The Days pass quickly
The sceane opens looking at the Steven Chase his wrinkled hands rubbing on his white beard with a look of concern on his face standing just behind him is Carl still in his stained and ripped clothing holding his heavily bandaged hand with a grimace of pain on his face as he too looks to be watching something closely, its then that there focus is seen its none other than Tyler Straven who is sitting in the centre of a crudely built ring, his shoulder length black hair covering his face the cold steer of his blue eyes just visible he has no shirt on revealing for the first his tattooed cover torso his black wrestling tights with the letters “TS” in red up both sides along with a basic pair of black wrestling boots that appear to be well worn.
The building that the three men are in seems to look like an old warehouse the few lights that are working flicker on and off a few discarded boxes and crates line the walls in one corner of the room and old TV is places on a rickety old table in front of what looks like a couch strait out of the seventies, Its then that Tyler slowly pulls himself up from his sitting position still paying no attention to either Chase or Carl as he makes his way over towards the closest set of ropes and leans over them letting out a deep breath it then that Chase stands up from his seat and makes his way slowly toward Tyler who eyes glance at him for a moment and then speaks.
Tyler Straven: “Five years Chase five years since I’ve stepped in a ring”.
Chase: “You’re over thinking it, it’s like riding a bike you will be fine trust me”.
Tyler Straven: “I hope your right because this is the one night were I can’t afford ring rust to cost me my shot at going straight to the top of the WCF I just can’t”.
Tyler motion Carl over who is hesitant to get to close as Tyler signals for a cigarette witch is promptly given to him along with a lighter. Tyler lights the cigarette and takes a deep drag on it before lowering it again and dismissively waving his hand at Carl who quickly backs away to a safe distance again. Tyler steps out of the rings grabbing a tank top of one of the corner post and puts it on and makes his way towards a fridge in the corner of the building opening it he pulls out a cold beer twisting the top of and throwing it to the ground he quickly gulps back half the bottle before making his way over the couch and taking a seat he motion for Chase to join who does so quickly as Tyler starts to talk.
Tyler Straven: “ I feel it deep inside my bones that my destiny is within reach the only thing that stands between me and the light at the end of the tunnel is twenty nine other men who seem to have made their line in the sand not willing to back down but here is the reality of it all Chase there can only be one man who is right the other’s just saying what they think the people want to hear but sooner or later reality will hit the pipe dream over the question is what do you do when the dream is over, Some will just carry on like nothing happened ignore the fatal flaw in their history then you get somebody like me who prides himself on dissecting every match I have down to the seconds in order to perfect my the talent that I have”.
“There are some out there that call me cocky arrogant even a egomaniac but the truth is I just believe in myself I back myself a hundred and ten percent every dam time I step in that ring I’m constantly evolving learning in order to become the very best that this industry has seen yes even I have stumbled and fell short of many of my goals but every time I have picked myself up and forged ahead learning from the experience the one thing that keeps coming back into my head about this match is that there are so many contrasting styles and experience that will be in that ring on Sunday there is no way anybody can see what will have happened when the dust cloud settles, sure every one of the thirty men has a vision in there head of the ref holding their hand high in victory me I believe the CWF is ready for a new era a change of the guard somebody who will revitalise bring new and innovative thoughts and actions to the table and pull in a whole new generation of fans into this company”.
“My intent this Sunday is simple go out there take the level of respect and ore that this War match has commanded over the years and take it to a whole new level when it’s all said and done Chase I want every single man women child who is sitting in that arena or watching at home to simply say one thing wow and if that doesn’t happen then not only have I failed but so has every sing person that will step in that ring , this is the reality of it all every one of us in this industry step through that curtain every night in the hopes that we will cement our names in history that ten years from now people will say yeah I remember that guy he was the greatest wrestler of his time, but you know what Chase all week the men in this match have been flocking to whatever media outlet would give them five minutes of air time and all but one of them have failed to mention my name as if ignoring me as thou I don’t even exist what they are doing by ignoring me tells me they think I am no threat of no importance when in fact I am biggest unknown factor how can they just write me off like that I just don’t get the thought process the sheer ignorance but it plays into my hands well they have their head stuck in the sand that just give me and opportunity to capitalise on it so be it”.
“Tank Reaper must be the most delusional man walking amongst us to even think for one moment that he would even get a window of opportunity to put me Tyler Straven in a bear hug and then that I would tap out me of all people he doesn’t realize my body may give in but my resolve never dose the day I tap is the day the hell has frozen over, my genetic makeup does not have the quit gene nor will it ever, but he was right about one thing if there is one person who you don’t want to see standing across from you in that ring it’s me because if you do then you dam well know that you are going to be in for the fight of your life maybe even your career if I fell the need to end it on that night”.
“Then you have people like Logan who sit there running of a list of names that they have beaten in the past trying to intimidate all of us with names truth if he were really that impressive the sheer mention of his name would make people like me tremble at the knees he may have one a war a long time ago but there is a new generation that he will face this Sunday one this hungry to make an example out of the stall waltz of this company the men that aren’t willing to let the reins go because like it or not he has had his day in the spotlight and what has he got to show for it now nothing except for his list witch nobody really cares about he thinks that he is the man to bring down the likes of TOT when the truth is he has been here long enough to do so and has failed and what makes matter worse that in realty he has lied to everybody he has no invested interest in bring down Torture and his groupies he is just like the rest of us a one track mind that lead to a chunk of gold and to hide that behind a crusade is almost just laughable in fact I almost fell as if my intelligence has been questioned”.
“This Sunday Chase we write a new chapter we begin the systematic decimation of those who chose to stand in our way the ones that feel they have the divine right to lead but me I am no sheep I can think for myself I can act with no orders I have no morels or feel that I have to act a certain way to conform to what society will accept because I am what they should strive to be a man who believes that what he says and does is the only answer my way is the best way and all of the CWF will soon come to grips with the fact that there future will be in the hands of me and you know what Chase they will at first fight it try to destroy it but when they succumb to it they will realize that everything I do it to make this world of ours better and I will do that by any means necessary”.
