the center. A ton of microphones (or in the words of Peter Griffin, a lot of robot penises) are set up on the podium. Standing behind the mass of microphones is a decent-sized man with short charcoal-colored hair. He's wearing a black and white tuxedo. The crowd itself is almost half reporters, either with a pad in front of them, holding up cameras to snap away photos or holding out recorders. Along the sides are video cameras recording for the various sports organizations, news channels, and even a few local cable news channels.
Man
For the likely less than one percent of people in here who have no clue what is going on here in the MGM Grand Conference Center, this is a press conference for the upcoming Wrestling Championship Federation's pay-per-view Ten. It will be on pay-per-view this Sunday, January 31st, 2010. This show marks the ten year point for Seth Lerch's WCF. However, this press conference isn't about the pay-per-view as a whole but more specifically about one of the men in the United States championship match. A match featuring three men....the current United States champion Ace Slaughter, a man who defeated former champion Greenfever at last month's One pay-per-view. It also features WCF newcomer, Conviction, a man I might want to add would be very angry if I didn't specify that he is just new to WCF but not the sport itself.
Laughter comes from the crowd in attendance at the shot taken by the speaker.
Man
The third man in the match, he is our special guest. He is quickly becoming one of the most recognizable men in WCF today. He's also one of the top 5 largest men on a roster of more than a couple of dozen men and women. He is accompanied by his soon-to-be former manager, Don Bradley. He is from Toluca, Mexico and is known as the Mexican Machine...Hector Rodriguez!!!
The man steps to the side and gestures towards one side of the stage. The speakers light up with "Hit 'Em Up" by Lil Wayne. The lights from cameras start going off like crazy and all the video cameras turn to one side of the stage as Don Bradley walks out decked out in a tuxedo. Right behind him walks Hector Rodriguez, wearing his trademark Punisher mask and the rest of his outfit looks out of place as he walks out in a black muscle shirt and black windbreaker pants. He stops and flexes, posing for the cameras as Don Bradley steps aside for a few shots and stands beside Hector for some other ones. Finally, both men walk up to the podium. The man who introduced them walks up to Don real quick and they exchange words real quick as they shake hands. The man waves to Hector who nods and then Don Bradley steps up to the podium as Hector towers behind him, nearly dwarfing him in size.
Don Bradley reaches up and adjusts the microphones a little bit and leans forward a little bit.
Don Bradley
So is everyone ready for Ten this Sunday?
The press and crowd in attendance pops like crazy and Don Bradley looks back at Hector and says something, nodding. Don Bradley turns back to the microphone.
Don Bradley
So, first I would like to thank MGM Grand Hotel and Casino for setting aside some space for this press conference here in the MGM Grand Conference Center. I received a phone call from WCF owner Seth Lerch that ever since the spot after Hector's match last night, the phones have been ringing off the hook. The email blew up. All of it from fans begging for more, not wanting to wait to see Hector on TV. They wanted to know more about Hector Rodriguez's new manager. From where I am standing, I can point to a big number of you whose faces I recognize, you or your organization were among those same voice mails and emails begging for more information. ESPN, Fox, CBS, MSNBC, there were many of you asking for what you see before you. Again, thank you to MGM. Thank you to all of you out in the crowd. I'm not thanking you for being here, no. I'm thanking you for expressing interest in Hector Rodriguez. I'm thanking you for realizing he's one of the greatest wrestlers in WCF today, no, the sport.
Let's get down to business and answer some questions.
Instantly, the crowd comes to life and hands shoot up all over the place, the volume in the room cranks up a little bit as people yell over each other to be heard. Don Bradley finally points to a man standing near the front of the crowd.
Don Bradley
You.
Reporter
I'm just going to go ahead and get this out of the way. I'm going to ask the question that's on everyone's mind: is Hector Rodriguez a member of MS-13?
Don Bradley smiles at the question as the crowd gets a little loud again. He lifts his hands up and signals for them to calm down. When the noise finally lowers enough, he speaks.
Don Bradley
No. Hector Rodriguez is NOT a member of MS-13. He is at the current time simply an associate of MS-13.
Someone else pipes up with a question before anyone else.
Woman
Is his manager a member of MS-13?
Don turns to the woman.
