Anastasia Petrova is pulling cookies out of her oven.
Anastasia: Mmm, these smell delicious.
She placed the cookie tray on the cooling rack and turned to the kitchen island holding plates of the already cooked and cooled off cookies.
Anastasia: Damn, I made a lot more than I was planning too. Hmm, what am I going to do with these many cookies?
The phone rang and Anastasia removed her apron and oven mitt and walked to the phone. She picked up the phone.
Anastasia: Hello?
Person on phone: ...
Anastasia: Hello?
Person on phone: ...
Anastasia: Can I help you?
Person on phone: *click*
Anastasia put the phone back down.
Anastasia: God dammit, I hate hang up calls.
She turned around and went back to the cooling rack. She began to pull the still warm cookies off the tray and and put them on a holiday themed plate. She then put saran wrap over them and put them on the kichen island along with the other cookies.
The phone rings again.
Anastasia: This person better talk!
She answers the phone.
Anastasia: Hello?
Person on phone: ...
Anastasia: C'mon, what do you want?
Person on phone: ...
Anastasia: ...
Person on phone: *click*
Anastasia: Jesus Christ!
Anastasia returns the phone back to its cradle. She angrily walks back to the kitchen island.
Anastasia: I swear to God if that person calls back... Argh!
She looked over her many cookies, trying to decide how she would get rid of them.
Anastasia: I'll call Serena.
The phone rings for the third time.
Anastasia: That better be someone willing to talk.
Anastasia walks to the phone, picks up the receiver and just listens.
Person on phone: ...
Anastasia: ...
Person on phone: ...
Anastasia: Look I can hear you breathing.
Person on phone: ...
Anastasia: I'm going to hang up and call the police if you don't answer me.
Person on phone: *click*
Anastasia: You fucking asshole! Fucking bastard!
She hangs up the phone. The phone rings again.
Anastasia: What the fuck do you want?
Serena: Geez, what's your problem today?
Anastasia: Some fucking asshole keeps calling and not saying anything. It's really fucking annoying.
Serena: I'm sorry. Maybe it's just some kids who have nothing better to do.
Anastasia: Well, they better find something to do before I call the police!
Serena: Well, either way I was calling because Catherine is having a small get together at her house in three days and I was curious if you wanted to come with me.
Anastasia: Three days? Sure I guess. I have to start getting ready for my match! But yea, I can be there!
Serena: Okay! Great! Oh and your match, who are you up against? And see I told you you could beat Price! Way to go on that!
Anastasia: Yea, thanks! And I'm against D-Day, Prince Jimmy Dean, Anthrax, and some new chick, her name is Zoey Marilou. So, I'm hoping it'll go well. I feel like I'm going to be on a winning streak so I feel good about the match. But it's hard to tell when there are new people and all. I don't know, she could be a really great wrestler.
Serena: That's a lot of people! And c'mon you're a great wrestler too! It'll be an interesting match. Good luck with that!
Anastasia: Thanks! I plan on it going well! Oh, yea, also...
All of a sudden a loud crash occurs just outside Anastasia's front door. Glass was heard shattering and the door made a loud thump.
Serena: What the hell was that?
Anastasia: What the hell?
Anastasia runs to the front of her house. When she gets to her front door she notices broken glass and she opens up the front door. On the front door is a huge gash, the wood splintered. Anastasia runs onto her porch and sees a car speeding away.
Serena: Anastasia? Anastasia?! What's going on? What happened? Should I call the cops? Should I come over?
Anastasia: No, no, no, it's alright.
Anastasia turns back around and looks at the front door from the outside. All along the porch are bricks and two bricks are inside the house.
Anastasia: It looks like some kids decided it would be fun to throw bricks at my front door and the windows. God, first the annoying hang ups and now this.
Serena: Yea, that sucks. Do you want me to come over and help you clean up?
Anastasia: Yes, please, that would be great. I would definitely enjoy the help cleaning this mess up!
Serena: I'll be over soon!
Anastasia hung up the phone and surveyed the mess.
Anastasia: Guess I should go get my broom and a dust pan. Ugh, this is not how I wanted to spend my day!
She went back into her house and got her dust pan. She then ventured into her garage to grab her broom. Once she was back at her front porch she began to push all the glass and splintered wood into one spot. After twenty minutes of sweeping, she had two piles, one inside the house and one on the porch. As Anastasia began to sweep the piles into the dust pan she heard Serena pull her car into the driveway.
Anastasia: Thank God, she's here!
Anastasia put down the broom and the dust pan and walked down her sidewalk to Serena's car.
Anastasia: Hey there!
Serena: Hey! So, how bad is the damage?
Anastasia: Ugh, don't even ask!
Serena and Anastasia walked to the front porch.
Serena: Oh my God! Look how much glass there is!
Anastasia: I know, I know... Ugh, there is so much more work to do!
Serena: Ok, do you want me to dispose of the glass and wood splinters or do you want me to call the window people and all that?
Anastasia: Oh, I don't know, gosh...
Serena: I'll go get the phone and the phone book.
Serena walked into the house and walked to the living room, Anastasia followed right behind her.
Anastasia: I'll go get the phone book. I'll call them, that is if you don't mind cleaning up the glass.
Serena: No, no, that's fine. I wouldn't wanna give them the wrong information.
Anastasia walked into the kitchen and grabbed the phone book from the bottom drawer of one of the cabinets. She flipped the book open to the yellow pages under windows. She began to glance over the pages and read the ads and names of businesses. She then took the book out to the front porch.
