The video cuts on in a limo as Hector Rodriguez and Don Bradley head towards the arena for this week's Slam. Don Bradley is going through his Blackberry when the ringer on it goes off. Don Bradley looks down at the name on it. It's Roger Hunt.
Don Bradley
Roger?
Don Bradley hits a button on the Blackberry and then puts it up to his ear.
Don Bradley
Hey, Roger. What's going on? We just left the building.
Don Bradley smiles.
Don Bradley
Already? He's already said something? Man, this guy doesn't waste his time. He said what? He's talking shit about his mask and the fact that he doesn't talk much? Jeez, how many guys have to run their ignorant mouths about his mask and lack of speaking before people finally get it. You know, it's funny that he referred to Hector as a dumbass when he's climbing into the ring with a man he knows nothing about, but talks like he knows everything about him. Hector Rodriguez is a throwback to the lucha libre style. That's why he wears a mask and he doesn't talk much because it would be a waste of time since he's not comfortable enough in front of the camera speaking English without throwing in some Spanish occasionally. He's not from America, he's not from an English speaking country and yet this dope wants to run his mouth like he knows him. Hector is a coward and a puppet?
I'm going to say it now and then I'll say it later if I see Hank Brown or Lucious Jackson or any of the others, but some of the greatest wrestlers in our sport weren't talkative on the microphone. They had managers and some wore masks. See, I've noticed a pattern with all these people who run around badmouthing people like Hector. They all have something in common. They're loudmouths. Hector does his talking in the ring and people like Conviction do his talking on the microphone. That's going to be proven tonight when Hector plants his ass in the middle of the ring and pins him. Hector isn't just going in there to answer a challenge from a rookie. He's going out there to shut up this loudmouth. He's going out there to send a message to all the other rookies of WCF who want to come in here and challenge him. After tonight, that's not going to happen anymore because people are going to realize that they've bitten off more than they can chew. Let this ignorant piece of trash run his mouth about the mask. He doesn't understand the significance, I'm sorry maybe I should use the word importance instead of significance in case his tiny little brain can't handle my big words.
Yeah, Roger. This guy has pissed me off because he thinks he's being slick and pointing out all these things about Hector when he's nothing more than a shmuck. He won't amount to anything here. He'll be here, Hector will plant him and he'll no-show like most of the other big mouths do. What? Hank said that Mr. Jackson will be Hector's manager tonight? Yeah, maybe people...Hank included...should pay attention. I will be his manager until his United States title match at TEN. Mr. Jackson was good and all, he did a good job, but he's not the right fit for Hector. Yeah, if anyone calls and asks you tell them I said that.
Yeah, we're pulling in now. No, we'll watch the interview when we get in there to the lockerroom. It doesn't matter anyway. Conviction is coming in here acting like Hector is the one with something to prove when Hector has been out there each week. Who the hell knows anything about Conviction? He's nothing more than a random clown off the street. He thinks because Hector wears a mask, has a mouthpiece and lost a few matches that he stands a chance against him. This is a new side of Hector Rodriguez. Conviction is a shmuck who thinks that the name on everyone's lips will be Conviction after tonight. The only way that will be possible is if they're talking about the carnage that Hector leaves in that ring tonight. I can promise you and everyone else that after tonight's Slam goes off the air, Hector Rodriguez will be on everyone's mind and on everyone's lips. And he won't be there in a bad way. Conviction is dead set on Rodriguez being a coward yet who was it that accepted the challenge and wanted the match this week?
Conviction wants a war, he'll get one from the Mexican War Machine. Hector will win again tonight and continue his dominant streak here in WCF in 2010. 2010 will be the year of Hector Rodriguez. To use a comment from Mr. Jackson's interview earlier, Conviction is nothing more than a mere speed bump in Hector's road to victory. He will see tonight that he can't just waltz in here and pick a fight, expecting to win. Well, maybe he can, but not with Hector Rodriguez. Picking a fight with him is a losing battle. Conviction is a big mouth and you know what they say...the bigger the mouth, the more crow they can eat.
The door to the limo is opened up as it comes to a stop and Hector Rodriguez steps out of the limo.
Don Bradley
Yeah, I'll contact the next interview. We'll get them in the office sometime next week. When they say they'll be available, I'll let you or Annie know.
Don Bradley hangs up the phone as the video fades out.
Don Bradley
