The scene opens with an aerial view of Sin City, the bright neon lights, flickering stop lights, and the endless maze of vehicles fill the streets. The camera zooms in closer, making its way down the Vegas Strip, just over the heads of the hundreds of thousands of pedestrians that make their way down the sidewalk, entering and exiting various gambling establishments at will, hoping to get lucky and leave with truckloads full of cash with a simple toss of the dice, pull of the handle, or ace on the river. As the camera pans down the street, it reveals famous landmarks such as the golden lion at the MGM Grand, the pyramid at the Luxor, and the fountains at The Bellagio. As the camera continues down the world famous street, it takes an abrupt 90 degree turn and enters the door of a tall black building trimmed in gold with “The Camille” scripted across the tall glass doors that complete the luxurious entryway.
Once inside the casino, the camera follows a red carpet that flows over the black marble floor of the entrance way and continues up a long flight of stairs to door adorned with an etched gold plate that reads “PRIVATE USE ONLY”. The hand of the cameraman raps at the door and it is quickly opened by a large man dressed in a black tuxedo, complete with the customary sunglasses and earpiece associated with bodyguards. After a short pause the well-built man steps aside as the camera continues to move forward about 10 paces down the dimly lit hallway and takes a slow left turn before stopping at the back of yet another man. However, this man is smaller in stature and is outfitted in a black suit with faint gray pinstripes and black and white wingtip shoes to complete the wardrobe. The hand of the cameraman once again reaches out and taps the man on the shoulder. The figure turns and reveals himself, a tall stone faced Italian, jet black hair that is combed straight back, martini glass full of orange liquid in his right hand. A smirk comes across his face as he begins to speak…
Allen Guiliano – Ah, I suppose you are here for the press conference. It’s been awhile since I’ve had to take the mic and speak about anything but profits and the newest forms of entertainment coming to The Camille, but the people want to hear about this new “rumor” they’ve heard about Allen Guiliano returning to the wrestling ring. I suppose I should dispel those rumors and confirm them as truth. What do you say?
Allen steps forward and pushes open two double doors that are located directly behind the back of the camera. As the doors open, the sound of cracking flash bulbs break the silence and a standing room only crowd fills a lavish auditorium with a single podium awaiting Mr. Guiliano. The camera makes its way front and center focusing on the proud owner of The Camille as he sets his cocktail glass on the podium, places his hands firmly in front of him and begins to speak, media ready with their pens in hand, pressed against their notebooks…
Ladies and gentlemen I want to thank you all for coming out this evening and sharing this very special announcement with me and the rest of the staff here at The Camille. Let me start by saying that it is a privilege to be standing before you, a very wealthy man, a man that is in good health, and a man that has achieved about everything there is in the gaming industry. As most of you know, I got my start on the streets of the Bronx in a small corner gym and less than 10 years later, I stand before you in my current status, in designer suits, and cameras following my every move…
He turns to face the camera with a sly smile, adjusting his tie.
It has been nice being able to sit back and walk the floor of this marvelous casino, but I feel that it is time for me to return to my roots, lace the boots back up, step through those ropes once again, and compete in the squared circle. It has been nearly five years since I have walked down a ramp and stared an opponent in the eye and come Monday night at Aftermath, I will do just that once again, but there will be two men to meet me this time. Two men who have no idea who I am, two men who like myself, are out to prove that they belong in the world of professional wrestling and that they belong in the same conversations as Logan, Jack of Blades, Torture, and Corey Black. Only Dake Ken knows the true talent that I possess and the things that I have done to earn a spot for my name in the XGWO Hall of Fame just before it closed its doors. But as I mentioned earlier, that was 2004 and this is 2009. The game is the same, only the players have changed and I have to earn my spot among the WCF’s elite, just as I did with the GEWF, the XHWF, the UHWF, and the XGWO in years past.
