The video cuts on to reveal a studio set up for an interview. Seated on one side is WCF's own Zach Davis. On the other side are three men, Hector Rodriguez, Carlos Estrada, and Hector's agent Don Bradley. The make-up artist is just finishing up on Zach Davis when he realizes the cameras are rolling and waves her away. She briskly walks off camera as Zach turns to the camera.
Zach Davis
Zach Davis here for WCF. I was asked to personally interview one of tonight's participants in the Hellimination match here in tonight's Helloween pay-per-view. I know the show is coming up in a couple of hours so I won't sit here and make this some hour-long interview.
Carlos Estrada nods in agreement.
Zach Davis
First, I'd like to thank all three of you for the opportunity to speak to you before tonight's big match.
Carlos Estrada waves Zach away.
Carlos Estrada
No problem, Senor Davis. It es our pleasure to be interviewed by such a fine commentator in the Wrestling Championship Federation.
Zach Davis
Thanks for the compliment. The reason why Mr. Lerch had me interview you is because aside from his tag team match with Logan a couple of weeks ago, we haven't really heard from Hector. He showed up to his match last week, but like I said, he's not really said anything on camera. We also saw him try to attack Seth Lerch the other week, but was unsuccessful due to security. I think the question I have here is what has been going on the last couple of weeks in the world of Hector Rodriguez?
Don Bradley
Excellent question, Zach. Hector, here, he's had a lot on his mind. He's had a lot to think about. You mentioned that he tried to attack Seth Lerch the other week, and that was nothing more than revenge for the other week when Hector was attacked in his match with Jay Price and Seth joined the Team of Torture. Mark my words, Hector WILL get his hands on Seth Lerch and get revenge on him. You mentioned that Hector hasn't been heard from since his tag team match with Logan.
A look of annoyance spreads across the face of Carlos Estrada.
Zach Davis
Yes, a lot of people are wondering how exactly Hector and the rest of you feel about Logan's usage of a steel chair and the subsequent disqualification loss he caused his team. That was definitely something that I'm sure is against Hector's belief of how one should conduct themselves in a wrestling match.
Don Bradley
Yeah, Hector was pretty pissed off after it happened and once everyone was back behind the curtain and in the back away from the prying eyes of the media and the fans, Hector, Logan, and Carlos here exploded on each other and started arguing. Logan was trying to defend his actions and Carlos was arguing with Logan while Hector jumped up and knocked his chair over in surprise and then started babbling in some of the ol' Espanol, which no one could understand aside from Carlos himself.
Carlos glances at Hector who shrugs.
Zach Davis
So is there, as the saying goes, trouble in paradise in the camp of Hector Rodriguez and Logan? Rumor has it that there is talk of both men walking away from each other after the incident the other week.
Don Bradley shakes his head.
Don Bradley
No, that's exactly what you said it was: a rumor. There isn't any real trouble in paradise so to speak. Luckily I was there in the back and was able to diffuse the situation before it got out of hand and became a problem. After about two or three days I got the three men together in a room and we talked it out. Logan said something about fighting fire with fire which set off both Hector and Carlos again. I calmed the three men down and I actually sided a little with Logan's reasoning.
Zach Davis
So you think there was nothing wrong with the steel chair being used?
Don Bradley
No, that's not what I'm saying. Look, you have the Team of Torture. There's like half a dozen of them in one group. They hold two of the title belts and could hold a third one if Torture wins the tag team title tonight with Slickie T. And then speaking of Slickie T, there's big rumors that he's joining the Team of Torture. Hector and Logan can't just sit around being goody two shoes and obeying all the rules. I mean if Slickie T goes to ToT, who does that leave aside from Logan and Hector to defend WCF? Pretty much the only other opposition to the group is their tag team partners tonight in the Hellimination match. Also, who's to say who else in WCF will join them? It's becoming obvious by Seth Lerch joining ToT and Slickie T actually considering their offer that the path to least resistance is in joining the group.
Plus it becomes even less resistance by joining them due to both the world champion and the owner of the company being in the group together. There hasn't been such a tight stranglehold on this company since the days of Grave Digger and his Darkside running the company. It took the top men of the company to overcome his group and wrest away the control. It looks like it's going to once again take the top talent here in the company, that's not in ToT mind you, to do the same here, too.
The federation is under control by the Team of Torture. When Seth Lerch joined the group, that officially marked the beginning of the war. War, the pay-per-view was when war itself was declared upon WCF, the next week in the main event between Hector and Jay Price, the first shot was fired when Seth joined them. It is time at Helloween for the rest of WCF to step up and repel ToT It is time for the rest of WCF to fight fire with fire. It took me a while to get through to Carlos and Hector on this point and they still don't completely agree, but...