Don Bradley
Yes. She is a member of MS-13.
Same Woman
What about Conviction's comments about how she is more than likely weak and has been sexually abused like most females in a gang?
The crowd gets a little louder but finally settles down as Don Bradley answers the woman.
Don Bradley
First of all, if you want to last long as a reporter and don't want to end up spending 9-5 getting coffee for everyone in the office you might make sure in the future to not listen to idiots like Conviction. Learning that they rarely ever have a clue what they're talking about will be a very good thing for you to remember. Second, aside from myself and Hector Rodriguez...no one in this room, much less some schmuck like Conviction even knows who the new manager is. Conviction hasn't met her and judging from his absurd comments about MS-13 as a whole, his comments stem from ignorance. He wants to play down the significance of MS-13 like they're some group of wannabe gangsters. You know what? That's fine if he wants to sit there and run his mouth about something he knows nothing about. MS-13 isn't part of some West Coast-East Coast load of BS like half the gangs out there. MS-13 is nationwide. MS-13 is practically one of the top gangs in the United States. They aren't some group of bangers who live in the hood in Philly.
These guys are all over the news. In the majority of cities nationwide, they all have had problems with them. Even the police have problems with them. They put them in jail, they eventually get out. They deport them back to Mexico or whatever country they came from. What do they do then? They come back across the border with recruits. The Hispanic population is quickly on its way to becoming the MAJORITY in this country and MS-13 is one of the biggest gangs if not THE biggest gang in the Hispanic community. I doubt there's a single news station here in the MGM Grand Conference Center who has NOT heard about or reported about problems in their cities dealing with MS-13.
Conviction wants to sit there running his mouth about Hector's new manager acting like because she's a female in a gang that makes her a nobody? You don't know who she is. You don't know who she represents in MS-13. You will find out soon, everyone will, but the difference between Conviction and everyone else is...Conviction is too stupid to understand why. Next question...
The reporters raise their hand again. Don Bradley points to a blonde on the third row.
Woman
How does WCF owner Seth Lerch feel about Hector's new manager being a member of MS-13?
Don Bradley
He has no problem with it. He has met her and confirmed with federal authorities that she doesn't have any warrants out for her arrest. As for MS-13 itself, he has also informed us that any and all members of the Hispanic gang are allowed to attend WCF shows as long as they aren't carrying weapons and are not wanted by federal or local authorities. He also let us know that because of Hector's affiliation with the group, security has been beefed up and there will be more cops at the front gates of the arenas each week and on call for any and all problems related or unrelated to MS-13.
The crowd talks amongst itself for a couple of minutes before dying down. Don Bradley points to a man in the 2nd row.
Man
What exactly do you have to say about the transformation that your client, Hector Rodriguez, has made over the last several months here in WCF? He wasn't in WCF long before he was an instant fan favorite and has been until his recent attack on Carlos Estrada, an attack that some still believe was unprovoked.
Don Bradley
Unprovoked? How many times does this have to be addressed? What exactly would qualify as a provoked attack? Would Carlos Estrada have to physically attack Hector Rodriguez for his retaliation to finally be considered a provoked attack? Let's take a look at the record of Hector Rodriguez since his debut in 2009. He is at the current time wrestling with a record of 6 wins and 10 losses. In the year 2010, he has wrestled 3 times folks and only one of those times did he not come out victorious. The reason...the ONLY reason he was not victorious is because Ace Slaughter interfered in the match. Had it not been for that interference, Hector would be standing before you undefeated in 2010.
In his first match of 2010, Carlos Estrada nearly cost Hector the match. Hector had to win it on his own. Hector told me himself that at that moment, when he overcame the blunder that Carlos was responsible for and was able to win the match, he then realized that Carlos Estrada had reached the end of his usefulness.
The reporters and some of the fans start to boo.
Don Bradley
Hector's attack was provoked. Hector did not have the heart to take Carlos to the side and hurt him by firing him. He didn't want Carlos to have to go through the heartache and embarassment of being fired. So he did Carlos a favor, he hospitalized him.
The crowd boos more. Don Bradley has a look of disbelief on his face.
Don Bradley
I can understand the fans in the back booing, but why the hell are the reporters and even some of you cameramen booing? Aren't you guys supposed to be professionals?