Aftermath is just days away and I can’t tell you how excited I am to look down through the card and find my name on it. Granted I’m not used to having to look that far down the list, but my opportunity is there and I WILL be what everyone is talking about after Monday night has concluded. Sure, the WCF World Title may change hands, but the buzz will be about the “new guy” who opened the show with an impressive victory over Chris Avery and Johnny Anthrax. What a better way to return to the ring than at a Pay-Per-View event, the whole world watching, and the FIRST thing they will see is Slickie T making that long walk down the ramp, the colors of the Italian flag throughout the arena, and Lordz of Brooklyn blasting over the speakers. I know what you are all thinking and I’m going to answer your question. Why did I change my entrance music you ask? Well, the answer is simple. It’s a new era of Slickie T, a new beginning that will eventually be THE end. This will be my last stint as a wrestler and a new song was needed. After the abrupt closing of the XGWO, I needed some closure to my wrestling career, and it begs the question, when I hang my boots up for the last time and have a new World Championship belt to hang in my trophy room, where will the gangster go when he dies?
Finally, on to the last part of business…My opponents for Monday night’s match. Let us start with Chris Avery. Chris, I admire your courage and applaud you for doing the right thing, but you aren’t stepping into the ring with two small time crooks. You are stepping into the ring with two professional…well….one professional wrestler and another man who made a statement in his debut the other night against Logan. This isn’t going to be as easy as grabbing a guy by the back of his shirt collar and expecting him to lay on the mat for you. I agree with you that “the right guy” needs to be the one winning in the WCF and all the politics need to be put to rest, but if you want “THE TRUTH,” that guy isn’t you. The “right guy” is one that has been there before, one that has proven he can compete with the best in the business, the one that has headlined Pay-Per-Views in years past, and the one that you will be facing come Monday night. It’s not about doing “the right thing” in the ring on Monday, it’s about beating the living hell out of two guys until they can’t go anymore and picking up the win. It’s about proving that you don’t belong on the undercard anymore and that your name on the plate of a championship belt. Granted, I’ve got more gold at home than you can imagine, but there is only one thing that I’m after in the WCF and that’s the World Championship belt. I don’t care who I have to go through to get there and it looks like I’m starting with you Chris.
Johnny, you have proven that you are a force to be reckoned with in the ring. It was quite an impressive debut you made against Logan the other night on Slam, but it’s going to take more than weed and beer to even compete against me on Monday night. This isn’t some weekly show Johnny, this is Aftermath, this is a Pay Per View, and this isn’t match against Logan, this is a match against the ACE of Hardcore, The Untouchable, Slickie T. I have been there before Johnny and frankly, you don’t impress me. Curse words, weed, and booze. You’re a cliché for every wannabe wrestling fan out there. I think Logan proved that you don’t belong in the ring with the elite and I will drive that point the rest of the way home come Monday night. Clean yourself up, get in shape, and then we will talk about it, but until then, stay down here on the undercard where you belong.
Last and certainly not least, I have an announcement for the entire roster in the WCF. Dake Ken, you know what I’m talking about when I say that I am going to take this organization by storm. After almost a year of being asked to return to the ring, I have finally decided to do so and it will not take long before you will all know my name and that I came here to win. A great rival of mine once had a motto that went something like this: “Lee F’n Todd DOES NOT lose wrestling matches!” Well Lee, I hate to steal something so original, but you are going to be the last person to ever earn a victory over Slickie T, because once Monday night comes around and my hand is raised in victory, I WILL NOT lose a wrestling match. Torture, you had your undefeated run here in the WCF, I’m going after it and I will not be denied. Once again, thank you all for coming out, and be prepared for a NEW ERA in the WCF once Allen Guiliano arrives.
Flash bulbs once again light the room as Allen Guiliano steps back from the podium, finishing off his beverage and handing the empty glass to a man that stands at the exit to the auditorium. He then stops and motions to the camera as it slowly starts to move toward him, up the stairs and out the door that is being held open for the two gentlemen. The camera stops as it overlooks the casino floor of The Camille, the sound of reels turning, cards being flipped, chips being stacked, and Keno numbers being called fill the air as the camera slowly pans up to the top of the building and then out the top, the city of Las Vegas slowly coming into view once again as the camera moves in reverse down the same street that it originally came in and the screen slowly fades to black.
