They cut to a scene where Conviction and a few friends are walking from the floor of the Taj Mahal casino in Atlantic City. They continue to the elevator and back to their suite. Conviction’s phone rings as the screen turns into a double screen with Hank Brown on the other line.
Hank Brown: Conviction, Hank Brown here wondering if I can get a word or two about tonight’s match.
Conviction: What do you mean? What match?
Hank Brown: ummm… your tag team match tonight on Slam. You know, the one between you and Ace Slaughter against Fort Knox and Hector Rodriguez?
Conviction: Tonight? It’s only Sunday! Where the hell is this taking place?
Hank Brown: Baltimore?
Conviction: Oh wow. Really Lucked out there. I guess I’ll be there in a few hours.
Hank Brown: Conviction, where are you? What are you doing? And how did you not even know that you had a match tonight?
Conviction: Well remember last week when I told you me and Gillie were gonna go party after my win? Well we haven’t stopped since. When you’re raking in the money here like I’ve been all week, you can’t just walk away. But apparently Slam has been moved up a day, so I guess I’m gonna have to leave a day early. I talked to Seth Lerch earlier in the week. He told me that I was in the United States title match at Ten. He never mentioned anything about teaming with Slaughter this week on Slam, or even that Slam was a day earlier this week.
Conviction is getting his things together and starts heading to the parking lot with one of his friends.
Conviction: Hey guys I’ll catch ya later. Hit me up and let me know what’s good then.
They walk down and have the valet get the car. They get into the car and begin to drive. Conviction is in the passenger seat.
Conviction: Well Hank, I give you a hard time a lot. But I think I owe you one for letting me know about my match tonight. Question is, why am I teaming up with Ace Slaughter?
Hank Brown: It’s a chance for all three of you guys to get into the ring together before Ten. He put you two against Knox and Hector because well you both hate Hector and the bad blood you and Knox have been showing against each other. Apparently Ace Slaughter has been going through some frightening transformations. Any words on that?
Conviction: Nah I haven’t been keeping up on that. I do know he is one whacked out individual. But I guess it is better to have him team with me to rip apart Hector and Small Cox Fort Knox. I wasn’t exactly thrilled about him and Hector trying to settle their little spat during my match. I got the win, not the way I wanted to, but a win is a win. Luckily for me that got me into the United States title match. But we’ll deal with that next week after Slam.
Hank Brown: So you aren’t at all worried that your partner may turn on you? I don’t see how you can be comfortable going into a match teaming with a guy you are going to face in just a week.
Conviction: Like I said, we’ll settle that next week. If he wants to take a shot or two at me during the match, I’ll end his shit quick. He may be the United States Champion but I’m the baddest man in the WCF. We have a similar motive in this match. Like you said, we both hate Hector. Hector, if you think me busting you open last week was anything, imagine what is going to happen when both me and Slaughter get you. You may not make it to Ten. I should unmask you and show you for the coward that you are. You’re a nobody, and it’s going to stay that way around here. We are gonna knock you around all night tonight, and then do the same at Ten. You won’t need to worry about new managers, old managers, Don King, or Don Bradley.
Hank Brown: Did you hear? Hector plans to unveil his new manager next week at Ten!
Conviction: Couldn’t care less. The man is a coward. The big dumb retard goes flying around off the ropes like he’s 180 pounds. The taco boy is gonna be abused. He’s gonna regret ever coming at me, or Slaughter.
Hank Brown: And what about his partner, the one and only Fort Knox?
Conviction: You mean Sucks Cox? This whiney little rich dude needs to learn a lesson. No one cares about his money, or where he’s come from. He can go to a Japanese dojo, Tennessee Wrestling Academy, and a Chinese buffet and I’m still going to knock him out. He talks a big talk for someone who just isn’t that good. When we get to the ring tonight, Lessons will be learned. Hector will learn just how bad it is going to be for him at Ten, and Fort Knox will learn that little pups shouldn’t ever get in the ring with the big dogs. It’s a shame for him that he got in this match. We may end his career before it ever really gets started. Slaughter himself could do damage, but that is nothing compared to what I am going to do. Knox, this ends with us after tonight. After tonight you will know never to come at me. And Hector, tonight is just another night that I get to whoop your ass. If you thought it was bad when you were bleeding all over the place last week, wait until tonight.
Hank Brown: Well Conviction I thank you for your time and good luck with your match tonight.
Conviction: Alright man, I owe you one. I’ll see you in a couple hours.
They hang up their phones as the screen fades and the scene ends.