Don Bradley turns to Hector and Carlos who look at him.
Don Bradley
I promise you that the more you refuse to bend the rules and fight back, the more you'll regret it. Hector, you have said from day one that you wanted to rid this company of disrespectful people, well now you're backed into a corner and unless you start fighting dirty, the disrespectful people will win.
Don Bradley stands up and Zach Davis looks at him.
Don Bradley
Now, if you gentlemen will excuse me, I have some business to attend to. Once I'm finished, I'll meet you two in the lockerroom. Mr. Davis, it was a pleasure.
Don Bradley sticks his hand out and shakes with Zach Davis. Don Bradley leaves the room and Zach Davis turns to Carlos and Hector.
Zach Davis
Well, that was a surprise to hear. How do you guys feel about the things he said.
Carlos Estrada
We are still thinking about it. He brings up the valid points, but we are still unsure if it is the road we want to head down.
Zach Davis
That's understandable. So, let's get onto tonight's match. You'll be facing off against Mikami, Ryan Daniels, Anthrax, and TV champion Jay Price.
Carlos sneers at the mention of Jay Price.
Carlos Estrada
I want to speak on the self-proclaimed South Street Menace Jay Price. He's still running his mouth about how he hit Hector with a chair. You want to brag about how you put him in the hospital from your repeated chair shots. You talk the trash about how Hector shouldn't brag about that match, but please tell the fans on the televisions why he shouldn't brag about it? The almighty South Street Menace Jay Price who is supposedly a god in the ring couldn't take on someone like Hector Rodriguez all by himself. You couldn't defeat Hector by yourself. You couldn't beat him clean in the ring. You were on the verge of being pinned for the first time in your WCF career and had to have help to avoid a clean pin in the ring. How much offense did you actually put forth in that match? Almost none at all. You were being tossed around and beaten like a red-headed step child.
You say that Hector shouldn't brag about a match where he ended up being beaten in the head with a steel chair, but I think it's you who shouldn't be bragging about a match where you were being beaten down and constantly one-upped and then had to resort to using an illegal weapon to scrape by. You, Jay Price, are nothing but a loud-mouthed coward. You still want to brag as if you have gone onto greater things than Hector. What greater things have you gone onto? You are still fighting people earlier on the shows than Hector Rodriguez. The whole time you've been in the WCF, the only time you haven't been seen on the show way earlier than Hector was when you were actually in the ring with him. By simply wrestling him you were moving up the ladder here in WCF. You brag about championship gold when you hold a title that has to be defended each week by talent lower on the WCF rankings.
Hector is wrestling against the most recent World champions and US champions while you are practically curtain-jerking each week. Aside from the War match, the only time you share the ring with the most recent champions is when you are in the ring with Hector Rodriguez. You stand there running your mouth acting like you're tired of being in the ring with Hector Rodriguez, but the truth is that you love it and you enjoy the opportunity, because you know it means you will be given more exposure here in the company. Hector is one of the most talked about rookies at the moment and the only reason you're even talked about as much as he is is because you're in Torture's group. Without Torture, you would simply be the guy referred to as the TV champion.
Zach Davis
Wow, you really don't like Jay Price do you?
Carlos Estrada
No, he's some little punk who thinks he's bigger and better than he is. He's just the one with the biggest mouth. He has a microphone in one hand running his mouth about being the greatest while he has a pair of brass knuckles or a steel chair in the other prepared to make sure he gets by each week.
Zach Davis
Well, what do you think about the rest of his team? Anthrax, Mikami, and Ryan Daniels.
Carlos Estrada
They made a mistake the day they joined the Team of Torture. Hector hasn't had the best of luck his last three or four matches, but that's about to turn around. It's true that his last matches weren't all losses and two of them had disqualifications happen in them, but that will change tonight. Hector, Logan, Petrova and Doc Henry will retaliate for all the problems the Team of Torture has caused the WCF so far. Hector has Respectos lined up for each member of the Team of Torture and then will be ready to represent his people with the Toluca Slam and the Toluca Drop. See, the thing is, if you look back it seems as if though the Team of Torture is a cohesive unit, while Hector and Logan's team isn't on the same page. I'm here now to tell you that this is not true. We all met earlier and talked about recent events. Any indication that the team isn't on the same page is nothing but mere propaganda on the part of Seth Lerch, the man with the ability to control what you see and what you hear on WCF programming.
The video fades.
Zach Davis
