Just before slam goes off the air Hank Brown can be seen with a mic standing outside a dressing room door with Conviction’s name across the door. Against his better judgment, Hank hesitantly knocks on the door for permission to enter. He receives no response to his knock. Hank looks back with a wide eyed, scared look in his eyes. Hank reluctantly cracks the door and slowly and continues to open there door. There sits Conviction on a couch watching a replay of a segment of slam aired previously in the night. Conviction doesn’t even acknowledge Hank Brown’s entrance.
Hank Brown: Conviction, Would I possibly be able to get a word or two from you in regards to next week’s match between you and the number one contender for the United States title, The Mexican Machine, Hector Rodriguez?
Conviction then turns from the television and eyes Brown with a cold stare. He then begins to speak.
Conviction: What the hell are you doing in here? Did I say you could come in?
Hank Brown: (frightened)Nnn.. nn no sir. I’m sorry. I’ll just be leaving now. (turns for the door)
Conviction: Where the hell are you going? You already made the mistake of coming in here. If I really wanted to I would have beaten you to a bloody pulp as soon as you walked in here. I’m only gonna ask you one more time though… What the hell are you doing in here? (picks the remote for the television up in anticipation of pressing play on the paused Slam segment he was previously watching.)
Hank Brown: Well last week you called out Hector Rodriguez. You let him know that you would be waiting for him to step up and challenge you. Well before his match tonight he made it known that he will take you on next week on Slam. He then followed that up with a huge momentum builder by winning his match to become the number one contender for the United States Title. What do you have to say in regards to him.
Conviction then presses play on the television. The segment of Hank Brown interviewing Don Bradley and Hector Rodriguez about Conviction begins to play.
(Hank Brown: Ok, well, how would you respond to Conviction's words this week where he challenged Hector?
Don Bradley smirks.
Don Bradley: The new guys always either go after the champions or the big dog in the yard. Despite Tank Reaper having a size advantage, it's quite obvious that Hector is the big dog in the yard and this Conviction fella thinks if he can take down Hector that he'll be destined for greatness here in WCF.
Hank Brown: So, are you accepting the challenge?
Don Bradley: You know what? I'm responding with my own challenge. Conviction, if you're so intent on receiving a beating in one of your first matches here in WCF, then how about you go one-on-one with the Mexican Machine next week on Slam?
Hank Brown looks surprised.
Hank Brown: Are you serious? You'd want to face him next week?
Don Bradley points at Hector.
Don Bradley: Does this look like a face that shows fear?)
Conviction again pauses the Slam show and begins to speak.
Conviction: Look at this clown, Don Bradley. The guy stands next to the Mexican Retard, Hector Rodriguez. Hector can’t or won’t speak for himself. Either way the guy stands there looking like a puppet while Don Bradley’s mouth is writing a check, the Hector Rodriguez’s body cannot cash. As for Hector being “the big dog” in the WCF… Besides his win tonight that was controversial to say the least, from what I’ve heard Hector has taken the choke and lost every big match he’s ever been in. Don Bradley constantly talks about Hector being bigger than nearly everyone here in the WCF. Who cares? It’s the size of the fight in the dog, not the size of the dog in the fight. And to put it even more blunt, on Hector Rodriguez’s best day he cannot outwrestle, and outfight me. I was destined for greatness long before I’ve come across Hector Rodriguez. You will be just a very miniscule challenge, on my way to the WCF world title. You will be in the WCF record books. You’ll be in the books as the first person to meet their judgment day and be beaten by Conviction here in the WCF. And that, mi amigo, I can promise you.
Conviction starts to play the slam airing again.
(Don Bradley: Conviction, if you want your career ended as soon as it starts, then by all means accept the challenge and face Hector Rodriguez next week!)
Conviction gives a slight heh while turning off the taping of the show.
Conviction: I tell ya what dude this Don Bradley fool is funny. He just shows that they have no idea who or what they are up against. My career started a looong long time ago. Fate just so happened to destine me to come here and be the WCF World Champion. And that will be happening in the future. It took the Mexican Jumping Bean, or Spanish Taco or whatever the Hell it is they call him..
Hank Brown: That’s the Mexican Machine
Conviction: Whatever… it took him cheating, and being luckier than a powerball winner to win his match tonight. In my eyes D-Day is the true number one contender for that US Title. Anyway, after I get through with him next week on Slam, he’ll be lucky if he even makes it to Ten. And when I’m done with him I’m going looking for WCF gold. And to the Mexican Retard, Hector Rodriguez, Your days are numbered. It won’t be long until your judgment day is upon us. And on your judgment day next week at Slam ,Hector, you will be Convicted.
Hank Brown: Well there you have it. Strong words from the man they call Conviction.
Hank Brown goes to exit the dressing room as the screen fades to black.
