*Bright flashes of light are seen going off as we enter through a door and walk on to the set of a photo shoot. It's almost like walking into a different world, well ... if that different world was an art class at a liberal arts school. Everyone looks the part, and even the understudies to the photographer seem to be acting they are the ones who are taking the pictures. Crazy clothes, interesting hair, and all the accessories to pull their odd array of clothes into an almost sense able mix. It almost seems as if there are no normal people in the room, everyone is very ... different to say the least. However normalcy is returned to the room as a group of average joes walk through and start building a set. The photographer, who at the moment is trying to decide which camera to use. leaves the three cameras he has to choose from at the table he's standing at. He makes his way over to the crew members and starts talking about how he wants the actual set to be built.
As all of this is going on, Dake Ken has made his way into the room. He is wearing normal street clothes. Jeans, a WCF t-shirt, with black glasses and his WCF Championship draped over his shoulder. He walks in and removes his glasses, setting them on a table near him. He is then surrounded by crew members who start talking ... about him ... not to him. Dake looks around as the understudies of the main photographer start going over ideas with each other. Framing Dake with their hands and looking at different angels. Dake looks at the group and kind of laughs to himself. He lets the circle around him do their things as the main photographer walks up.*
Photographer: Hello Mr. Ken. Today you are shooting for the cover of WCF Magazine. I have a conceptual idea that I would like to go for. So please be cooperative and we can make this go very smooth and pull off a great cover.
Dake: Cool, yeah I was ... hoping we could ... make me look like the ... king of ...
*Dake's voice trails off as he is now aware the man is not paying attention to what he is saying. The photographer has joined the group and started framing Dake with his hands as well. The others in the group are very attentive of the gentlemen and very eager to here what he has to say. After a moment of searching he stops. He removes a pair of odd looking sunglasses from his face and looks at the shot he has just framed. He seems to have found it, and the others are very interested in the shot he has just found.*
Crew Member: That's it! That's the one!
Photographer: No, it's almost perfect but something is missing. We need this to be perfect! We want to bring out the full effect of the new champion, dethroning a tyrant. He is the savior of the WCF, that's what we want to frame here.
*Dake's smiles as the photographer talks about the shot.*
Dake: Yeah! What he said!
Photographer: You see. You have to know everything about the person you are shooting a picture of, because something about their personality, something about their story can create the photo. Why would you have a normal shot of a normal athlete? An athlete who has overcome so much adversity?
Dake: Yeah!
*The crew has now turned all their attention to the photographer and are listening to what he has to say. Their eyes fixed on the man as if he is a god.*
Photographer: Here's a man who has come back, when we never thought we would see him again. A man who had to face two of the best in WCF right now. Here is a man who has been to the top before in a different place, and all he has to do, to put the cap on his magnificent career, is to win the WCF Championship. It could have been the last title shot he ever had and he had to make this one count. So he goes to battle, and let me stress, there are not just two ordinary superstars. This is the top talent of the WCF. You have the rising star of a Johnny Reb. One of the greatest young stars ever. A man who has climbed the ladder to success quicker than anyone. From the bottom of the card, to the main event. Then you have Torture, the man who has held of the the championship for a long long time. A champion who was ruthless and intent on keeping the belt around his waist. Beating down opponents and striking terror into the locker room. Those are the men that Dake was put up against.
Dake: And I won!
*The attention is suddenly back on Dake, who gets flustered by the quick snap of heads in his direction. Dake gives a nervous smile to the group and a kind of a half thumbs up. He obviously has interrupted the story.*
Photographer: So, as I was saying ... Those are the men Dake was put up against, and he won. He came out on top in a historic WCF Championship bout. A battle that left all three men broken. Leaving Torture with a huge wound and blood loss. It was a battle, not a wrestling match, but a battle. It was about who wanted it more. It was Torture battling to keep his power and his crown, his WCF Championship. It was Johnny Reb wanted to prove that he was the best and silence anyone who believed he didn't belong in the main event. And it was Dake Ken battling to become the WCF Champion and adding the only missing piece to his wrestling career. It was a battle of power and pride and it was this man who came out on top. That is what we must know in order to create a photo that is representative of this!
*Dake has a bit of a smile on his face as he has enjoyed the praise. The photographer now turns and looks at Dake*
Photographer: I'm not going to dress you up in some way for this and I'm going to do a lot of editing or effects. This is going to be raw and straight forward. It reflects your personality and I believe captures the personality of the match you had for the title. It was raw.
*Dake has progressively gotten more into this idea as the photographer has been talking. Dake's ego has become a bit larger with the epic tail that the photographer laid out. Dake has a large smile on his face and is very excited talking quickly and not using full sentences.*
Dake: I like that! No nonsense. No photoshoping like crazy or anything. Something that just captures my personality, and I mean, I'm no nonsense ...
*The photographer ignores Dake's gloating and walks past him.*
Photographer: Follow me, I'll show you where make up is and then you should switch your wrestling gear. The set is going have you elevated and you'll be looking down. So it really will be like you are on top of the WCF.
Dake: I am on top of the WCF! I mean I beat two of the best in the WCF like you said. I'm the king of the mountain. I am looking down on everyone else. Everyone else wants to be me! Yeah!
Photographer: I'm not here to listen to you gloat. I am here to take your picture and make you look good. It's not like I was giving that speech to you. It's my job to know your story.
Dake: Well ... it's an impressive story. It's kinda my job to gloat about it. It's like Johnny Reb. I keep telling him that I am the best and he just doesn't get it. He keeps tying to come after me. I've made it clear to him, when he pinned me in that triple threat match, it was a fluke. When he beat me one on one. It was a fluke. I am the best, I'm the king of the mountain. Not him ... he's just a coward! Couldn't even beat Slickie T and I without a weapon!
Photographer: Well, I'm not Hank Brown so it's not my job to listen to this. If you want to cut a promo do it some other time.
*They continue down the hall way and stop in front of a door.*
Photographer: Go get ready. I'll see you in five minutes.
*The photographer walks off and Dake mumbles a few curses toward him. He walks in the door and the shot fades out. It fades back in on the cover of WCF Magazine. The shot is from below, with Dake looking down from what looks like the top of a mountain. Their is a "sky" behind him that is dark and cloudy. He is in his wrestling gear and the man feature reads "New King of the Mountain." The center piece of the shot is the WCF Championship that is around Dake's waist.*
