Prologue-
Johnny Hott picks Slaughter up and goes for a press slam, but Slaughter slips behind him. Slaughter spins him around and hits a cradle pile driver! The crowd roars as Slaughter pins Hott! ONE! TWO! NO! Tyler Derden kicks Slaughter off now! Derden picks Slaughter up. TK Saves is back on the apron once again, but Derden throws Slaughter into him, sending TK flying to the outside once again. Derden then runs at Slaughter and clotheslines him to the outside as well. Derden turns to Hott, who is stumbling up, and hits the Sound of Madness! Derden quickly falls on top of Hott, pinning him. One! Two! Three!... Derden never one to let opportunity slip through his fingers made Sunday September 20th a night to remember by living up to his word and starting his WCF career off on the right note. With War right around the corner can the up and coming superstar go above and beyond? Can he take his destiny in his own hands by defeating all odds and walking out of War with a win and a title shot? Only time will tell...
Monday Sept 22st 2:30 Pm-
Two days removed from another explosive night of WCF Slam, we open the scene at the home of Tyler Derden in his humble abode just north of the boarder in his home town of Toronto Ontario, Canada. We see Tyler and his trainer Jim throwing a few shots at the punching bag in Tyler's personal gym. Derden is dressed in black workout shorts and a gray tank top that is covered in sweat from an intense workout. We also see Jim dressed close to the same with a red tank on talking to Derden about last weeks Slam as they take a breather from the heavy bag...
'Personal Trainer' Jim- "I still can't get over it Ty, I mean don't get me wrong I never doubted you, but the odds weren't exactly in your favour."
Tyler Derden- "Are they ever?"
'Personal Trainer' Jim- "No, I guess not..."
Tyler Derden- "Exactly, I've been the underdog my whole life. The odds don't decide the winner, they're just based on who looks better on paper. The odds don't take into account someone who has nothing to loose. I did what I always do, and that's whatever it takes to win. I play off my opponents weaknesses, and force them to play into my strengths. It's also a big plus when three of my opponents have the IQ of a house plant, but none the less I put it all on the line. That's what it takes to be the best. Don't get me wrong it was only one match, but I've proved before that I have what it takes to rise to the top, and last week was only the beginning."
'Personal Trainer' Jim- "Well I'm not gunna lie it was a great way to start your WCF career."
Tyler Derden- "A great way? No, it was a good start. Now a win at War in my second WCF career match; now that would be a great way to start a career. I've said before that my win at Slam last week was only a warm up. Hott, Slaughter and Saves they are all jobbers. They weren’t a challenge. They were a joke, and don't even get me started on Hott getting a TV title shot. If that ass clown can't even keep up with me and Slaughter then he has no business in the ring with Petrova and Price, but that's none of my concern. That's a matter for Seth Lerch to take care of."
'Personal Trainer' Jim- "So what, you think after one win they're just gunna toss you a title shot?"
Derden with an unimpressed look on his face walks over to a chair holding a water bottle. He takes a few drinks before clarifying himself to his trainer and long time friend...
Tyler Derden- "I didn't say that, all I said was after starting a career 0-1 by losing in his debut I just didn't think Hott deserves what he got. If I earn it then gimme a shot, I'm not looking for any favours, and besides like I said one match doesn't make a man. Unless that match is War. An event like this sky rockets a career into the atmosphere. Every man that has won the War has gone on to make something of themselves in this company. Gravedigger, Epic, Striker all these men have gone on to not only win the War, but hold the World Title as well. As a matter of fact every man that has won War has held the title. This event only comes once a year for a reason. It's the type of event in which legends are made. No one remembers the guy who came second. The best way to make a mark in this company is to come out on top after all thirty superstars has been in the ring."
'Personal Trainer' Jim- "Winning a match like that definitely won't be easy, but do you think you got a shot Ty?"
