Thursday Sept 24th 5:45 Pm-
The scene begins inside the house of Tyler Derden. We see him outside on his back deck with a beer in hand, relaxing by the pool. A few feet away we see the barbeque smoking, and can hear the sound of sizzling meat. Derden wearing shorts and a t-shirt drains the last few drops from his beer, sets it down and gets up to check on the barbeque. He opens the lid and we see a large t-bone steak cooked almost to a perfect medium rare, just a few more minutes left as Derden flips the steak one last time before closing the lid. Suddenly we hear the ringing of the doorbell in the background...
'WCF's Future' Tyler Derden- 'Mmmm oh I'm gunna eat the shit outta this steak. (Ding, Ding) Awe for Christ sakes. That better be the beer delivery guy, couldn't give me fifteen more minutes to finish my steak. Ah well outta beer anyways..."
Tyler sprints to the front door as the bell keeps ringing in the background.
'WCF's Future' Tyler Derden- "I'm coming, I'm coming.. (Opens the door) Oh it's you, what the hell do you want I'm just about to eat."
Standing at the front door is none other than WCF's top reporter Hank Brown, accompanied by a cameraman. Hank dressed his typical cheap suit and tie, with the camera man in black shorts and a black WCF t-shirt. Mic in hand and a shit eating grin on his face Hank begins to speak...
'WCF's' Hank Brown- "Well Mr. Derden, I’ve been sent here on a special assignment for an interview about last weeks match, and your thoughts about the upcoming War event and pay per view."
'WCF's Future' Tyler Derden- "Right now you gotta do this? Fine whatever hurry up, I don't got time for this bullshit."
'WCF's' Hank Brown- "I assure you Tyler, it's alright if I call you Tyler right? Well I Assure you this will only take a few minutes."
'WCF's Future' Tyler Derden- "Listen jack ass I told you it's Mr. Derden, and if I had time I'd shove my foot so far up your ass it would hit fresh air, now hurry the hell up here."
'WCF's' Hank Brown- "My apologies Mr. Derden, now my first question is what are your thoughts on last Sundays Slam, and further more do you have any comments on Ace Slaughters recent rants about you afterwards?"
'WCF's Future' Tyler Derden- "My thoughts eh, well what can I say about Slam that hasn't already been said? I mean I said from the start that it was a warm up for War. Sure I faced some big boys in the match but there was no real challenge. I did exactly what I said I would and that was to walk out of the Nutter Center with a win. I did what I needed to do and now it's time to move on. Last week means nothing now. Records mean squat when your facing thirty other men in a last man standing match. Last week was a great start but that's just it, it was only the start."
'WCF's' Hank Brown- "Very true Mr. Derden, and any comments about Ace Slaughter?"
'WCF's Future' Tyler Derden- "Who? The name doesn't ring a bell."
'WCF's' Hank Brown- "One of the three men you beat last week. He's still angry about the comments you made about his dead wife."
'WCF's Future' Tyler Derden- "Oh that ass clown, he's still angry about that, it was well over a week ago. I didn't know mongoloids had that good memories. Now do I have any comments? No not really, I'd rather not waste my time worrying about a slob like him, chances are he'll be eliminated from the War the second he hits the ring. If he wants his revenge tell him I'll see him two weeks from now at the next Slam, and for him to not worry about sticking up for his wife’s honour because she's dead anyways, not like loosing to me again will bring her back. It's been four years bud let it go hahaha. Alright next question."
'WCF's' Hank Brown- "Ok, well a few days ago I've been told that you were slightly upset that Johnny Hott got a TV title shot despite the fact that you pinned him in his debut match. Any thoughts or comments?"
'WCF's Future' Tyler Derden- "Wow this again? This is getting blown way outta proportion, so no. No comment."
'WCF's' Hank Brown- "That's it?"
'WCF's Future' Tyler Derden- "Yeah that is it, I'm haven’t been around long enough to start stepping on Seth Lerch's toes. The only thing I gotta say is that Hott won't be walking out with that title. He shouldn't even be mentioned in the same sentence as Price and
Petrova, let alone be aloud in the same ring."
'WCF's' Hank Brown- "Well I'm not to sure about that but we'll have to see come War. Speaking of War do you have any insight on your plans for the big event? You have never been in a match like this is your career, what do you plan to do once you hit that ring?"
'WCF's Future' Tyler Derden- "I plan to do what ever it take to win. This is a huge opportunity to showcase my skills and propel myself into the spotlight here in WCF. I want the win. I want the title shot. The ring will be filled with the best there is in WCF, and this is the best way to show my drive and determination. This isn't the type of match where you wait and pick your opportunity. Doing just that is the quickest way to end up staring up at the lights while the ref counts to three. Guys like Logan, Slickie, Mikami and Greenfever won't sit back and neither will I. These are some of the top guys in this company and I plan on going after them first. Take out the strongest and the weak will follow. I'm not the type of guy to go after the weakest in the heard. Wins and accolades don't make me nervous to fight an opponent. They drive me more to beat that opponent and make everyone believe the hype. I'm not gunna be just some other dorkchop mid-carder. I'm here to make a name for myself. By the time War is over Tyler Derden will be a household name. I'm going for the win, and personally I don't think there is a man in this company that has the drive that I do. Logan may have won this match twice before, and Slickie has the final entry, but all that means is they are both under pressure to walk away with a win. I've got nothing to loose, and everything to gain, and there is nothing more dangerous in this world than a man with nothing to loose."
'WCF's' Hank Brown- "Those are some strong words Mr. Derden. Well I Know your a busy man, so I won't take up any more of your time. Thank you very much. This is Hank Brown signing off."
'WCF's Future' Tyler Derden- "Yeah no problem... Shit my steak!"
As the Hank and his cameraman turn and leave Derden sprints though his house to the back door. We see smoke and flames pouring out the barbeque. Derden grabs a nearby garden hose and puts out the flames. After a short smoke filled battle the camera zooms in on Tyler’s steak which is burnt to a crisp...
'WCF's Future' Tyler Derden- "Sonova bitch! Fucking Hank Brown, I'm gunna shove my boot so far up his ass..."
Derden disposes of the steak, as he keeps mumbling profanities while our scene fades to black...
