The scene opens with a television set resting on top of a cart in an abandoned warehouse. The cameraman is holding the camera, obviously a handheld due to the shaky handling, facing the television screen. The screen is black but suddenly comes to life. The scene on the TV is from the end of the movie "The Dark Night" and the Joker is hanging upside down on the end of Batman's grappling hook.
“You… you just couldn’t let me go could you? This is what happens when an unstoppable force meets an immovable object. You are truly incorruptable aren’t you. You won’t kill me because of some misplaced sense of self-rightousness. And I won’t kill you because…you’re just too much fun. I get the feeling that you and I are destined to do this forever.”
The scene is suddenly paused and the camera is turned around....revealing the smirking face of Jay Price.
Price: Granted you aren't Batman and I'm not The Joker, but Hector my friend, you and I seem to be going down the same path as them. Week in and week out it seems that you and I are constantly butting heads, trying to one-up each other in a struggle for supremacy. And it seems that you and I are on pace to keep this rivalry going on for quite some time...unless one of us ends it before it goes that far. This week you have somehow earned yet another opportunity to try and take my Television Championship away from me but do you have what it takes. Oh, by the way, how are you feeling these days? I mean, the last time we met in the ring you ended up taking a ride in an ambulance after I blasted you open repeatedly with a steel chair. Shot after shot until you were left a mess in the center of the ring. Granted I ended up taking the first loss of my career, but I denied you the one thing that you wanted so badly: to pin me in that ring and take my title.
Price sets the camera down on the television stand and walks off to retrieve a chair to sit on. When he comes back he sets the chair up in front of the camera and sits down, continuing to talk.
Price: Hector you and I are so much alike but at the same time we are the complete opposites of each other. We came into WCF right around the same timeframe and since then we have both gone on to successful careers. You partnered up with Logan, got yourself a few big wins, and earned yourself quite a fan base. I went on to win the TV Title, picked up some big wins of my own, and left a solid impression on the entire locker room with my WAR performance. I will give you due credit and congratulate you on your success. But once we get past the similarities, the differences between us couldn't paint for a better rivalry. You pride yourself on your fan favorite status. You pander to the masses, soaking up their cheers like a sponge, and go out each week doing whatever it takes to keep them happy. I could give a shit less what these worthless leaches think of me. They've booed me, looked down on me like I was nothing, since the day I arrived here. Why should I show any respect to them? Why should I waste my breath trying to earn their approval, their praise, or their love? I'm not here to entertain the masses or to gain the admiration of 8 year olds that want to dress up so they can be like me. I'm here for one reason and one reason alone: To Win. And if that means I have to do things that piss people off, then so be it. If the fans don't like the fact that I'm a member of the ToT, then f**k them. I don't see them out there in the ring busting their asses for a paycheck. All they do is sit in the seats, feeding their own fatasses, talking shit about things that they don't know the first thing about. Now, back to business.
Price gets back up and walks over to a duffel bag and unzips it. He reaches inside and slowly pulls out the Television Championship, taking his time and making sure that the camera can see it clearly. Price places the championship over his shoulder and walks back over to the chair and sits down.
Price: This right here (Price points at the belt on his shoulder), this is what it's all about on Slam this monday. My Television title is going to be at stake in a tag team match, a match that includes you Hector. And your partner, well she's no stranger when it comes to matches against me either. Anastasia Petrova, once again, is going to have the same opportunity as you. If, and that's a very very big IF, either of you can pin me, that person wins this championship. Now I know there's a lot of talk going on backstage about Slickie T and the ToT not exactly being on the same page, but I can guarantee you that my partner is going to have my back. You see, Slickie and I have one very big thing in common: We're both competitors at the tops of our game. And the thing about real competitors is, we don't take to losing very well. So despite whatever issues there might be, Slickie and I both understand that a win is a win, and that's all we'll be thinking about when we're out there together. Now I think the real question is, how well are you and you're partner going to be able to work together? I know you have respect for Petrova so you might not normally mistrust her. But with the opportunity to pin me and take my championship, how would you feel letting her just take the pin? Do you think you could just stand idly by, watching her take what could be your last opportunity at my gold? I don't think you can Hector, I think deep down you're just as hungry for gold as anyone else in the locker room. I think when it comes down to it, you're going to do whatever it takes to pin me, even if that means keeping your own partner out of the match. I guess we'll just have to wait and see what kind of person you truly are behind that mask Hector. Oh and do make sure that your "friend" Carlos has a good seat for the match, I want him to be able to have a good view of all the "action" first hand.
Price goes to stand back up but seems to be thinking hard about something. He turns back to the chair and sits down, looking directly into the camera with the face of a man torn by his own personal demons.
Price: Anastasia my dear, I almost forgot about you entirely. I spend this whole time talking about this match, and I barely even mention you as being another competitor. Well where are my manners? Let me introduce you to the new Jay Price, the one that you didn't see before in our past matches. You were there in my second match, the biggest match of my career, my defining moment. It was you that I pinned for this Television title, a moment that i'm sure you haven't forgotten. That moment started two things, my eventual run at domination and you're recent string of failure. You had a rematch at WAR, which you lost. You had a chance to show me up in the WAR match, but you were eliminated so quickly you had no time to do anything. And then last week against my tag team partner for Slam, Slickie T, you failed in yet another attempt to salvage what can be called a decent career. Yet despite you're failures I will say that you do have one thing going for you: you're unquestioned beauty. Which is why I'm coming to you with an offer for after our match this week: Let's you and I come together as a team. I don't have a manager or valet and with you're beauty to compliment my ablilities, we could really turn some heads. Think about it, you could align yourself with a winner, which in turn, will make you a winner once again. And don't think that I haven't heard what you've said about me in the past.
"sure he's tough and excellent in the ring. Plus, he's easy on the eyes, okay really easy on the eyes. I'd like to get him into my ring! Okay now this is just making me horny!"
Price: You see, even you admitted in the past that there was an attraction between the two of us. So think it over, take your time with it, and let me know what you think.
Price smirks into the camera before standing up and walking away into the darkness.