Tyler Derden- "Well obviously I got a shot Jim, hell I've got a one in thirty chance of winning this. One in thirty, definitely against the odds Jim, but as I said before the odds don't make a lick of difference. Don't get me wrong it's not gunna be easy, but it's not impossible. Some of the greatest WCF superstars of all-time are going to be in that ring and I have to do what ever it takes to survive. Steve Carr, Johnny Reb, and two time War winner Logan, the best of the best. Not to mention Mikami, Greenfever, Petrova and with Slickie T holding the thirtieth entry spot you know any thing can happen."
'Personal Trainer' Jim- "This isn't a side of you I've ever seen Ty, I’ve trained with you for years and I don't think I've actually ever heard you show any kind of respect."
Tyler Derden- "People change Jim, but I don't think respect is exactly the right word. It's more like giving credit where credit is due. Reb, Mikami, Greenfever are all shit stains in my book, and I look forward to knocking them all down a peg but they have proven themselves as worthy opponents. Honestly the only two people in that list that I actually respect are Logan, and Slickie. Any one who has won two War's and has held as many titles as many times as Logan has deserves the name Mr. WCF, instead of that swamp donkey Torture. The man is a living legend. Being in the same ring and coming out the victor with a guy like that is an accomplishment in it's own. Not that it's not do-able and don't think I haven’t dreamt of making a name for myself by beating his ass down in the ring, but I still give the man my props... Even if he is a little light in the loafers if ya know what I mean. Then there's Slickie. I'm not gunna say he's a man after my own heart, or we have similar styles, but this is another guy I do respect. Outside the ring this is a pretty modest and humble, hard working man. He's not exactly one to step on toes and that may not be my way of doing things but I still understand it. He's paid his dues, and worked his way up to where he is now. He's right on the edge of becoming one of the top stars in this industry. I respect this guy because nothing has been handed to him, and he's had to work for everything he's got. What he does may not always be right, but it must be done to get him one step ahead. Now that's where I think we're similar. We both are willing to go that extra mile, and do whatever it takes. If it takes a few questionable actions to get a step or two ahead, we're both willing to forget about morals for the time being and do what has to be done. But don't get me wrong, if I get a chance I'll take him down the second he gets in that ring."
'Personal Trainer' Jim- "Well there's no denying that Ty, but you still haven’t really answered my first question. Can you do it Ty? Do you believe in yourself? Last week was a big win for you, but this is a completely different ballgame."
Derden takes another gulp from the water bottle before pouring the rest on his head, he then whips the sweat and water off, before heading to the bench to do some presses and continuing the convoy...
Tyler Derden- "See Jim it's not a matter of can I do it, because I can do anything I can put my mind to. Uhh a little help here Jim?"
Jim snaps to after getting lost in the convoy and rushes over to help spot Derden on the press. Derden benching three 45 lbs plates on either side, plus the 45 lbs bar. After about 7 hard reps, Jim struggles to help Derden raise the 315 lbs back to the top. After catching his breath for a moment Derden continues...
Tyler Derden- "It's all a matter of how I'm going to do it Jim. The only way to win is to be at my best. Take out my toughest foes first while my energy levels are still high, keep a pace as to not ware myself out too soon, have eyes in the back of my head and maybe even hope for a little luck on the draw. Obviously I won't be the last to enter, but one of the final few to come out would definitely help. I'm not gunna plan on it, but hey anything could help in a match like this. I'm going to do everything I can to walk out Madison Square Gardens with a win next Sunday. I'm in the best physical shape of my life right now, hell last week I took on two monsters in Slaughter and Hott, and I still dominated the match. I've got the speed, the strength, and the wits to go the distance, and it sure helps that I'm one tough sonova bitch. War's gunna be my time to shine. I want the limelight, I want the glory, and above all... I want the gold. By the time Sundays over, all the smoke has cleared and the dust has settled... Every single member of WCF will have heard... 'THE TRUE SOUND OF MADNESS!!'..."
After his little monologue, Derden stretches his right shoulder out then lays back down and prepares for a second set as the scene ends and the screen slowly fades to black...
Johnny Hott picks Slaughter up and goes for a press slam, but Slaughter slips behind him. Slaughter spins him around and hits a cradle pile driver! The crowd roars as Slaughter pins Hott! ONE! TWO!