The crowd slowly calms down a little bit. A reporter speaks up.
Reporter
Speaking of Carlos Estrada, one of the first things that Conviction ever said to Hector was that he was a coward. He has since repeated that claim on numerous occasions.
Don Bradley laughs.
Don Bradley
See, there you guys go again listening to a moron like Conviction. You know it's been funny hearing all the claims of Hector being scared, being a coward and all this garbage spewing from his mouth. Do you remember who is in the match for the United States title this Sunday? Ace Slaughter, Hector Rodriguez, and Conviction himself. Conviction should be thanking Hector. He should be bowing to Hector and thanking his lucky stars that he made that challenge to Hector weeks ago. Why? Because Hector could have simply shrugged it off and ignored him. This press conference coudl be about Hector versus Ace for the United States title, but because Hector was such a great competitor he accepted Conviction's challenge. He faced him and due to this, Ace saw the chance to interfere. This caused last week's Slam to feature Conviction in a tag team match with Hector and Ace and it also caused Conviction to be added to the US title match.
Conviction would be a nobody jerking the curtain at Ten. Nobody would know who Conviction is unless they were the few people in the crowd who don't show up late to the shows or spend the first match or two getting popcorn or buying merchandise or using the bathroom. No, instead, he's featured in one of the more profile matches at Ten. He has an opportunity to become the United States champion right off the bat here in WCF. He claimed earlier that he could be the quickest man to become the US champion in WCF history and this is all thanks to Hector Rodriguez. Conviction knows this and it is exactly why he's lashing out so much at Hector. He realizes that without Hector, he is a nobody. Simply because Hector accepted that challenge from him, he will be someone that people know here in WCF. He will be someone that the fans one day give a damn about. Next question...
A woman raises her hand and is recognized.
Woman
What do you think of Conviction's latest appearance on TV showing off his house on WCF Cribs?
Don Bradley laughs.
Don Bradley
I'm glad that Conviction had that filmed. I'm glad that he showed off his house to everyone. The people, they believe that Hector is the bad guy here at the current time in WCF. No, see, Conviction is the asshole here. Conviction is the joke here. By showing his house off like that, Conviction became the biggest joke here in WCF at this point in time. Let me explain why. His first mistake was thinking anyone gives a damn about him. A minute ago I said that because of Hector, the fans would one day...ONE DAY give a damn about him. The thing is, right now, they don't. Any cheers or boos you hear from the crowd in regards to their feelings about Conviction are fake. They're done out of respect for what these boys...and girls do in the ring each week. They do it because they're probably drunk. Not because they care about him at all. Conviction keeps getting mad about me calling him a rookie here and so he goes and decides to show off his house so that maybe we won't believe that.
The thing is, and I believe I said this before, it doesn't matter what someone has done outside of WCF. When you're in the ring, the fans don't boo and cheer based off of what you've done elsewhere in other arenas while working for other companies. They react to your standing within WCF. They react to how you act in the ring here and how you perform HERE...in WCF. What exactly has Conviction done in WCF? He's been in two matches. In his two matches he won the first one with a controversial win and the second match he had his shoulders pinned to the mat by someone he considered below himself. How ironic is it that the man he considered below himself was actually above him this week? He talked all that trash last week and where did it get him? Pinned in the ring. No one came in and won Hector and Fort Knox a victory via disqualification. No, they were real men and walked out of the arena with a victory because Conviction couldn't lift his shoulder.
The other reason why I said that Conviction was a joke after showing his house was because he showed he is the biggest idiot and the least caring celebrity in America. Everyone in the crowd today and the ones in the crowd each week, you boo Hector for his attack on Carlos Estrada, but you say nothing about Conviction showing his house. Why in the world would a celebrity these days show off a house that looks like Conviction's? First off, congratulations to Conviction for doing great money-wise. Nice job on the amazing looking house, a mansion. See, the part where he messed up is he apparently forgot that right now the nation, no practically the world is going through a financial crisis. The economy is trashed right now. People are losing jobs, unemployment is at an all time high. What does he do? He shows everyone that he has a ridiculously large house. A house that he doesn't even need. A house that's way too big for him and any woman or man, no judging, to live in. He shows how well off he is compared to people out there who are barely making it from paycheck to paycheck. Instead he could be donating his money. He could be helping out his community. He could be setting an example to his supposed fans he obtained from wrestling elsewhere. I think it's obvious from actions like this that he's not the brightest person to appear on TV.