Anastasia: Serena! I don't know which one to pick!
Serena: I don't know, find the one closest to here! Hahah! I don't know how to pick it either!
Anastasia: Hahah, alright let's see here. I'm going to choose Pella's Windows and Doors. This way I can get both services from one place.
Serena: Sounds good!
Anastasia dialed the number.
Man: Pella Windows and Doors, how can I help you?
Anastasia: Hi, I have an issue. I need two new windows and a new front door. Some kids through bricks through my windows and at my door. The windows are all busted up and the door is splintered and doesn't work for me.
Man: Okay, well that can be dealt with today. What kind of windows did you have installed?
Anastasia: I don't know, what they're called. Just those side windows on either side of the front door.
Man: Um, okay, I think I can help you, just describe the way they look to me.
After another 20 minutes on the phone, Anastasia hung up with the man from Pella.
Serena: So?
Anastasia: So, men will be coming out here in about an hour to an hour and a half. They'll install new side windows and a new front door for me. But I have to run to the bank so that I have cash to pay them and all. Did you want to wait here in case they come? Or do you wanna run to the bank and get cash for me?
Serena: I'll run to the bank! I just need your pin, your card, and how much you want taken out?
Anastasia: No problem!
Anastasia turned and walked back into the house. Five minutes later, Anastasia was waving good bye to Serena.
Anastasia: Now, I'll just wait! Hahah.
Anastasia sat down on one of the chairs on her front porch. In twenty minutes, Serena was back with the money in her hand. They both sat out on the front porch drinking a glass of wine. Forty minutes after that the men from Pella Windows and Doors arrived. Anastasia set down her wine glass and walked out to greet the men.
Anastasia: Hi!
Pella Man: Hello, Miss Petrova, I'm assuming?
Anastasia: That would be me!
Pella Man: Alright, well this shouldn't be too, too long.
The men took the windows up to the front porch and looked at the front door and side windows. The men then brought the new front door and set it on the porch.
Serena: Personally, I like this new door better than the old one!
Anastasia: Actually I do too! It looks great!
After an hour, the men were gone and Serena and Anastasia were outside looking at the new windows and door. The snow began to fall around them.
Serena: Perfect timing!
Anastasia: Yea, exactly what I was thinking! Haha, I would've been so pissed this entire time if we would have had to do it in the snow! Let's go inside!
Serena: Sounds good!
Anastasia and Serena went inside the house and took off their jackets.
Serena: It smells delicious in here!
Anastasia: Yea, I know I baked cookies all morning. I just got the last ones out of the oven and onto a plate before the hangup calls and the bricks through the window. Do you think I should take them to Catherine's? I don't know what I'm going to do with this many cookies!
Serena: Yea, bring them along, I'm sure the girls will eat them up!
Anastasia: Sounds good!
Serena: You know I was thinking, the hangup calls and the bricks, they could all be from the same person.
Anastasia: You think so?
Serena: I mean that's a big coincidence for that to happen at the same time!
Anastasia: I guess so. I'm just so annoyed that, ugh, I don't even want to think about it!
Serena: You know, I heard of this thing called gangstalking.
Anastasia: Gangstalking?! What the hell?
Serena: Yea, go check it out online.
Anastasia and Serena went to the computer and looked up gangstalking. Anastasia saw a site, www.freedomfchs.com and clicked on it.
Anastasia: Freedom from Covert Harassment and Surveillance?!? What the hell?
Anastasia inspected the site further with Serena reading over her shoulder.
Serena: This is just crazy! I was expecting it to be like a certain group of people who just looked through the phonebook and found someone to pick on for the day.
Anastasia: Yea, this is weird! I'm pretty sure I know I'm not being targeted by a group sent by the government or anything like that. These peoples stories are insane!
Serena and Anastasia began laughing while looking at the site. They spent about an hour reading testimonies and reading different newsletters.
Anastasia: I cannot read anymore of this crazy shit! Hahahaha!
Serena: I know! Hahaha! Why did I ever tell you about this?!? Hahaha!
Anastasia: Fuck, this day has been weird!
Serena: I know! I know! Hopefully tomorrow will be a better day!
Anastasia: Tomorrow is my match!
Serena: Oh, you know you'll do fine! You'll be great!
Anastasia: I hope so!
Serena: Well, I'll head out and let you get some well needed sleep!
Anastasia: Thanks for coming by and helping me out! Hopefully those kids never come back! God, those fucking assholes!
Serena: Yea, just calm down, focus on your match!
Anastasia walked Serena to her car.
Anastasia: Be safe driving. I didn't realize how much snow was out here! Call me when you get home!
Serena: I will, I will. Don't worry about me, I'll get home, safe and sound!
Anastasia went back inside and got a glass of vodka and ice.
Anastasia: Oh, this day...
Anastasia turned on the television set and turned on some music channel.
Anastasia: Tomorrow's my match! I will win! I've just got to!
The phone rang 25 minutes later. Anastasia picked up the handset.
Anastasia: Hello?
Serena: I'm home!
Anastasia: Good to know! How was the drive?
Serena: It was a little slippy out there, lots of snow!
Anastasia: Well, I'm glad you made it home safe!
Serena: Me too. Good luck tomorrow! Night!
Anastasia: Thank you! See you in three days!
Anastasia hung up the phone, finished off her glass of vodka, and headed to bed.
Anastasia: Tomorrow is a big day!
She clicked off the light.
Anastasia: Mmm, these smell delicious.
