The scene opens up in Gravedigger's lockerroom. Gravedigger walks out of the shower with a towel wrapped around his waist and another towel slung over his shoulder. He's carrying shampoo, a used washcloth and a bar of soap. He smirks at the camera as he walks by it towards his bag. Brian is on a cell phone off to the side speaking quietly into it, handling some issues and Chester is leaning against the wall, his head aimed towards the ground but looking up right at the camera, causing him to look pissed off. He says nothing. Gravedigger puts his stuff up and turns to the camera.
Gravedigger: So, Seth. You finally think you one-upped ol' Gravedigger, huh? You think you finally got to me. You think putting the belts on these Superfans is getting one over on me. You have all these people running around with their little title belts thinking they're somebody special, thinking they impress me. You have all these paper champions who strut around with a belt wrapped around their waist thinking they earned their belts. You have them going around thinking they truly will take any and all challengers. Yet you keep me from getting any real shots at any of them.
You think all this is getting one up on me, but see the thing is Seth...you fucked up. Here we are going to be next week on the 20th of July. Just days away from Ultimate Showdown. Your main event at Ultimate Showdown is Johnny Reb vs. Dake Ken for the world title, but yet next week...you have them in the ring with me and Chester. You have them in the ring...with me. Are you serious? I mean what is really going on in that head of yours? Apparently it's nothing but pure garbage in there. You're putting me in a match with your world champion and the number one contender. Look at me you scum-sucking leech son of a bitch, I'm off right now. I'm freakin messed up in the head right now over all the shit that's gone on in my life. You want to do all these things to screw around with me and then you suddenly do this. Next week the main event of the pay per view could become non-existent. Hell the new main event of the pay per view could become the tag team match.
Johnny Reb. Dake Ken. You two are about to become victims of circumstance. Dake, you can run around talking about how you've faced me once before in the ring, but the thing is, that was back when I was owner. You've never faced me when I've had a completely clear mind. When I'm completely focused, when I'm angry. When I'm pissed off. When I'm thirsting for blood. Like I keep repeating to everyone, when I get angry, pissed off, and screwed over, it does NOT affect me in a negative way as far as concentration and focus go. It HELPS me. It makes me BETTER. It makes me STRONGER. It's like I'm thinking clearly but at the same time, the thought processes running around in my head make no sense at all.
You stand there with your title belt slung over your shoulder that shows everyone you're world champion. You stand there with it with a smile on your face looking at everyone like it's supposed to mean something. Like it's supposed to impress everyone. You know what? You don't impress me. Screw you and your title reign. Who the hell did you defeat for that title? You defeated Torture in a triple threat match. Torture? JOKE of a champion. In all the years of wrestling, he's one of the worst champions I've ever seen. You're facing people like Johnny Reb. You're not facing any true legends of WCF. You're facing the people that Seth Lerch decides to throw at you. He's throwing people at you. He's throwing people at Torture. He's throwing anyone and everyone he can at champions like you to keep me from you. He fears me. Deep down every champion fears me, hell every wrestler I face fears me, especially if they watch me closely enough or get the bad luck to be the one picked to wrestle me.
Maybe you're standing there looking at the television as I say this and you're laughing to yourself thinking wow, this Gravedigger is a nutcase and is hilarious if he thinks I'm afraid of him. That's fine. Think that. Think I'm a nutcase. Or you could think I'm full of nothing but hot air and you could sit there doubting me, not caring what I say at all. Underestimate me, I'm begging you, no, I'm pleading with you. I love it. I love when people don't take me seriously. I love when people think they can just walk past me. I crush them. I destroy them. I END THEM. Unlike you pretty boy champions, no matter if you like the fans or not, I don't give a damn. I do anything that I can do to win. I have no problem crossing any line.
Gravedigger walks over and puts an arm on Chester's shoulder. Chester turns to Gravedigger. Gravedigger points at Chester.
Gravedigger: You see this guy here? My brother? Chester? I once laid this guy out and beat the living daylights out of him in the ring because I felt like it. My own flesh and blood. He did nothing wrong to me. I love him now and that's in the past, but I just want you and the rest of the WCF lockerroom to really think about what you have on your hands here.
Gravedigger pats Chester on the arm who sneers at him. Gravedigger turns back to the camera.
Gravedigger: So you go ahead. You show up on Slam. You walk down that ramp, you climb those steps, you get in the ring. You wrestle in that tag team match. You leave the match still world champion. You go to Ultimate Showdown against Reb. Win against him, wait for the next in line. That next one will be me. I'll go through whoever and whatever I have to to get a shot at that belt. That belt was made and designed for me, everyone else is just keeping it warm.
Gravedigger spits on the ground and then walks over to his bag and gets a pair of clothes. He walks into another room to change. Chester pushes off of the wall and walks over towards the camera. He grins.
Chester: You think that was weird, listening to him blabber about all that crap, you should see how it is at Christmas. Johnny Reb, Dake Ken. We all know that our match at Slam is merely a showcase of the great and amazing talent that is Exodus. You guys are put in the typical "champion vs. challenger" tag team position that's awkward for you both since you'll be facing each other at the pay per view. There's no way you two can come out on top. The anger that we felt tonight over both the no-show of Madd Dogg and the debut of the Superfans, then watching them be handed the tag titles just made us want to train that much harder and be that much more prepared for next week, when everyone actually gets to see the return of Exodus to tag team action.
We're a tag team that doesn't really lose. We're a tag team that does nothing but win. Like my brother said, the Superfans are the perfect example of the paper champions that WCF has. Champions that aren't truly tested, they get into mediocre matches with mediocre talent and they walk away like they're something big. Superfans, you better take a really close look at the main event on Slam. We will show the world that we are the best tag team. We will show everyone that we are a force here in WCF. During our last big run here in WCF, almost every single person on the current roster wasn't even here. We're basically the only old school WCF wrestlers on the payroll. So even though we've paid our dues here in WCF from back in the day, it's like we have to prove ourselves all over again.
We welcome the challenge. Prove ourselves? I love the thought of it. Whatever it takes to prove ourselves as the premiere tag team and the premiere wrestlers in this federation, we'll do it. Exodus never steps down from a challenge. Doesn't matter if you're a curtain jerker or the two men fighting for the world title, we'll take on everyone. Slam is just the beginning. The Exodus has begun, it's time for one era to exit, and another to begin. The era of Exodus, the era of Gravedigger and Chester. The era of the Borroughs. We're here. We're angry. We're unstoppable. Lay down and get out of the way or prepare to be destroyed.
The scene fades to black.
