From the diary of Masaya Mikami
Finally, one that should stick. This week, I get to end someone's career for real. After all, Seth Lerch made this match, so there won't be any phony contracts this time. Of course, we all know about Seth's past legal screw-ups, but I imagine he's learned his lesson and gotten some real lawyers.
It makes sense that I would be selected for this task. Not because I was gypped out of the Steve Carr retirement - as if management cares - but because I'm the reason Ryan Daniels is in this situation to begin with. No one could possibly disagree that I'm the reason he looks like such a miserable failure in the first place. Not only has he never beaten me, but when he was next to me in tag matches, it only served to make him look even worse by comparison, to say nothing of all the winnable matches he lost for us.
All I have to do is beat him in ten minutes. I'd be surprised if all my previous matches against him didn't take much less than that. If he's smart, he'll just lie down. After all, his effort over his time here shows that he doesn't really want to be here. I'm not one to give advice to my opponents, but if he were here, I'd say not to take any risks. If he tries, even if he doesn't get injured, he might actually hang in there just long enough and ruin everything for himself. Sure, it looks bad on the resume for whatever backwater independent company he'll go to next, but hey, he's from Hollywood. I'm sure he can fake an injury. He's probably had enough of them over the years.
Besides, it seems like he's not cut out for this wrestling thing. Then again, maybe he doesn't think he can do anything else. What a shame.
