Fade in to Steve Carr backstage at some place where WCF wrestling happens, and he's WALKING!~
Hank Brown appears and matches his pace, holding up a microphone.
Hank: Hey!
Steve Carr: Hey.
Where are we going?
Nowhere in particular. Just pacing around.
Why?
Helps me think.
How did you figure that out?
I don't know. I guess one day I just felt compelled to pace around.
He stops, taking Hank by surprise. He turns around and starts walking in the other direction. Hank follows.
You have to keep up, here.
I'd like to get your thoughts on...
There's really not much more for me to say at this point.
You always have something to say.
Fine. Here goes.
He stops, turns and faces the camera.
Rick Mad better not think I've forgotten about him. Even if I don't get my hands on him in War, he's going to pay for what he did. No matter what Mikami decides. Mikami can wait. If he turns against me, I can take time to prepare. He moves slowly. He has to make sure everything is set up just right before he will act. But the Rick Mad issue has to be settled, and settled soon.
Let me get this straight, Steve...you say you have to prepare for Mikami, a relative newcomer to WCF, yet you can dive right in to a fight against Rick Mad, a long-time veteran?
When did I say anything about fighting either of them?
He starts to walk away again. Hank tries to keep up.
Alright, well, let's say you were going to fight them. Would your strategy be the same?
Yes.
Why?
Point number one, Rick Mad can not be allowed to live one more second than necessary without paying for what he did to me. Point number two, any fight with Rick Mad would just be me beating the crap out of him. That's the right word, fight. It wouldn't be a wrestling match. You don't prepare for a street fight. You just do it. Point number three, anything involving Mikami, on the other hand, is a chess match.
And?
And I suck at chess.
He pushes a door open and exits the scene while Hank stands and ponders. Fade out.