I've got time for one more question.
A woman raises her hand and she is recognized by Don Bradley.
Woman
What do you think are Hector's chances this Sunday at Ten? Do you think Ace Slaughter will be able to recover from the tag team match? Can he overcome his loss?
Don Bradley
Well, I hope not, because if he does that would mean he would win the match and Hector would walk out of Ten without the US title around his waist. Just like it was promised that Hector would walk out the victor this past week on Slam, so will he at Ten. Hector Rodriguez is the next US champion and that reign begins at Ten. I have something ironic to point out to everyone listening to me. When Hector Rodriguez wins the US title this Sunday, he will cause that irony. Who was the first US champion in WCF history? Logan. Who was Hector's first tag team partner here in WCF and the man he fought side-by-side with against the Team of Torture? Logan. How ironic would it be for the first US champion of the first ten years of WCF to be Logan and the first one of the next ten years would be his former tag team partner? Sorry for the detour, but Hector had mentioned that if I got the chance to wish Logan luck in his title match this Sunday. We hope he comes out on top and are once again the world champion. Imagine Logan as the world champion and Hector Rodriguez as the US champion after Ten.
I'm not sure about the world title match, but as for the US title match, Hector will emerge victorious. Conviction is a nobody and is NOT on the level of Hector Rodriguez. That has been proven not once, but twice. Technically, you could count it as three times as it was Conviction who had to ask for the opportunity to face him in the first place. A real man would have just ran out there and forced Hector to face him, not issued some generic, predictable challenge. Conviction, after the embarassment that is the last two weeks, he's lucky he's still in the match this Sunday. He hasn't even proven he deserves to be in the match and I doubt he will change my mind after this Sunday either.
As for Ace Slaughter, the current US champion, what is there to say? The guy is crazy. He's lucky that Seth Lerch hasn't stripped him of the title and sent him to a psych ward. Let's not focus on his mental stability, though. Let's focus on his talent in the ring. I will admit that he does have talent. To become the US champion, he had to have some talent, but the thing is...Hector has more in-ring talent. Hector has been on a losing streak in title matches, but that all ends this Sunday at the expense of either Ace Slaughter or Conviction. It's hard to choose who would be the better one to pin. It's obvious that it would do even more damage to the ego of Conviction, hell we all know it needs a check. However, on the other hand, it would be even better to pin the champion so there's no doubts in the mind of anyone as to whether or not he's the champion. Honestly, there's no reason for debate, because everyone knows in these kinds of matches, you'll pin whoever you can pin to win the match.
Ace, he's been a great champion. He's a great wrestler, he's got a lot of talent, but your time as US champion is over. We all know this match isn't just for the United States title. This match is to show who is a future world champion. This match is to show who is a future Brad Kane, Creeping Death, Slickie T, Logan or Torture. A future main eventer. A future world champion. Hector Rodriguez will enjoy being US champion. He will enjoy being the US champion while the ungrateful fans boo him mercilessly because he's both Mexican and associated with MS-13. Five months ago, Hector would have been an underdog in this match and likely wouldn't have even stood a chance, but that was then...this is now. Now, he's one of the hottest superstars in WCF. It is the time of Hector Rodriguez. It begins this Sunday at Ten.
Thank you once again for the opportunity to hold this press conference. On behalf of all of WCF, we hope you tune in or show up to the pay-per-view this Sunday. Tune in and watch Hector Rodriguez become the first US champion of the second ten years of WCF.
Don Bradley and Hector Rodriguez turn and walk off of stage as the cameras go off. The video slowly cuts out.
Ladies and gentlemen of the press, Wrestling Championship Federation fans, and anyone else who just randomly walked by and came in due to the large crowd...
The man's voice pauses for laughter from the crowd and then continues when the laughter dies down.

Simply because Hector accepted that challenge from him, he will be someone that people know here in WCF. He will be someone that the fans one day give a damn about. Next question...
